  1. no way they miss out showing stannis being beheaded, he is alive IMO.

I think so too, but it wouldn't surprise me since they want to end this in 2 seasons.

fyi Kit is trying to convince people that he won't be back for season 6 in his latest interview,

but there's more chance of Dario=Euron, Clegane Bowl and D+D = T than Jon being done.

Yeah, weird. I'm pretty sure that Kit knows if he's still part of the cast or not. If he is, then may gave us a bit more "diplomatic" answer.

I was talking to Dan Weiss and he said Jon is really dead. But George R.R. Martin left open the possibility the character might not be dead in the books. And then that cast salary contract story came out last year and it had your name among those receiving raises for season six and an option on a seventh. So let me ask you: Is Jon really dead?

This is my understanding of it. I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, “Look, you’re gone, it’s done.” And as far as the salary thing goes, that angered me when that story came out. I don’t know where it came from, but it was inaccurate in many ways. It’s going to put questions into your head and into fans’ heads that things are not what they are. Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, “This is how it is.” If anything in the future is not like that, then I don’t know about it – it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads. But I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really.

  2. I'm not a member there, but what exactly is the point of this thread? Talking shit about other forums (again)?

If you don't like it there, come here istead. No matter what, HTGTH was one of the first GN'R forums and was keeping the GN'R fanbase alive during the dark ages and I think we should all be grateful for that.

  3. I can't remember the last time I saw 'You Gotta Move' on the setlist.

Btw, I think they also played 'It's Only Rock n' Roll' (after 'Start Me Up'), so as usual, 19 songs in total.

Yeah, it somehow got left off of all the discussion on IORR until after the show ended.

For the record, barring the Sticky Fingers show in LA, this was the first time You Gotta Move has been played since 1976 ;)

It was never one of my favorite songs, but it was about time to change a setlist a little.

  4. Picked up the SF Deluxe edition today. Can't remember what's been put online so far and what hasn't, so here's my brief little description of everything:

Basically, everything except live recordings was put online in the last couple of weeks... Stupid move?

Everyone does it nowadays. They do it because it's a way to try and increase awareness of a product since albums sales are in the toilet. At the same time though, I think it's one of the things that promotes poor album sales. The casual fans can listen to every track once online before the album is even released and just check it off their list of things to listen to - it's only hardcore fans that will pick something up despite the fact that they can hear it online right now.

When an artist does this, I generally listen to the first song they put up pre-release. After that I go on blackout mode until I have the disc in my hands. It's just more exciting to listen to something for the first time while reading the liner notes as opposed to listening to it on YouTube.

I think it would be better, if they would put out one song and/or 30sec clips of the rest of the songs. And then, a month after the (re)release, upload the rest of it on their youtube channel.

  6. I paid 100€ last year for the ticket (GA standing)... and I saw the fucking Stones! And they were great; probably the best live act I've seen so far.

Also, I saw AC/DC, Aerosmith and Clapton this/last year, and they were all charging around 100€ for the ticket; so not counting VIP tickets, I can't say the Stones are too expensive.

  8. Great film!

"One day the AIs are going to look back on us the same way we look at fossil skeletons on the plains of Africa. An upright ape living in dust with crude language and tools, all set for extinction."
