At least it's not like Iron Maiden. Exactly same setlist for whole tour. Though they do change it next tour..

6. Big Axl rants.
-
The Offspring used to do a thing where they brought out backstreet boys effigys and beat them up. Bit tryhard imo.
-
Maybe the keyboardists become more relevant since they are less a guitarist now. May help give a fuller sound to the stadium shows.

I think 3 is a good number for the CD songs. Rotate them all though. Wouldn't mind seeing Slash doing the rockers like Shacklers, Scraped and IRS.

I don't think you can have two newly written, never heard before songs on a Greatest Hits
Happens all the time. The new song/s generally are released as singles to promote the album and really need to be commercially acceptable.

HIT SINGLE (lack of)

Maybe he's got a promise of a proper reunion tour (2017) if he zips it..

Someone piss Axl off! lol.
DTJ needs a rant before it.

I think it's good that they are doing CD songs, and it will be interesting to see how many others they will do over time.
What are peoples thoughts on what has happened so far with the new interpretations of the songs.
Chinese Democracy the song is pretty much the 2001 live version with Slash adding some suitable licks in the mini solo. I don't think there's anyway to polish this one without extending it to a WTTJ beast.
I'm liking the new Better intro, but I kinda wish that they don't stop to start Better, kinda keep going with the chugging but make it sound like the Better intro chords. I'm not sold on the new solo for this one, it seems a bit flat. I'd hope Slash could tinker with it and add some pieces of the album version solo, or just do that solo, it suits the song.
I like the solo Slash has put to This I Love, but I thought Fincks solo was a pretty darn good one too, and totally fits the song - ah conundrum. My idea would be to have Slash's TIL solo as an intro, and then do the Finck solo with minor Slash tinkering.
Thoughts..

There has to be a better way for Axl to sing the last part live. I think he should try it like Shackler's Revenge. "I never really wanted to live" got a big cheer!
I don't he should sing the last part at all, maybe end it after the solo.

No doubt he cares, but why doesn't he put in the effort to practise. Especially before a big show such at RIR.
-
They'll probably just do a tour and sign a contract to make sure the main players get equal share and the rest get dregs (dregs of $500 million is nothing to sneeze at)

Got dressed up as them in the Halloween Perth show.

President Widodo - "ok Axl, I'll stop the executions if you put back the old band"
Axl - "ummmm"

Rick would be six feet under before the album would get finished.

The Blues is better due to the intro. SOD intro puts you to sleep, while The Blues picks you up (and is rocking)

"Dear idiots,
Nothing.
Love Axl"
There you go.
PS - I don't owe you anything

Hey "Team Brazil...take notes.
Metallica By Request
November 26, 2013
After spending the better part of the last couple of years making our film Through The Never, we are so ready to make another album... it's been far too long! And when we're locked away in the studio, history has dictated that we always need that inspirational break to soak up all the great live Metalli-energy that you guys bring to the gigs. So as we may have done once or twice before (!!), we will be hitting the road this summer, but not just for another "European vacation"... we've added a twist - YOU PICK THE SET LIST!!
As we embark on two short treks through Europe, we're going to give you, the ticket holders, the chance to vote on what songs you would like to hear at the show(s) that you attend. It will be pretty simple... pick up your ticket(s) online and you'll receive an e-mail shortly after with a code and a link to a site on which you may cast your ballot. We normally play around 18 songs a night, and since we didn't want to be left out of the fun, the band also gets to vote... and we vote for a NEW SONG! That leaves the other 17 slots for you to choose, so vote for all your favorites from the close to 140 songs we've recorded in our career and to make it more fun along the way, you'll be able to follow what you and your fellow fans are selecting by watching the site for continuous results.
Recent movie/DVD, a pick your own song tour with a new song played, interactive website, news that they're in the studio for the next album
Say what you like about them, but that's pretty cool for their fans.

Put out a quality album with at least a couple of radio songs and some decent promotion and you'll get those sales.
-
The intro semi-ruins TWAT. It's so lazy. I reckon Slash could've done something with the intro, but the last 2 or so minutes is untouchable.
-
I don't get it how people get angry at Limp Bizkit and Fred Durst, just because they dressed up as Gn'R. Durst is obviously a fan. What's bad about that? What's with the hate?
Nutswingers will hate.
I think it's pretty cool. Possibly gained GNR some more fans.
Imagine the current GNR doing something like that and coming out dressed (for example) like AC/DC and actually started the concert with one of their songs. After the initial WTF, you'd be thinking it's pretty cool.

Shouldn't be anything stopping him playing the songs live..
