  1. It would be cool if Axl released the rest of Chinese Democracy and then did a final album and tour with the original lineup. That will likely never happen though unless Slash apologizes to Axl in the press and takes responsibility for some of the lies he's spread about Axl. I also believe that the record company plays a big part in the lack of material released drama. Axl owes them two more albums and I really think they are trying to force him into reuniting the old band for those albums. We all know Axl doesn't deal with being told what to do so what you get is a stalemate.

You are 100% correct. However Slash has already apologizes numerous times but the task at present is getting he and Axl in the same room. It is getting close, thanks to Duff.

I feel sorry for DJ Ashba though, who will never produce any material with Axl. He has some talent, so I would suggest he audition for another band as soon as possible.

Oh look, Shakamaker with another knowledgeable, indisputable, asanine, "insider-wanna-be" report.

Double Dip imbecile with sprinkles for brain cells. :D

  2. OK, fan or tour guide?

    Both.

NO-this is not his Mother or Amy Bailey-Pearce, can this thread be deleted please, it is invasive and meaningless!

Invasive? What, are we on Axl's personal blog now?

    :rofl-lol:

Think really hard, use all your little brain cells and I think maybe you can figure that out all by yourself, It's fine and dandy to be a fan of someone's music, but you do not have to drag their family into it, especially if their family life was unpleasant and troubling, so :rolf-lol: that babaca.

  3. John Frusciante is too good for GNR you son of a bitch.

:rofl-lol: .... dont know much about johns work othe than RHCP , by the sounds of it i should check it out .

you Should, Frusciante is remarkable,as is Petrucci from Dream Theater, but Guns isn't looking for another guitarist, happy with this lineup ;)

  4. Don't think Axl ruined them? not by any means but I would love to hear the raw demos with out all of Axl's protool layering slash mentioned to compare the results.............I don't have any UYI demos yet so can anyone tell me if the ones that are in circulation are close to the raw demos Slash talked aboutwithout the Axl layering??...

Just my opinion but I think the production on UYI was one of the contributing reasons for the tension which led to the split bewtween Axl and Slash...In the interviews with SLash in the 1994 time frame he stated he did not want to make another UYI, paraphrasing here, and wanted the next GnR album to be back to their AFD roots. I have also read commnets here that Marc Canter stated Slash would not let Axl work on the Snakepit material and I am guessing it may have had to do with Slash not wanting a bunch of protool layering Axl might have done........Hopefully some day the raw UYI demos will surface......

No, what I said was Axl only liked 3 of the songs that Slash came up with for the new record but Axl was willing to do 4 of them. Slash then ran away and did Snakepit instead of staying on board with the 4 songs.

This sums it up ^ Thanks for posting this M.C.

  5. As long as there isnt any new music to discuss and think the mustache is rater relevant.

anybody who agree to removed it just sign up +1

Are you as naieve as that? Do you think a lame,meaningless,idiotic,semi-literate,poll on a message board can dictate the way someone chooses to present themselves to the world?

If you honestly believe this and aren't doing it to be a dick or garner attention, then you must either be totally selfish or living vicariously through someone you admire, It's not up to you,or what you may think, having an opinion and expressing it is one thing but shit like this elevates it to an entirely new level of stupidity.

  6. Hey Axl, get rid of your mustashe, you look like a mid west pimp and its aweful.

I only wish you the best m8, and every fan who agree should sign up here...

HEY RIDDICK BOWE GET RID OF THE MOUSTACHE

THREAD,IT'S NOT YOUR CONCERN,GO TRIM YOUR TWAT HAIR!

anybody that wants to see this thread closed sign up here

  7. shakamaker likes to pretend s/he's some kind of "insider." funny thing is that real "insiders" don't have to prove anything by bragging about their connections - especially on fan message boards.

    Nah, they ain't pretending. fyi

    bullshit! FYI

Who's pretending to be what?? Where have I stated I am in insider?

Well,Duh, you state that you've discussed this with cancerboy, and you act like you know what their relationship entails ie: "they are like brothers" I'm calling bullshit on you and your sad attempt to decieve people on this forum, pretender! <_<

  8. Slash was clearly very embarrased by this. Just so you all know, Slash loves Axl. He gets very offended when people diss Axl, they are like brothers.

How do you know? Brothers? Don't think so :puke:

Slash did an excellent job Dissing Axl himself for many years!

How do I know? Go read his book, pal, for a start. Other than that, he has told me many times.

Slash has admitted to airing negative comments toward Axl when Velvet Revolver first started. However he was on drugs at the time and has since admitted he was wrong for doing it.

Axl did an excellent job dissing Slash for many years also. But they are brothers, and brothers fight.

Is it amusing to you to try and play "insider?" Do you honestly think all of us are that gullible? Slash bad-mouthed Axl for years, denied going to his house, blamed the breakup on him and villianized him through the media, Slash is a passive-aggressive snake in the grass, brothers my ass-slash is a cancer!! ;)

  9. "In 1984, Izzy Stradlin lived in an apartment across the street from me in Hollywood, right behind the Chinese Theater off Hollywood Boulevard. The man seemed to ALWAYS have an acoustic guitar in his hands, and was always writing bits and pieces of songs. He still does this today.

There was one especially melodic thing that he had been working on, and every once in a while he would dust it off and work on it some more.

By 1986, our band Guns N' Roses had a record deal. With that money, I put myself on a small stipend that could basically pay my rent--or half-rent, I should say--for about six months.

One of my best friends at the time was looking to move to Hollywood from her parents' house somewhere in Orange County. She and I decided that we could share rent on a one-bedroom apartment on Gardner; she would get the bedroom, and I the floor of the dining room (which I cordoned off into my little den of darkness).

My other good friend then was a guy named Del James, a recent transplant from New York who became an important part of our tightknit little group of friends and ersatz consiglieres.

Del needed a place to crash for a week or so, and back then, what was mine was his. During that first week of couch-surfing at my apartment, Del and my roommate Debby became romantic, and Del moved from the couch to her bedroom.

Del was an avid reader, and turned me onto a book called Slugs by Shaun Hutson. I remember just sitting in my bedroom/dining room with my curtain pulled taught, and reading this book with life sort of swirling around me in our apartment. There were drugs aplenty then, and Valium was the drug-of-the-month at that particular point.

I remembered Izzy's little ditty, which at that point had a working title of "Patience," and I wrote a lyrical verse then that went, '"I sit here doing drugs/Reading a book about slugs/All I need is a little patience."

This horrible lyric never made it past my apartment front door, thank God. Axl came up with a great lyric, seemingly out of nowhere, that of course became the story and melody of that song. The whistle part at the beginning--a ballsy move by Axl--while seeming odd to some of our fans and critics alike when the record Lies was released, became a part of pop culture. The song just wouldn't be the song without it, right? This was always one of my favorite GN'R songs that we did live."

    Source- Duff McKagan

I don't doubt this at all. I'm just interested in why Tesla is making this claim now, of all times.

I call Bullshit on the Tesla shit!! why didn't they say anything before now?

  10. What's the point in a reunion? It would suck tbh

This question has been on my mind for awhile- why in the fuck would anyone want a reunion? it would put them in the same class as VH,and all the nostalgia acts, why demand a reunion from people that clearly have taken different musical directions,

I was in London when Duff came on, and it was a nice surprise but fireworks did not happen, aside from the pyros, what makes people think it would ever be the same? No Reunion!

  11. You should check out the Madagascar video he has on there as well, the extended intro is beautiful and the song is incredibly powerful. Plus DJ plays guitar with a drum stick :xmassrudolph:

Just a note on the Nightrain video, when you see DJ running along the crowd during the last solo part he was on his way up to the disabled section of the crowd and hugged people inside it which was incredibly cool to see. The guy really is class.

I was there, was increditastically fantaloostic!!

If word does get out, I'd expect it to get out via social media amongst those that were there to friends that weren't. If this is the case, I'd expect a drip, drip, drip cross-section of info that may need piecing together.

Right you are Social media and couple of web sites say it was a private party "Rock against toads' ("toads" being rich women who live at the expence of men) organized by a former top-manager of russian biggest energy company "Unified Energy Systems of Russia". Axl didn't go out, so there were no pictures of him. Room service says he ordered burger and fries, some salads and 0,5 l of 12yo whiskey

  13. Please.

Buckethead was prolific in a way that DJ can only dream of, and he couldn't get Axl to release an album.

There is a vault of material that has yet to be released. There is no way the record company is giving Axl money to record a new album from scratch when there is so much material already recorded and paid for. Especially after the stunt he pulled by refusing to promote the last album, which cost the company big money in lost potential album sales.

It would be nice for the new band to record an album, and I am sure DJ really believes they will. As with most things in life though, economic reality will get in the way of the ideal scenario and rear its ugly head.

Unless Axl is feeling generous and wants to fund recording out of his own pocket, the best we can hope for it another album of re-recorded solos.

Sure, because you are right dead center in GNR business and know what is going on

  14. Can't really committ to much on the cancer and what goes other that to say I was told I had stomach cancer to make a long story short went to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX they said 80% chance I had it. Done the surgery and they said it was not cancer only suggestive just like all the biopcies I had test before the surgery, on the other hand they still can't tell we what kind of tumor it was just that it was not cancer. Lost half my stomach but it could have been much worse.

Anyway there is another illness that Axl is said to have which is Bi-polar which I know a lot about. NOT saying he has it! If he did and on some of the meds that go with it you can lose weight quickly and some other meds will make you gain weight quickly also. For example I took Zyprexa and gained right at 60 lbs in a matter of 3 months!!! I was also on a mega dose of paxil, like 3.5X max dosage and lost alot of weight over the time I was on it. Like right now with the 6 meds i am on right now I am losing weight but not very fast and it is leveling off. Also in my case some of the meds I was on made me so tired and not wanting to do anything for months at a time, I don't feel I was depressed while on those meds just basicly over medicated which keep be here at the time, lots of issues with suicide haven't attemted yet other than holding a gun to my head a few times in the past. It's just with this illlness you never know what tomorrow or even the next hour will bring. It sucks and hope he doesn't have it but the simalairities I see in him are quite striking. I also hope he has never dealt with cancer.

I`m also suffering bi-polar + bad anxiety issues. Always seen Axl with the same thing going on, but who knows....And yeah medication does that, weight gain etc + I`ve seen pics of myself where I look like fat zombie during the bad periods in my life, it`s all really weird.

Axl has never had cancer in any form except for an ex-guitarist, can we lay that rumor to rest now?

I'm Bipolar as well, and yes some of the mood-stabilizers and antidepressants can make your hair condition and weight fluctuate, that said, Madison's removal was a variety of things, not one isolated incident, but a plethoria of acts that finally caught up with her,Karma is a bitch ain't it?
