  1. I don't know how anyone else feels about it, but it would be killer for me to hear them play the Slither/If the World mashup that someone made years ago. I have always hated mashups, but that one was amazing... way better than the two songs by themselves.

I bet people have tried, but they have been taken down immediately due to copyright. I'm hoping that after some time goes by, it will be allowed on YouTube. I agree about avoiding torrents and the free VPN shit.

Are they planning on selling the show via physical media/download, or something? Because if not, what is the point in having it removed from Youtube? The show is over. The tickets were purchased. It's now history. Having it on Youtube will not take revenue away from them.

Correct me if I'm wrong,  but there were no rants since the reunion. I hope we won't get one now.

I mean sure, it's funny and everything but it's one of the things that should stay in the past, imo.

I was attracted to GNR back in their prime because they weren't a predicable, by-the-numbers band. It was part of their appeal, and what helped make them so interesting. You were never in for a dull night out at a GNR concert, and you never knew what you were going to get, which made it so exciting. They were always in the middle of something, and demanded the world's attention, good or bad. So for me, the return of the Axl rants would be a much-welcomed dash of salt on top of what has become an otherwise bland lump of unseasoned mashed potatoes.

I agree this was unnecessary and redundant (probably TB's doing, since it was posted during showtime).

But there were a few folks on here who lamented the lack of controversy, how corporate GN'R has become and how impersonal their social media have been, etc. So there you have it now.

It would be awesome if we finally got another epic Axl rant during their next concert, followed with a segue into Double Talkin' Jive.

I can't imagine people on the forum here stalking journalists that write a bad review, even if it's a shit biased review. I could imagine a certain type of fans do that, but not this forum. In fact, the consensus here seems to be to just ignore the overly bad reviews and not give him anymore attention. That seems to be the polar opposite of starting a hate campaign online. We're no GNR army here.

Probably because we're all old as shit. If this had happened back during the GNRonline days... holy hell lol

  5. A tad bit off topic, but I find it interesting how most (not all) of us--from the bitchers, to the nut-huggers, to everyone in between-- seem to come together and rally around the band when they're being unfairly attacked by "outsiders". It's sorta like that weird sibling thing, where you can hate their guts, but as soon as someone else does something hurtful to him, you go ape shit and straight into terminator, protector mode. haha

Yeah but a lot of the other shows with Metallica were longer than that one.

This was the show (Orlando Citrus Bowl) where Axl did the interview for the MTV Live & Loud GNR & Metallica special - same tshirt.

When Gilby said, "Nobody's gonna miss this," I felt like kicking a Carebear. I wanted to go so bad. I could have gone, too. But being twelve, my mother would not condone it, and there was no way to sneak out and do it against her wishes. To this day, it seriously irks me!

The problem with either one of them coming back full time is that the setlist would definitely be heavily restricted.  I can’t really see Steven pulling off a song like Coma or Locomotive on a consistent basis. I mean, if you think GNR is a legacy act now, a full reunion would probably be the last nail in the coffin.

I don’t really get the negativity towards Frank. I mean, if you were to go to a gnr show today or any in the last 10 years, it’s painfully apparent that Frank is NOT the weak link of the show.

The problem with Frank is he's basically a human metronome.

He had strep throat. It's easy to take the piss. But the reality is despite not being well Axl turned up and played two shows to benefit disabled young people. Respect him that. And it was only really Jungle that he struggled with at the first show.

I can respect him for showing up and performing despite being unwell, but not for performing in a manner that he knew would be horrendous... and shit on me, it was the most horrendous display I've literally ever seen out of him. Literally.

As I said, there are vocal techniques he could have employed that would have made for a far better performance (as evident by some of the shows he did recently after damaging his voice). Why he didn't do that, is anyone's guess.
