  1. Did you ever consider the possibility of him refusing to release material until (if it happens at all) he is able to properly sing that material? I'm getting the impression more and more that he is aware of the problems in his voice.

If that's what you believe, you're lying to yourself. It's ok. Fans here have been doing it for over a decade.

  2. So some of you love Axl because he has no filter and will bash anybody he doesn't like. You even praised him for his homophobic rant against a member if this forum.

But then you whine and get angry anytime somebody else says something negative about Axl.

The double standard is funny to watch.

    Pretty much.

Watching them shift their own principles when Axl is involved is priceless.

  3. Axl dissolved the band to take ownership of the band through the name and then had the old guys come in as his employees. According to Slash, THAT was it.

This is pretty common knowledge among the fans.

Yes but if you read why that happened it's pretty obvious the band members quit. With the exception of perhaps Duff.

It became final when Axl essentially gave up and issued the legals.

Yet, Axl was the one being evasive in the studio and beyond. Sorry, no.

There is also a ton of material the members worked on that didn't have vocals. Want to guess why?

Slash took the best bits and brought out Snakepit album.

Nope. There are said to be songs still remaining that the old members have spoken about that didn't have vocals when they left. Just like everyone was there for the Zakk Wylde experiment.

    1. Axl dissolved the old band and restarted GNR to finalize the contracts.
    2. He brought in Paul against their wishes and when they said they couldn't work with him, Axl's response was, "Fuck you guys."
    3. Both Duff and Slash said that Axl rarely showed up at the studio.
    4. There's still material left that they worked on before leaving.
    5. Axl has consistently in AND out of the studio shown that he is a procrastinator.

Yet, you're claiming Slash was too "strung out" to bother with GNR and had basically quit before Axl dissolved the band and poor Axl was just trying to salvage everything! This while completely disregarding that Slash not only put out an album of rejected material, toured that material and was forced back by management to work in the studio for GNR. Also, the above.

    Do you even GNR bro?

  5. According to the members, the elusive one in the studio was mostly Axl. Painting the picture that Slash was held up in his home strung out on Heroin is inaccurate. He was still working with GNR and his solo project.

There was never a time that Slash was too strung out for GNR. FFS, the guy would puke behind his amp and continue the gig. He was probably the most dedicated to the band.

  6. Not bickering about anything. People are trying to downplay Steven and his style and I mentioned that he changed his style when the band wanted something different and they went to the drastic measure of reducing his kit to make him fit their mold. Considering the time of generic hair metal drums, he fit the GNR mold well.

tldr; Steven was not meant to be pounding every 16th and 32nd note. He did what was asked. We'll never know what he could have done differently.

lol @ Perla being the new scapegoat for the breakup now that Axl is appearing as though he has forgiven "the evil one."

    That's quite a spin.

It goes deeper than that but, perla was a worthless disease ridden hooker who wanted nothing out of life except to take slash for half of his earnings so she herslf never has to get a job that doesn't involve sucking dick. Should sum it up..

He knew what he was getting involved with.

Whether or not Perla is a model person isn't the point, though. She wasn't the reason Slash left.

If people will pay for that and you can make a living off of it, why be a 9-5 slave?

Never said she was the reason he left. Although I do think she likes to stir the pot and didn't help things but regardless they wanted different things so the band split...simple as that!

Someone was claiming she was behind it. Don't remember who because I don't care to go back.

Yeah I mean, I just remember after the Kimmel interview perla had nasty things to tweet about Axl, which was a gutless move by the cunt because she was never in the fight to begin with. I do think those people blaming here do hold resentment feeling that she might have been Slash to not speak to Axl or something idk..kind of like the people who blame beta for the old lineup not getting back together.

Perla is the one that also forced Slash to pay Axl the late night visit. She may not be person of the year but the resentment over any Axl Slash fallout is ridiculous.

  9. If Steven's contributions were so minimal, why is no one able to capture the groove of the classic songs the way he did?

Are we seriously going to claim that a smaller kit doesn't have it's limitations?

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Steven, he wasn't EXPECTED or asked to be hitting something on every 16th and 32nd note.

No we're not saying it doesn't have limitations... we're saying limited capabilities lead to limited results. Steven was great on AFD, he played to the songs and gave them exactly what they needed... he didn't even use the majority of his kit on most of the songs anyway, mainly using - kick, snare, hats crash and ride, so I'm not sure what you're point abut a bigger kit is.

Because they actually reduced his kit for the band?
