  1. People aren't quite buying it because there's glaring holes. When was the last time something like this happened to an A-list celebrity? And it just happens to happen to one of the most notorious attention whores known to man? The same attention whore who staged a marriage for ratings and tabloid covers? Sorry, you can't blame people for being at least a little skeptical. And you're  telling me there was only one bodyguard for all three or four of those sisters? Even if she was in a "secret room", these people have at least one body guard stuck to them like glue. They wouldn't leave her in fucking Fort Knox without at least one guy planted at the door.

Also, I heard ratings for their show are plummeting. What timing...

  2. I don't feel bad merely because I don't believe the story. People with net worths of their caliber don't get robbed by a bunch John Doe nobodies. They're as highly secure as the god damn president. The premise is faulty. How convieniet the kids wouldn't be with them too. Kanye had a concert at the time, so where exactly were they, and why wouldn't they be with their mother? It's not like they had school in the morning or some shit. And then you have the fact that these people do anything for attention and ratings for their show. Wasn't that whole marriage to Kris Humphries staged for ratings? Not a whole lot of suspension of disbelief required she would then do this for a "on this very special episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians"

BUT, if this was indeed real, she does have my sympathy. Dan's right, being a celebrity in the vain that these broads are celebrities isn't some kind of grounds for "who cares? Let them rot". I'm just not buying it. Not yet at least.

Wonder if Taylor Swift was behind it if it's really true though,

  3. Gnr are essentially a trio now consisting of Axl, Slash, and Duff. Which is why they're making, by far, more money than the rest of the guys, making all the calls, and why they're the only ones featured in ads. If it were a one for all and all for one kinda deal, the "band" as a whole would feature collectively as equals, at least in how they're advertised. They don't. And they don't because they're not. The rest are the expendable backing band, literally in the shadows, making peanuts compared to what the big three in the spotlight are making. Like Bon Jovi's bass player.

    Let's be real here.

  4. What I don't get is why they just didn't get rid of Shitman's role along with Shitman himself.

This topic has been beaten to death, but even when I went to the Pittsburgh show live and in person, I can't hear a damn thing Melissa actually contributes aside from backing vocals even during the CD songs. What's the point? Couldn't Dizzy handle it by himself? Or couldn't they just use a simple backing track for the barely audible parts no one, and I mean no fuckin body, cares about? The money they're wasting on this useless broad who contributes nothing we can even hear could've and should've been used to sweeten the pot for Izzy (assuming he did actually bow out due to financial circumstances).

  5. At the end of the day, I don't really care when the songs were written to be honest. At least to an extent. It's the recordings that I want to sound fresh, and most importantly, cohesive. The roots of the when the song began come second in my book. If Axl has something from the CD era Slash, Duff (and hopefully) Izzy can work their way around, cool. If there's something from the ill fated 90's sessions that sparks their interest now, cool, go for it. If there's something they just started now or recently that can result into something great, that's awesome too. A combination of all three scenarios would work really well in my opinion

But I don't want it to be Slash and Duff just adding afterthoughts to old CD recordings from a decade plus ago. That sounds awful and doesn't even remotely hold my interest. If that's the route they (Axl) goes down, the whole thing can just suck a dick.  At the very least, start the recording process entirely over and use whatever they had written and what they've written since as a foundation. That sounds like the  best option to me, and is more than possible so long as they all have their egos checked at the door.

    Let us pray ??

They are really trying to sway the internet buzz (or lack thereof) on this movie; old and new cast will appear on Jimmy Kimmel.

Watching the Kimmel thing now as we speak. What a pit of despair. It's exactly what you'd expect from them at this point. A textbook last ditch effort to persuade us the movie won't be as shit as it probably will end up being  . Alkroyd especially would look less pathetic outside Kimmel's building begging for change. Jesus Christ. I literally don't know whether it's more appropriate to  or .

  7. Ah, comics. My old geeky little guilty pleasure. I haven't read comic books in general since about 2008 when they undid Peter and MJ's marriage and basically retconned the ten years of stories I invested my time and interest into (have they ever actually explained why he lost the organic webbing, "The Other" powers, and Gwen and Norman's twin bastard children they said they'd eventually elaborate on when Brand New Day began? because last I checked, it was all still fucked up). But I don't understand why they do these things, and why it gets so much media coverage, when they never stick with them.

Peter Parker revealing his identity in 2007-backtracked

Peter Parker dying and having his body taken over by Doctor Octopus (with the whole THIS IS PERMANENT mantra)-backtracked

Captain America dying in post civil war, with again, the whole THIS IS PERMANENT mantra-backtracked

those are just the ones i remember off the top of my head. Have they ever actually stuck with any controversial storyline, even after they promised they would? What's the point? Christ, it's only a matter of time before they REALLY bring back Gwen Stacy (which they almost did with Brand New Day).

  8. I have no problem with this as a general concept. If you wanna start a movie from scratch and have the characters be gay, fine it's 2016 and beyond now. Have at it.

But it's the tone of these "proposals" that leave a bad taste in my mouth. They're essentially thinly veiled threats (poorly) disguised as polite proposals. Because God help Disney if they dare not make Elsa gay now. If they go down any other path, there will be a shit fit unlike any you have ever seen. "Disney supports bigotry", "Disney still thinks homosexuality is 'unnatural'", "Disney encourages closeting", etc. etc. ranging and raging from tweet to tweet. The LGBT crew wants everyone bullied to submission with their aggressive agenda, and it's fucking working. They realize the power they have now, and they're not afraid to use it, and more than that, abuse it.

And the James Bond thing is such a bullshit thing as well. James Bond is an established character. He's white. He's British. He's a womanizer. Get the fuck over it. Now that's not to say a black, Muslim, Red feathered fucking capped Indian and/or gay man/woman/person can't do what James Bond does. You want to establish a Muslim homosexual secret agent? Have at it. Nothing wrong with it. All the luck in the world to you in hopes that it finds an audience. But trying to bend and twist a long established character just for the sake of #politicalagenda? Fuck right off.

  9. She should be gone because they shouldn't be wasting set list space with nu songs no one wants anyways. I get that they're there solely for Axl's fragile ego, and fragile ego only, but when virtually everybody in the audience either uses the songs to rest or take a piss, you'd be best to reevaluate. It was ok for a trial, but now it's time to get rid of the errors.

  10. So what's the real story then? According to those "in the know (no disrespect intended)" Axl got Slash and Duff back after DJ left as something of a last resort (), now DJ's claiming Slash and Duff were invited back before he even left the band. Interesting.

I guess you can say he walked away from a pretty big and easy payday. Then again, reports seem to indicate everybody in the current band that's not Axl, Slash, and Duff are getting paid in the ball park of what they were getting paid beforehand. So maybe DJ thought Sixx was more worthy of his time. I find it extremely hard to believe DJ left just to be humble. It probably just wasn't worth it for him, especially being knocked down from the spot light. Nevertheless, he's gone forever, and however that happened doesn't matter. I'm warm and fuzzy inside.

  11. And even if he were telling the whole truth with that post, it's not like he even specified when Slash asked or even for what band? Was it before Richard got hired by Axl? Could it had been for the 2000 version of Snakepit?

I've seen too many people jump on this statement like Slash not only wanted Fortus, but wanted to steal him from Axl's clutches pretty much out of spite. There's really just too many unanswered variables to determine either way.

  12. This show really needs to pick up the pace next season. I let it slide last year, but now I'm contemplating giving up. A 10 episode season after a ten month hiatus, and barely anything moved forward. You can't be this slow when you only have such a limited time to capitivate an audience. Two (or was it three?) episodes of Mike just stalking Hector around with no pay off? Wtf? And that cliffhanger was something that would've worked well for a "see what happens next week!" kinda episode. Not a "come back in a year and see how Chuck will maybe fuck over Saul". I even could've maybe understood if this was a FOX or ABC show that would be back on in three months. But ten months? No. That's the reason the ratings keep going down. You can't expect to hold people's interest a year from now going out on a mouse fart.

Again, the show may be solid overall by spin off standards. But more and more I wish they would've made the spin off a prequel focusing mainly on Gus and Mike, with the origins of Saul as a side storyline. That would've been much more interesting. I've said from day one Saul's a great secondary character, but there's not enough star power in him, or Odenkirk for that matter, to carry on a whole show. And this season all but totally solidified that belief. I'll give it a few episodes next year, and if nothing ups the ante by then, I'm giving up. But people still claiming this is on par with Breaking Bad are on crack.

  13. I'd like them to replace The Seeker with Slither and This I Shit with Fall to Pieces if anything. It's very reasonable. Two CD songs are already two too many and are more than enough. From a commercial pov, it makes more sense since they were actually hits, the general audience are more prone to know and like them, and the association with Slash and Duff compared to The Seeker having no association with any of them. What's the big deal?

  14. To me, they're just replacement covers for songs like riff Raff and Glad to Be Here. Convenient piss breaks.

It is what it is. A slight compromise for Slash and Duff so Axl doesn't have to have his ego bruised. Still think it's utterly pointless since no one in the audience cares/wants it. But small price to pay to have Slash and Duff back I guess.

I haven't heard any talk of either of them.  Rumor is Adler is recovering from a back injury.  I know it's sort of a "no fun" answer, but I'm not expecting either of them tonight.  I think it may take a while before we see Izzy get involved.  We'll probably see Adler get some songs and appearances here and there as the tour goes on this year.

Sadly I expected as much. Just was hoping with it being Izzy's birthday and all...
