  1. its actually the signature of the current drummer in the band "Loaded" Burke Thomas. I know this for sure as he personal signed the scratch plate of my guitar when I had a Loaded Meet N Greet after a show.

there is an upside down exclamation point at the start of the sig, then BTO (Burke Thomas Overdrive) then another exclamation point.

  2. does anyone here understand the concept of racism, bigotry or sexism?

do you understand that under the law it is actually up to the person feeling vilified as to whether or not a comment is racist, bigoted or sexist. Of course someone who says offensive things doesnt find them offensive, thats why they say them.

as someone who has suffered an immense amount of bigotry in my life due to a disability it pisses me off when people get on their high horse and say things like "oh well its just a name, get over it"... no... stop being an offensive CUNT!

  3. I've seen this thread 200 times it seems

    Axl

    Bucket.

    Fortus

    Tommy I guess

    Brain

Edit: I thought you said apart from the original line up and then I went back and reread your post and you've included original members so I guess I'd include as many as the originals as possible.

But it Just wouldnt work or b fair to the original guys to take them on as hired hands to play with guys that had nothing to do with the makings of classic gnr. But 1987>1991>1993>1994>2002>2006>2010+

It just gets worse with every lineup change. There were some decent line ups post uyi era gnr, but never as good as the previous.

Bucket is no slash. Just like bumble is no bucket. Just like dj is no robin. Etc etc.

Sorry what i meant by "Apart from the original line up" was trying to stop people just saying "Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven".

  4. I dont understand how people can say TB arent qualified to manage Axl & GNR... what qualifications would you like?? an MBA???, CPA???, PHD???

im pretty sure that over a decade of on the job experience is pretty comparable to a "qualification" whatever that means.

Exposure enhances knowledge and hard work breeds success.

  5. Sorry if this has been started before, I looked and couldnt find the topic so...

Apart from the original line up, if you could choose who was in the band and who you think would work well together, who would you go with??

    For me...

    Lead Vocals - Axl (obviously)

    Lead Guitar - Robin Finck

Rhythm Guitar - (hardest one in my opinion) personal preference Richard Fortus

    Drums - Brian Mantia

    Bass - Duff

    Piano - Dizzy

It would be great to have Robin in the band again, I think him and Fortus had such a great chemistry together on stage and their playing styles really complimented each other.

  6. As much as I enjoyed listening to Going Down, I would never have leaked it if I happened to have it... This is just a perfect example of an upset minority ruining it for the majority... like in everything.

What exactly was ruined? I'm not too convinced we'd officially hear it this century anyway...

Most people also thought that Chinese Democracy would never be released...

  7. If Chinese Democracy was full of tracks like Going Down then it would have probably been more commercially successful, more radio play etc. Going Down definitely seems like it would be "what the label wanted to hear" when they were dealing with the Chinese Democracy Saga. I think if more of the songs were like this rather than like IRS, ChiDem etc then GNR would have been looking at a resurgence of epic proportions. The label would have had an album they could actively market as a mainstream rock album, and I am actually ok with GNR going that way as long as it sounds like GNR. I love the CD album but with songs like this in the vaults it really makes you think "what were you guys thinking putting songs like Scraped and Riad on an album when you had this".

Whether it happens or not is another thing, though I for one am excited by what kind of album we would get should another one rear its head. For no reason other than my own thoughts, I tend to think that Richard is being more truthful when he says something is likely to drop in 2014 than when Pitman says in an interview that "we arent interested in another album" because he is the only person who has said "not interested".

  8. Why feel sorry for Ron. He's only been in the band for SEVEN YEARS. Until you've done a decade in Axl's band covering other people's material, you're still considered a new member.

i dont feel sorry for Ron, it's hard to feel sorry for people who earn so much more than i do lol
