  1. wooooow. that was raw! blew my mind. it has so much more 'drive' than cd twat. i think it gained more momentum without the bucket solo. even though, that solo is brilliant.

i kinda agree with that "the album is better than the demos" thing, lose your illusions. its much more clean and brilliant, but if these versions of the songs were released in 1999, i think it would have blown people to pieces

  2. Fun note: The vocal tracks from the 1999 album are still used in the 2008 album.

    serious?

    Yeah.

    IRS 1999:

And now listen to the CD version. Well, the vocals were already superb, in my opinion there was no point in re-recording them, really.

wow, how have i never heard this??!

btw, love how the solo in the end is the same as the one early in the song from the album version! it was kinda cool. the song seemed more "rock'ish" with that solo, and the drums were alot more interesting than the album version. made me realize how boring the drumming on CD irs really is :P

That's Josh Freese for ya....quite a maestro on drums

However i still think Brain is the best drummer guns have had

You heard the other 1999 demo's?

yeah, i knew. he is a genius on the drums.

i think frank is the best. he really has nice grooves, and he is playing great and seems perfectly laid back.

no, i don't think i have. i've heard the CITR demo with brian may on, but i dont know if thats the oldest CITR demo. haven't heard twat, but i'd love to

  4. Damn, guns n roses fans remind me of a beaten dog. They dont trust anyone, and the second that someone comes through with any info they flipout and start calling people liars. I only have 1 gnr insider I believe and that is MSL.

    Why?

Because apparently he's email buddies with the president of Universal Music Group.

I am asking honestly alot of people think he is insider yet I don't. So I am wondering what has givin him credibility as a Guns insider?

We do have a insider here though, the user Dexter seems to know alot about the inner workings of GN'R, he must be some kind of insider

Well obviously Dexter knows whats up, but very rarely has he ever gave us concrete info of anything. At least with MSL he seems to have some sort of gnr info. In fact if im not mistaken I *think* he was the one who confirmed the CD release date. And plus he did what no one else could do, which was getting us songs to hold us over untill CD was released.

do you think MSL is actually axl?
