No, it shouldn't be called CDII.

Right when people hear the "Chinese Democracy" part of it, they will be turned off. I mean if they hated Chinese Democracy, why the hell would they want to hear more the same crap?

I liked Chinese Democracy, so I don't have a problem with it, but if Axl was smart, he wouldn't release it as Chinese Democracy...I'm guessing there are several reasons he is calling it CDII though, we've heard many times that he has had many albums worth of material, which was said before CD was released, so it could be that CD isn't a "complete" album, and there is a need for a part two. Also, he might think that by having Chinese Democracy in the title, it will attract more attention, just because the title Chinese Democracy is pretty well known. Last thing, a lot of the songs have to do with China or have references to that area. (Not saying that all those songs were influenced by China) BUT, if it was called something else, some lyrics might need to be changed, as well as song titles.

Axl's hair always looked good in the early years, but then in 2002 with the dreads I was like "WTF?"

In 2006 it looked so much better, but the fact that he let out the dreads and his hair is shorter, and the fact that it looks like he might have gained some more weight, is just making him look pretty disgusting. Don't get me wrong, I love the man because of his singing, but now the dreads that I hated so much, are the things I want back. lol I think the dreads and the beard thing he had going on made him look a lot younger.

Silkworms, kind of an odd song, sounds like a transition song form old GN'R to new GN'R and Axl didn't fully have his voice. It is an okay song, not one of my favorite.

In 2008, I told everyone that I had faith the album would come out that year, and it did. I have faith that we will get new music either this year, or 2011.

honestly, Axl's voice was at its worse in 02', why in god's name would you want to hear anything from that period? I would be interesting to listen for grins, but I can't see myself paying money for it, and it sounding good.

Now that his voice is better, I would just rather wait for that new album we've been speculating, than worry about some re-recordings of the same songs, that were great twenty years ago, and were re-recorded when Axl's voice was crap.

Is it only a way of talking about a new album, cause it has no name yet? Or it did was called by anyone from the band as "Chinese Democracy II"

There is no actual title for sure though, Axl hasn't come out and said "Chinese Democracy II" to the best of my knowledge

I was originally saying new album in 2012 at the latest, but think I'm having a change of heart.

KISS too. They don't do much running in those shoes...lol But they do sing great, live, in their 50-60's.

Axl will only do it if he wants to, and it is iffy to see if he really wants to, but I can't imagine a world without Axl Rose performing on stage.

We might all want that new album, but that doesn't mean we'll get it. :/ We know he has a lot more songs that we haven't heard, but will he ever release 'em?!?

Hopefully we will see at least one album by 2012. I'd love to see some those new songs.

I'm not a qualified therapist. I don't know a lot of shit about this, but I do know we're not in the 90's.

And as for Checkmate, I think it is pretty cool. I always thought they (The General, and Checkmate) were two different songs.

Anyway, from the leak I have heard, I am really impressed, and I can't wait to hear the whole thing!

I can't get enough of it, and what is odd, is that, that one leak is one of the things that brought me to this forum. lol

I think it would be nice to see a re-release of the album, but I think I'd rather have a brand spanking new album first.

Baz said something about a triology of albums in 07' I believe, to all be released by 2012. (Although I really do doubt we will see another album, but it is always a possibility)

I think I want the re-release with new songs, and new artwork, only if it doesn't interfere with any new albums, and the time it takes to release them.

I like a lot of the unreleased stuff, Too Much Too Soon is a song I really like, it has that kinda swing feel to it, and would've sounded pretty good on Lies, and I love Crash Diet.

But I gotta give a round of applause to Cornshucker.... Laugh a little everytime I hear that song, but I like it.

If I had to choose a song though, I would've liked them to put Crash Diet on an album. I'd like to hear Axl sing it now.

I hate to tell you man, but none of us have any speculation at all if that will happen. Many of us (I was unregistered for awhile) waited since 2003 and earlier for Chinese D. Axl may get in a generous, satisfied mood about his musid...but from I've heard, and experienced, it probably won't happen any time soon.

It would be rather unfortunate to not see another album, but I guess it is possible. Axl is a perfectionist, but you never know. I would think that some of the songs that didn't make Chinese Democracy would be on Chinese Democracy II or Seven (are the two speculated album titles I've heard)

I think if it takes a long time to release a new album then we´ll have leaks ... if they put an album out in around two years from now we won´t see leaks ...

Checkmate sounds very real, it is hard to make a leak with Axl's voice that sounds that good...I mean I do an Axl impersanation, but it is for earlier stuff, and it is meant to be funny...can't imagine how one would go about faking his singing and making it sound that good.

I really hope Checkmate is real, those some 30 seconds just leave me wanting more!

I guess from Baz's interview in 07' about their being a trilogy of albums wasn't true, unless he means it as, CD is a trilogy in itself...

I was just looking forward to see and hear a new album. I guess we'll just wait a little while longer and see what he does.

I'm new to this forum, but not new to the band. (Well the old GN'R at least, the new GN'R can be a little confusing) lol

Y'all can call me Scott.

I just wanted to say a little hi, and I also had some questions.

I know that there are unreleased songs, or songs that didn't make the Chinese Democracy Album, one of the coolest ones I've heard is Checkmate. Do you think that more songs will leak? Which leads into my next question, will GN'R release a new album ever again, and do you think that some of the unreleased songs like Checkmate will make it on to the new album(s)?
