  1. Have to laugh at all the whining cunts in this thread. Say what you want but I can guarantee he's accomplished more in his life and done more cool shit than any of the useless, bitter little turds that are bitching about him

Accomplished a lot and done more cool shit, yes, no doubt. He's a member of GNR, and a millionaire. He should be eternally grateful for that, since he in no way helped create the band, write the songs that made them famous, or, to this point, done ANYTHING of any real significance to dignify his being in the band. And when he makes negative comments regarding the original members, intentionally or not (remember, Dizzy is a moron) it's like, he really thinks he deserves to be there? He needs to just play his bongos and his keyboard parts, and shut the fuck up.

    cosigning this.

    Dizzy is GN'R

    Deal with it.

No one thinks of Dizzy when they think of Guns N' Roses.

    People say, "You mean Izzy?"

u really know what everybody thinks yeah?

Izzy was 6 or 7 years in the band.

Dizzy 20 years. You really think that's true?

Dizzy's "20 years" is just an empty number...it means absolutely nothing. What has he done in those 20 years? Write the intro to Street of Dreams? What else? Maybe a few little parts here and there, to songs that were already written. So Dizzy has assisted in tweaking some of Axl's songs. Wow, that's really impressive for someone who had 20 years to make an impact. Give me 20 years to focus on writing music, I'll give 10X more to the band than he has. His overall musical talent is shit as well, he lacks style, and has veeerry little creativity. He's just...generic, in the fullest sense. To even insinuate that Dizzy's time in the band is worth what Izzy's was worth to GNR is a fucking joke. No one who isn't an avid follower of the band knows who he is....they think he's some guy playing bongo drums and keyboard. But that doesn't really matter...I've talked to people who still think Slash is in the band, or think Axl is dead...

  3. I think he sounds like a little twat in that interview, particularly:

"From what I remember - and trust me, it was a long time ago and many, many vodkas and beers ago - a lot of people had a hard time accepting I was in the band. They were gigantic when I joined. Some people thought I was just going to be a passing thing. Whether or not the other guys at the time were into it, I don't know. But now they're gone, and I'm still here."

Go fuck yourself, Dizzy. Most worthless member of Guns N' Roses ever.

He's as peripheral as they come.

Exactly how I feel. I've expressed my opinion on this here before, but immediately get bashed for not being a real fan. He should be extremely humble for Uncle Axl letting him be a part of something he has no business being a part of.

  4. After seeing him live, he's a great showman and interacts with the crowd way better than Slash did when I saw him live. (Not that I'm trying to drag Slash into this)

but in a very tryhard way. It all looks very rehearsed/put-on.

Gee, it's hard to see why these threads devolve...

yeah this thread has de-railed...I'll just say those of you who think a GNR tour with no AFD songs would be a success, or draw the same numbers this one is, are fooling yourselves...I like CD a lot...don't love it, but I like pretty much every song. The casual fan does not. Period. It doesn't sound enough like "classic GNR" which is what probably 75% of the fans at each show want.

  5. Not that attendence matters at all to me, all I care is that Axl is playing killer 3 hour show..."

Exactly. Although a big crowd tends to create a better atmosphere. I poked around TM for the Mpls show: LL appears almost sold out. TM even released the seats directly side stage/obstructed view yesterday, so that's a good sign. GA appears sold out as well. I'm sure Target Center will be full in the GA & LL with upper 1/3 to 1/2 full. 10000-12000 people.

I don't worry too much about attendance and all that, as long as I get to see the show, that's all I care about. However, when I see Axl, I want him dancing around, singing his heart out, leaving it all on the stage, and when the crowd is reserved and quiet, do you think he's gonna be as excited and into it as he would with a pumped up crowd? Just look at the WTTJ video taken from one of the South America shows, (Portugal) it's floating around here somewhere...I think in the Omaha thread. That crowd is going nuts. That's the kind of show that I wanna be at. If I were Axl, and the crowd was as into it as they were, it would make me wanna give them an even better show.

  6. "My whole thing is I'm not coming in to this to try to replace anybody. I am my own person. I want to do what I can to do the job justice. I'm a fan of the band, too. I'm trying to give the crowd what I would want to hear if I was standing in the crowd if some new guy was on stage. I don't want to sway too hard off the original vision. People come out to hear those old songs, and they're classics. They take you back to certain memories in life. I'm trying to stay as true to those parts as I possibly can on this stuff."

This is why they won't "double the amount of CD songs" on this tour, or any tour...DJ gets it, not sure why some of the fans on this board don't... :shrugs:

Good article. Wasn't really sure how I felt about him when he first joined the band, but I'm comin around...he's got a cool swagger, but being a huge Slash fan, I can't help but draw comparisons, and I can completely see how some casual fans see him as a "Slash wannabe". He does do the songs justice though, old and new.

  7. Rev still playing...

    rev is done...now we wait.

ahh...I remember my wait when I saw them last year in Manchester. People got rowdy...there were lots of people yelling, I remember one guy yelling "come on dick head" about 20 times. But after an hour and a half, the hose lights turn off, "Blue Moon" starts playing, everyone got excited, then the red GNR logo on the screens, then CD started....fuckin' awesome...so jealous of everyone at this show right now.

  8. I'm thinking NYC will get the New Years show...unless they do it in Vegas, which, logistically, makes more sense...but if they don't do NYC, it's like, really? No NYC, Phoenix, etc. and they're doing shows in Omaha? and 2 in New Jersey?

  9. ..I was waiting for someone to say "OMFG Axl said "Headspace" that's a Velvet Revolver song REUNION STARTS NOW, Axl and Scott must be friends, he would never say that word not realizing it's a VR song". lol. I guess I shouldn't expect that. But when you have people posting a 3 page thesis on why Axl is lying about late starts....well, you never know what to expect from some people on this board.

All in all...I can't wait for Friday... rock3

  10. That was funny, first time I've been in one. Ron answered a few of my questions, and POC wanted to ban me for asking about Axl. She seems very ditzy and dumb, but she is a 21 year old singer, so I guess she's not getting paid to be intelligent...anyway, that was very cool, Ron's awesome.

I got to meet Poc when I went backstage in Houston and she was very nice and sweet! Took a great pic with her Ron.

Yeah she's very sexy...I'd love to meet her! Just sayin' she doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed. But hey, who cares, half the girls I've dated have been borderline retarded but looked great :D I'd love to hang with her.

  11. Ron responded to my question in the livestream, asking of GNR was coming to Phoenix, saying he doesn't think they have a date in Phoenix. That's a major bummer for me, and a lot of other people....do they realize Phoenix is the 5th biggest city in America? I mean really, they're gonna play in Omaha, and not Phoenix? I mean I'll definitely see them at one of the shows in either LA, Vegas, or Salt Lake City, but I just really am amazed, and pissed that they're coming to Arizona.

  12. Oh, yeah I totally agree. However, on the other side of that, we have someone (smart, stupid, whatever) who has insight on stuff that goes on in the GNR world, so naturally, she should expect those kinds of questions. And no one likes someone who spams the same message 20 times, but I dont think that was the case in there, with anyone.

I like how Ron said, in response to something "axlrose" said "Axl, why don't you actually come to rehearsal" or something along those lines.
