  1. Werchter was so much better arranged. They had lockers, you could leave and bring stuff to your car, I could bring my walkingstick (I can bring crutches, still trying to figure out the difference) stuff like that. You expect Belgium to be this strickt, but they were very cool.

Only complaint I had, was I almost got into fight with a girl who rudely wanted to take my place during Jungle, very annoying, and I got really pissed. But with some help, we succeeded in shoving her out of the way and I was able to enjoy the end of Jungle. I got highfives from some people around me and a guy said I was a woman with balls. That was a first, but yeah, don't mess with me when I finally get to see Axl and Slash after 25 years. :P

Haha, it was so funny. Lio is always so calm and nice, saw a totally new side of her. People were looking to her and than to me in suprise and said to me, they didn't want to get into a fight with her. So funny, I responded 'wow me neither'!  But Lio was right, we had protected our spot for hours, no way we would give it up without a fight and in Lio's case literally.

Anyway, I had lots of fun. It was an awesome day. Seeing the guys together was just so great. Seeing Slash playing the songs, is truly amazing. Axl was looking for his voice in the beginning, his voice sounded tired a bit fragile, but after a few songs it was a lot better. But I didn't care, it's the whole show and experience what makes it great. If you expect him to sing like when he was young or hitting every note, just forget it. But if you want to have a great time, seeing those guys together, giving a kick ass show, definately go see it.

Yeah, and been to Syria too. Chanting Quran verses on the street, neighbours say. Can we please just lock up anyone who's been to Syria and is conformed to be radicalised? We should just be clear: if you're going to Syria, you're not coming back in. And if you do, you'll be in handcuffs straight away.

That's how it is in my country.

I tried the fries in Amsterdam and they reminded me of the frites in Brussels only really bad. I'm pretty sure I must have had a bad experience but for me Belgian frites with champignon sauce  are the best hands down. :)

There are hardly places selling good fries in the centre of the city, it goes for every food basicly.

They're quite good. Easily better than those skinny-ass french fries. With good regular fries it kind of depends on the moment.

Just finished a 'patatje oorlog', it was yummie.

I had to search a bit for a place with good fries and good sauce, when I first moved here. It's a bit of a challenge at times. You need fresh fries and fresh oil, a place were they refresh it often enough to stay good.

Wouldn't be suprised, I'm an old man presh, I can remember Man United playing Steve Bruce, Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes, some of these guys are all well into their management careers now.  I can remember Guardiola playing football, Zindane (that was just yesterday really).

So, Ajax vs United well, you're gonna hafta adopt me for 90 mins so break out the Oranjebom and the wooden clogs.  Why was you afraid to watch, i thought they won 3-1 or something.  God i hope they stuff United!

No, it was horrible. The first time they won 4-1. But this time the lost 3-1. See why I was afraid the last minutes.

So I hear fries/ chips and mayo are a big combo in Europe? Now Mayo is probably my favorite condiment but never tried it on fries.......no love for mayo from the European posters?

It's mostly a Dutch and Belgium thing and the way we eat it.

I love mayo, ketchup and choppep onions, that we call a special. Also the combination of mayo, saté sauce and chopped onions is great.

The hand on the shoulder pic, can be explained easily. Unfortunately my english is not good enough to do well. But it has something to do with how long it took to take a pic, people had to sit still a very long time without moving. Many simulat old 'spooky' pics can be explained. A technical story, anyway that pic is not spooky.

With the greatest of respect George weren't exactly known for his brains, bless him.

Aw, He did love the Sex Pistols, so he had some ;)

That vid made me all sad again. Not sure why his death upsetted me so much, but it did. Maybe cause he was so famous, when I grew up and it was so unexpected. It's weird, cause I loved the music of Prince way more, yet his death didn't made me so upset. Also I think GM was a way better songwriter as most people thought. I was kind of waiting for his best work to come. I really liked GM, not only his later music, but also as a person. His interviews were so nice to watch. So sad most remember the scandal and not his work. Anyway it upsetted me a whole lot and not sure exactly why.

  10. That was pretty awesome!

He is talking about Taiji and if you want to know all of the horror, just go to Seasheperds page. There is also a doc about it, called The Cove. Anyway the methods how it's done is sickening.

Another thing what would help is stop going to dolphins shows/themeparcs!!!!. Those are a big reason what keeps this going on. The fishermen make a lot of money with selling the dolphin baby's, more than selling the meat.

I always loved Matt for giving this attention. Pretty awesome Slash spoke out against it as well:wub:.

  11. I know there were a lot of people in that chat. But that particular chat happend like 5 years ago, when he was still a kid (kind off). Yes, I heard of that chat. Anyway, not going to waste that many words on it. I just felt, I had to say something, cause he was so young at the time. And eventhough he could make annoying threads, he wasn't all bad. He knew everything about GNR. Not to mention Axl's hair?

  12. You are all forgetting that Miser knew everything about GNR and whenever you needed a quote or pic he could find it for you. Eventhough his AG posts could be weird, very annoying, but at times totally hilarious in a scary way, his GNR posts were often just fine. Besides he helped people find GNR stuff whenever they needed something. He helped me find GNR info several times actually.

And Graeme whatever happened in your stupid skype chats, shouldn't be discussed on this forum, cause it wasn't a chat of this forum. You probably shared stuff you don't want to see mentioned here as well. You should have kept that to yourself. Ugh, don't understand why you mentioned that on a public forum. I know Miser shared the most private stuff, but that doesn't mean you should share private info of skype chats. Ugh.

  13. You do know, Listen without Prejudice is an actual album of his right?

I agree though, he was certainly not the coolest person to listen to, specially not in his Faith period. Well not in Europe, cause in the US he actual was. Then he killed his fame there with the whole Sony lawsuit. Anyway, I only started listen to him when he released his album Older. It was the greatest cd to make out on?. I believe older was also a turningpoint for him, cause it was a lot more mature, he gained a lot of new fans with that album. You know mature ones.

You should listen to it Len. It's a good album. I think, he was very underrated.

  14. I never was a real fan of Wham! actually, not in those days, mainly cause I was a weird troubled kid?. I did later on loved his solo work a lot though. Listen without prejudice, older, patience are truly solid mature albums. I love those a lot. He had such a pretty voice, good face and he seemed to be such a nice guy. I watched Wham! songs again the lasts days and like them now a lot more? Well mostly the ballads, where you already could hear, there was a true songwriter in him. It's a shame all people could talk about are his arrests later on in his life, while he deserved so much more credit. He was not only a popstar or a writer of great popsongs, he was also a songwriter. Ugh, I am still a bit upset.

  15. Imo George stole the show that night, eventhough I loved Axl's.. But George clearly gave it all. I saw in a doc yesterday he mainly was putting his everything into it, cause Anselmo was in the audience and they knew he was sick. It was the timing, what made George sing even better, than he already could. He called it his best performance ever.

the doc is called 'a different story' , it was pretty good

  16. Like almost every other kid born in the 70s, I loved Wham!. I spend some time today watching old British pop vids of the 80s, pretty good day actually.

I loved his solo work way more and he made some really awesome songs and had this massive voice. Too bad, would have loved to hear new work. He sure knew how to write a good pop song or pop ballad.

Anyway RIP George Michael. What a horrible year, so many childhood heroes gone this year, ugh.
