  1. I met many celebrities. The ones who were assholes, I already knew they were. Although some had a 'reputation' but turned out lots of fun. Maybe cause in my country being rude is not a big thing and we are rude back. It's actually weird, the biggest stars are often the nicest, it are the meaningless people around them, who often suck. I actually had a big laugh once, with a huge star about his own entourage. He smoked some weed though, so maybe that caused it ;)

The onces I really looked up to, have been really nice, but I only look up to sportsmen and mainly Ajax players or old players, the only ones who can make me starstruck. It's this thing I have. Lol, emberassing moments right there, specially my encounters with Van Basten and Rijkaard, lol. This was years ago, when they were still active players.

I probably couldn't even talk, when meeting Ibrahimovic for example, that would probably be really really emberassing. He can be an asshole to me.

  2. I like Len defending Shades. I also totally agree with what Len is saying.

Also 'grandma' is kind of entertaining, I have spit my coffee multiple times reading her posts. I think, most of us just can't take her seriously and just let her be, meanwhile shaking our heads in disbelief. I might be the only one laughing about her posts though. :shrugs:

  3. Ah Joop, i used to douse myself in that shit

Did you had any dates in that period? ;)

Seriously, it's so bad and I don't know any woman who liked it. Nasty stuff, it literally made me feel sick and I always stayed far away from guys wearing it. Don't know why guys thought it smelled good

Urgh truly nasty stuff, glad nobody wears it anymore.

  4. I saw Snakepit with Rod, one of the best shows I ever went to. 'Serial killer' is one of my favorite songs post gnr. Also I liked Rod a lot. I prefer him over Myles, Eric and maybe even Scott . His voice suited the way Slash plays really well and I loved his stage personality. Except for Serial Killer, I agree with the horrid lyrics of the Snakepit albums. However GNR has some cringeworthy lyrics as well. Slash's albums are all not that great, when it comes to lyrics btw.

Maybe it's cause I saw them play live, but I think 'Ain't life Grand' isn't all about Slash's solo's. Rod really took the stage (a lot more then Myles) and it was a solid very good band.

  5. I am indeed passionate about this because I was a parent who was forced to make a decision like that and I'd honestly like to get back discussing this but it's just still to raw for me right now. It has been a year and our baby girl was only a little over a year. however for the time being Lio's post sums up exactly what frame of mind I'm in when discussing this topic

Thank you for sharing your experience, grouse. I'm genuinely sorry that you and your daughter had such a heartbreaking time. I am interested in hearing more if you're ever ready. But until then, stay passionate, there's not enough people in the world who care as much as you about anything ;)

Why are you using a smiley for it totally looks out of place and it's kind of inappropriate.

Ofcourse he is passionate and caring about this, he just shared he had to let his daughter go this way. Something so heartbreaking, I hope I never know how that must have felt and never be forced to make that most painfull decision a parent can face ever.

I am so sorry to hear Grouse, you have my deepest sympathies and respect

  6. I'm so happy for the gays. Getting married is a secret thing and I think everyone who is in love should be able to get legally married.

I'm so glad the US government took this vote out of the hands of the states, because most of the southern states would never have approved gay marriage.

Now the gays can pay higher taxes like the rest of us and get medical coverage with their husbands/wives and can legally be with them in sickness and in health.

This is a proud day for America and for all Americans.

I love how you call em 'the gays'

She probably still calls black people "them colored folk".

No she used the word 'blacks' in the past.

  7. On side of my family has roots in so many countries, like Germany, Switzerland, Indonesia, France, Netherlands. Basicly all over Europe as long as it was rich. Unfortunately nothing left of that once rich family. They all suck, were lazy, arrogant and spend all that money before my generation or my father's could have some of it.

The other side is incredible dutch and always have been poor, but they didn't suck and were all good people.

  8. When it comes to sport a birth certificate should be looked into. Only born as a woman should be able to do women sports.

A man is totally different build, the muscle structure and such. It's not fair, trans could dominate women's sports if they are allowed in.

    It already happens.

Totally ridicullous. I am all for same rights and the possiblility for them to change gender, just don't do women sports after puberty. And certainly not at a (semi) proffesional level.

Also I don't understand why they even want that. They know it's not fair, why push those buttons. It only makes it harder for transgender people to be accepted.

There's a transwomen called Miranda Yardley http://mirandayardley.com/ who wishes to be considered female in a social context whilst acknowledging she is biologically male. She makes some good, salient points, she is also a massive rock and metal fan and is publisher of a music magazine Terrorrizer.

Unfortunately she gets masses of hate thrown at her from the transgender community for recognising reality.

That's a very good blog. Liked what she is saying all the way.

  10. 'Expressed his dislike for Islam and mass immigration'

What that means is we're dealing with these first fuckers and then we're gonna go down the wog heirachy, it goes muslims, gypos, blacks and finally, that old favorite, jews

Jews who are fucking the Muslims so kinda cyclical in a way.

Geert Wilders loves jews though. It's what seperates him from most ultra right movements/party's in Europe. He is also less right in his overall program as most people think, except his view on muslims and immigration ofcourse. However his populistic political program is often very concerning. He does use the fear of people in his own advantage. If the elections would be now, he could be the biggest party of our country. That is concerning as well, but also a wake up call. His party is mostly he, it's not a very democratic party. His opinion on things is their program basicly.

  11. Do you know the reason for your backpain? Excersising when doing it the wrong way can be more damaging. Sometimes it's even better just to keep moving, but not excersising.

I am a chronic pain patient, but don't take heavy painmedication, that stuff scares me. I hear really good stories about medical marijuana as well btw.

The exercises I do are the physical therapy exercises the therapist taught me. They think the main reason for my pain is because I fell out of a tree and broke my back when I was a kid.

I would suggest to always go to another physical therapist and see what he has to say. It's just an advise. I have done a therapy what even made my backpain worse. Just as a second opinion.
