Its over 5am here. My wife asked what the fuck are you still awake!? Explained. She said its 3 songs and Axl gets pissed "im going home" and the reunion is over....come to sleep. Nooo!

I'm literally bailing on my plans tonight to catch all the action in real time. Ive been waiting for this night since my balls dropped in 2003. So don't feel too bad . This is one big fan boy sleep over tonight, and the first one to fall asleep gets tea bagged

  2. Still hoping the second keyboard is Axl's piano for the night. If they have keyboards at all, doesn't that mean they're at least playing uyi stuff? If they are, wouldn't they play their biggest hit from those records (November Rain)? I have yet to see Axl's piano, which I doubt they'd have room on stage for, or a third keyboard to sub for Axl's missing piano, so maybe we got lucky. Please tell me we got lucky. Please. Like, pretty please?

  3. Meh. I love Izzy, and believe he more than deserves to be there. I'm totally bummed about his probable absence. To a much lesser extent, Steven too. And obviously writing and recording is a completely different story, but having Axl, Slash, and Duff are enough for live performances, and I'm completely indifferent to Fortus either way. He never did anything terribly offensive in his performances. Frank is one bad aspect in an otherwise lollipop guild. As long as it's at least Shitman free, I'm more than content.

Let's get it on. Please, please, please somebody, fucking anybody, somehow get us just a few clips and a few good pics tonight. I'm begging!

That's the best news i've heard all day.

No Shitman, three guitars, or Team Brazil at the helm? Maybe Slash and Duff DO have say in the band. And clearly, it'd be for the best.

The promotion does scream competence now. Something that's as foreign as English to Axl's people.

Guessing they're just managing Axl now instead of the whole band/operation. And thank the fuck Christ for it!

  5. Izzy's sudden silence on Twitter came almost immediately after Del and Jarmo started following him on there. And I highly doubt either one of those things would've happened had there not been progress on Izzy's participation.

And I still refuse to believe Adler would have not thrown a shit fit of proportions we've never even imagined had he been entirely banned from the reunion. The Whiskey's tweet pretty much confirmed that GNR is playing a warm up gig. I can't imagine any other logical explanation.

I still also believe Izzy and Steven are only partially in, and that the Axl, Duff, Slash, Fortus, Frank, and Dizzy lineup is who we're gonna get on the regular. Perhaps the reason they haven't confirmed it was because they were still working out the kinks behind the scenes with Izzy and Steve, and they didn't wanna face backlash from people bitching in case people feel duped that they're not there at all, or that they're not there for all show every show. Which, unfortunately is probably the case. But there's no way they're not gonna be apart of this to at least a limited capacity. I'm sure of it. Like, put money in escrow against MSL sure of it

  6. I'm more shocked (but totally ok) with the fact that they're only doing two guitars. I thought for sure Izzy, Gilby, or Kushner would be filling the slot along Slash and Richard.

So glad the probability of Shitman really being gone is even higher now. And I still have faith Izzy can easily show up at these gigs. No way Del and Jarmo would follow him on Twitter if his being out was a done deal. And Steven has to be in at least to some extent or he would have cried a river and/or ODed by now. Things are looking good, and I'm feeling more positive vibes about these shows than I was a week ago.

Let's hope for more reasons to stay positive. Keep the faith my friends ✌️

  7. Glad this is pretty much confirmed. But damn, I thought for sure they'd go the three guitar route. Whether it had been Izzy, Gilby, Kushner, whoever. Wow.

As for Shitman, it's like I said before. Maybe he's still in in a studio capacity, but they gave him the boot from touring. Would also explain why he gets to keep his side projects going while Fortus, Frank, and Dizzy had to "clear their schedules. That was probably a Slash thing, which would be cool since that would probably mean Slash and Duff have some saying power in this operation. :).

But yeah, glad they got rid of the dead weight. At least for touring. Explains the round of shit fits. Definetely softens the blow of Izzy's probable absence.

I don't think he lied...I mean if he did that it was probably approved by whoever is running the show and that really makes no sense.

Given everything we've heard and trying to piece together fact from fiction, it is my feeling he was ok doing something to be part of this.  However, it seems reasonable to assume there was a term (or terms) as a result of his involvement that he was not agreeable to and backed off or out.

I think this is also part of the reason we've heard nothing about future dates beyond April to this point as well as the rolling out of the tour has come to screeching halt at the same time Izzy came out on Twitter and said he wasn't involved.  Those two things seem to be intertwined to me.

obviously this is just speculation at this point and my opinion, FWIW.

Haven't Axl's two most notorious bottom bitches (Del and Jarmo) followed Izzy on Twitter since then? I think that's a telling sign that at least talks are under way now. Needless to say, I don't think those two dickless turds would follow him if there was bad blood between Izzy and the master.

Therefore, I still believe there's a fighting chance they're gonna try to get Izzy for a recurring role. Shit, maybe they already have. I'm not investing my faith too much into the positive side, but I at least still have hope.

Axl could be using Slash to sell out a year's worth of shows, and then after Coachella, he fires him

Axl wouldn't be above doing that

There's no going back now. If Axl does these shows, finally giving the public what they've been begging for for practically 2 decades, he can never go back to having a bunch of nobodies playing the leads to Sweet Child under the gnr name. He'd be a fucking suicide bomber.
