    I'll make both of them I think. It's great that he do this, and I see why it's best to do it the same day as the gig. But for us who want to be in front row it couldn't be worse (you have to choose). Well... Will go for queuing from early morning in Bergen and Oslo, and then go to meet&greets in Helsinki and Aalborg and just hope to get as near the front as possible.

    can you do me a favor and get him so sign my CD cd? :D

    Probably the least-credible thing I've ever read.

    yea then you explain why we haven't seen the video for better? you explain why robin and brain left? You explain why all these things axl promised, videos, touring, press, MONUMENTAL PROMOTION, etc. all went out the window..

    I think it's simply because Axl doesn't have enough confidence in his material to promote it, and if this rumor is true, Universal doesn't want to promote it either to blackmail Mr. Rose into a reunion.

    That's my take.

    I don't see why it couldn't be a possibility.

    it can, i'm not saying that it can't, but why would he then be on world tour, promoting the album right now and not making a new and better record?

    Has enough credible info to make it possible. But an important part is missing from the story. It reads like Azoff was pulling some stunts without Axl's knowledge. But what was the action that made Axl make the cancer statement about Slash?

    I agree, verifiable source or no go.

    Otherwise, someone just took lines from reports and lawsuits from the past year and made up a story.

    may be axl thought that slash was a part of azoffs plot to put the band back together and ruin the new one. (THIS IS JUST OUT OF THE BLUE GUESSING!!) that would be a very good reason to call someone a cancer, better to be avoided. and it would make sense to the "the less anyone heard of him or his supporters, the better" part of his interview. (supporters=azoff?) :shrugs:

    but alot of that story doesen't make any sense. if azoff fired finck to convince axl to get slash back in the band, why didn't he fire tommy too, so that he would need a bassist and a guitarist and go to the people he already know (duff&slash). :violin:

    very questionable story..

    wow, I'm shocked by this...is this fan made or a real commercial?

    Never thought Axl would give up the rights to his music for ads...to my recollection he's never done that before.

    I'd almost even say Chinese Democracy really starts now, stripped down versions of these songs would make the album as a whole sound a shit load better

    that is SO true!

    i stripped down better earlier today, and prostitute. i removed one layer of halvway electronic drums on both on them, and bumped up some of the guitar fills, bass and rythm guitar it sounded aaaawesome :D

    i'm going to upload it to youtube, soon. i'll post the link

    See, this is why I love this forum. Just when I'm starting to get bored with Guns (once in a blue moon) shit like this happens and it makes me fall in love with Chinese Democracy all over again. My favorite thing about peeling back the layers of Chinese Democracy is this: you peel back enough and you arrive at emotional core of the song - the lyrics! I've said it before and I'll say it again, what makes GNR so special is the way Axl and his lyrics come right at you...Stripping back some of the music and effects actually helps some of these songs. For it gets you closer to the words, and closer to the emotions of Axl.

    Not sure who has the multitracks, but if you're listening...I'd love to hear a stripped down prostitute as well....Just go Piano, Drums and Axl...layer in the guitars during the bridge between vocals...but that's all...

    Heck, I'll listen to any remixes and enjoy them....this is fun, fun stuff....Amazing how simple arrangement changes can drastically change the impact a song has...I finally understand WHY it took Axl sooooooo long....How does one know when to stop? Or start making changes? Keep it coming!

    Do you think Axl should leave the US for good? The industry appears to have put up a wall around Axl and they are stifling his output with lawsuits and other ploys to try and get him to sell himself out for their financial gain. The same type of thing happened to Jimi Hendrix, and well, it happens to any artist who wants to stray from the formula that the industry believes made them successful in the first place.

    that is one thing that is VERY lame about the US.

    i don't think he should leave it for good, but i think he should tour the rest of the world more.

    There's autotune in "Prostitute", a verse of "This I Love" and Baz's backing vocals in "Sorry". Other than that, not much.

    no autotune in TIL but if you are thinkin of what happens at 2.00 its just three or four layers of voice. but it does indeed sound like autotune

    prostitute is probably two layers of vocal and ALOT of reverb and delay. i have an audio file with vocal only and you can clearly hear that its not auto ^^

    i haven't heard the backings on sorry alone yet..
