I think when you have a band as divisive as GNR, a forum tends to lead to polar opinions. It also tends to be those who speak loudest get heard, and the loudest ones tend to be ones on either polar end.

I don't think that people who saw the original band are better than me, but i do think they saw a better band than I've seen. You know, having written and recorded almost all the songs and that.

curious question, do you think they are a better band cause they were original?

I would argue that someone of the current players, such as Fortus, are far more talented on their instrument.

I'm not whining about it, I'm just pointing out that because someone has seen them with the original line-up does not make them a bigger fan, nor their opinion more valid. I wasn't pointing at anyone in particular it is just something that arises time to time on these boards.

I'm relatively happy that I have seen every member, except Izzy, in some musical incarnation over the past 10 years.

I would appreciate the song more if they maintained the same energy, but removed the industrial vibe and made it more rock.

It was freezing cold and I got to the venue 5 hours early to try and get to the front. I did and I got barrier just to the right of centre. Rose Tattoo and Sebastian Bach were the openers and I was blown away by both of them, especially Bach, man, that guy has pipes to spare and endless energy. At the end of his set Baz reached out into the audience and gave me a high five

Set was an mix of GNR classics and a few Chi Dem songs. It was great, dream come true.

I saw them on the 16th as well, same spot on the stage, Bumblefoot recognised me from the night before and security nicely nicked me a setlist without me even asking.

Oh, and on the 16th when I got out of the show my car had a flat battery and I had to wait 3 hours for the RACV to come...

arent the only awards the album won relating to production?? i may be wrong on this but i think that answers the question.

yeah i mean you go to so many bars in the city that have dueling pianos now days, this would be kinda cool to have it turn into a three way duel almost before axl goes mad on the piano before rocking into november rain

I wonder where Baz's loyalties would have lied should this have been reversed. If Axl was out with Duff, Slash and Matt keeping the name, and Baz booted from Skid Row. To me it seems like a logical solution to two problems.

Continuing the development of the South American tour GUNS N 'ROSES in the first quarter of 2014, comes to us confirming the closure contract for a concert in Asuncion, capital of Paraguay, still without a set date.

The renowned Paraguayan producer of shows and events NICO Garzia confirmed through his Twitter account, which closed with the entrepreneurship of a Paraguayan band to parade through the tour, which is expected to begin March 16 at the Hell & Heaven Festival , Mexico.

Asked by a fan on the chances of the show occurs, he replied: "Obvious".

The tour of Latin America should have occurred around October of that year, however, due to the incongruity of schedule among the session musicians and a - supposed - to focus on recovery recordings and works of a successor to "Chinese Democracy" [2008], the contract had to be postponed to next year.

As much as a by request tour would be awesome for the diehard fans, the band has already acknowledged that their setlist very much depends on what Axl thinks he is capable of each night. There is absolutely no way that they would leave it to chance for this reason. Also something tells me they have a hard enough time rehearsing and adding one new song into the setlist let along having to know basically the entire back catalog.

I think Silkworms is a hard one to put in the setlist. I know it has been there before but it isnt exactly everyones cup of tea. I imagine, if a new album is going to drop at some point, that any songs included in the setlist will be songs that may have commercial value to that album, songs that are 'singles'.

sometimes I get jealous that some members of the forums have a closer relationship with the band than I do, then I read all the arguments and backstabbing and threats and I think, maybe it isnt worth it. At least not in relation to forums.

I think the only people who could give definite answers would be Axl and Duff.

Marc has a more learned opinion than you're average joe and provides us with excellent insight.

I think it is better for forum members to not take sides or start labeling people as liars unless you have absolute proof. Conjecture isn't enough.

GNR have just come off one of their most active periods in two decades... why fire management??
