Well I already took a side and I own it. I am a street smart gal who rides the CTA on a regular basis. I know better than to walk in a dark alley by myself. If somebody were to attack me I would fight back and manage to dig my nails into any attacker for DNA evidence. I would call the police and file a report. But I also have a talent for de-escalating potentially violent encounters. And If Erin's brother did punch me and her supporters defended him , I could deal with that. But I would take him to criminal court and not civil court.

You are correct, we don't know what really happened, but since no criminal charges were ever filed, I am willing to give Axl the benefit of the doubt. I once tried to help out the mother of a patient who claimed her husband physically abused her. She turned around and told everybody that she didn't want me caring for her child because I came on to her husband. I should have gotten social work involved when she made her original statement but I didn't and I learned an important lesson.Anyway This is getting off topic and I don't want to derail any threads.

Please do not confuse celebrity worship with common sense. Axl's sister Amy called her out on the auction being self serving and attention seeking. Celebrities are people too. Who better to understand a celebrity than another celebrity. Priscilla described the tell all book by her ex lover as the ultimate betrayal. Oprah agreed.

Annie, as this is a reunion thread, I would like to ask you something, me and many people see you as Pro Axl and basically the people who Axl hates, you also hate them. So IF a reunion happens and you see Axl and Slash as friends again, your perspective towards Slash will be changed?

I don't hate Slash. I think he is a great guitar player. I think his evil soon to be ex wife caused a lot of problems with her greed and narcisstic need to be in the spotlight. Slash even has a Hello Kitty guitar.I met a friend of his named Jimmy who works at Trash and Vaudeville in NYC and he said that Slash is a very sweet person. If Axl and Slash were to perform together and It makes both of them happy then great. I would probably try and see a show. But I am not enough of a Slash fan to go see one of his solo shows.

Maybe it's cuz legal issues with licensing stuff got sorted out. The nice thing about Night train is that you get first access to tickets for shows. That is how I was able to get my ticket for the Brooklyn Bowl.

It's not a classy act from Erin but did Axl deserve any better? I think Erin went through a lot of shit with Axl. I couldn't care less what she does with her items, privat or not.

Axl has done much more selfish things in his life so he simply is not in the position to complain about something like that. I don't think he is anyway...

In that infamous PEople magazine article someone did say that Erin liked to portray herself as the innocent victim, but that she knew how to push Axl's buttons. She probably sold the stuff at the time she did because there must have been some sort of legal agreement in relation to her settlement that she could not profit off of anything related to Axl for a certain amount of time.

Just because an runner can't run quite as fast as in his 50s as he did in his 20s does not mean that he can no longer run. he still sounds great and he would still be the biggest draw of any GNR line up.

So well the announcement was delayed cause of Star Wars, now it has been delayed cause thread could not reach 200 pages by Christmas, We are to blame.

The band never promised us any kind of announcement. It was a bunch of speculators who concocted the rumblings that were the beginning of this thread.

The plain and simple answer is no, his current vocals aren't enough. People will choose to believe whatever they want, you can keep going around in circles, but the pure unbiased logical answer here is no. Its not enough and only cause we are fans do we give it a pass. Different people have different standards. If Mick Jagger sang like Axl does for even one show, people would crucify him. He's set himself up at such a high standard that anything less is disappointment. With Axl, its been a streak of disappointment, so we try to find the glimmer of hope in anything he does, even if it doesn't exist.

I don't care if you love the new band, I don't care if you'd take a bullet for Axl, I don't care if he's your favorite singer, I don't care if you've loved the performances in the last 10 years. His current vocals ARE NOT ENOUGH. There is the answer. If he sang like this on a reunion tour, he would be the weakest link and THAT would show people how bad his voice is. What would people say, Slash is playing TOO good? Insane. Axl's vocals aren't up to standards. You can keep denying it but its the truth.
