Izzy tried to confirm by giving me another story that only he and I would know, but you lot have got me paranoid as fuck lol. I've refused his second attempt to prove that he is Izzy and again thrown the ball back in his court. If this is Izzy it's safe to say he will never contact me again and will think I'm a complete loony

Was this certain story through e-mail? If so, is it possible the hacker read the e-mail of the certain story you're talking about?

holy fat fuck, this is the strangest thing to happen to us in quite some time, if not ever

Izzy has already signed a contract for Vegas and Coachella. That's a fact. After Cochella he said he does not want to deal with them anymore.  His words.

But why would he write it off already? I can understand not wanting to be around on a consistent basis after that, but to completely close the door on them?  You'd think he'd at least wait to see how these shows go, right? Why wouldn't he?

And still not even remotely convinced this is real. Eddie Money has been right about everything so far. So if he says Izzy's still in, I believe him.

  3. I don't care if they take the best of what Axl has (and hopefully the best of what the other guys have or come up with) and go from there. I'm not asking for the writing process to start all over. But at the very least, I want the music rerecorded from the bottom up. If it's just Slash and Duff being whipping boys and adding a few things here and there to CD 2 shit, this is can all suck a dick.

Like I said It'd be a god awful idea commercially at this point too. Making your next come back album sound drastically similar to your last comeback album everyone (fair or not) thinks of as a failure. A few contributions from Slash and Duff aren't going to be game changers if that's the route they're going down. Restart the recording with who's there now, or bust.

  4. If it's just Slash and Duff adding after thoughts to CD 2, I'm not even remotely interested. In Axl's own words, CD 2 is very similar to CD 1, and merely having Slash and Duff "adding their flavor" to that kind of material just doesn't sound promising. Plus cohesive issues on top of that. Horrible move commercially speaking as well.

So personally, I rather have no album than an incohesive, butchered, cut and paste shit show.

    Thanks but no thanks.

Aaaaaand that's where you lose me. It's not ignoring the solution, it's thinking that a separate unisex bathroom is more attainable than doing away with all gendered bathrooms. This isn't "insane degeneracy," it's pragmatic organizing. You need to make change incrementally. Start with a designated unisex bathroom to provide choice: you can use the male bathrooms, the female bathrooms, or the non-gendered bathrooms. As long as society refuses to acknowledge that gender is a fluid spectrum rather than a rigid binary, you need to simultaneously pursue unisex options while respecting society's anachronistic views.

And the argument that people will fake gender identities to get into other bathrooms is fucking insane. In fact, providing non-gendered options will eliminate the risk of that happening. So keep the strawman out of the argument.

Society itself is deranged as long as it has this much trouble accepting people for who they are and just letting them live their lives. If you feel like we need a law that says "you can't have a bathroom that you feel comfortable in," you're the deranged one.

You can't when the laws are so loosely defined. That's why the Houston "bathroom" ordinance fell flat on it's face in November. The way a lot of these proposals are set up are free for all. All you need is a mere claim that you feel like a man or woman on that day. You think pervs won't take advantage of that if we go full throttle with this policy across the whole country? Yes I understand that pervs can already go into the opposite sex's bathrooms to rape . But these proposals make it easier for them to prey. Especially if it eventually becomes the norm to the point your everyday run in the mill man walking into the bathroom (looking to cause trouble) either won't arouse suspicion or make people feel too guilty of PC bullshit discrimination to investigate further.

It may not be entirely fair that genuine trans people have to suffer the blow, but it's even less fair that the greater amount of society has to make these ludicrous accommodations for such a small portion of the population. The system we already have is the one best fit of society.

  6. How much would it really financially cost the band to give even a print interview or two and let us in on what's going on so far, and what's the game plan. Axl and Slash are back together. Axl and Slash are actually back together. Do you even remember how far fetched that concept was a month or two ago? You'd get laughed the fuck out of here even joking about it. Why is the premise behind it such a secret when the secret's already out? Why can't they let their fan base in on fuckin' anything? No logic in any of this.

Let me show you what you would probably post if the band was doing heavy promotion of the upcoming tour:

"With the tour quickly approaching, I can't believe how much GNR is selling out with all the TV commercials and print advertising in magazines.  Are they taking a page out of the KISS playbook? I've tried to be optimistic, trying to come up with some rhyme and/or reason why they're so fucking gay with all these late night interviews and MTV spots, and have come up with nothing logical other than they're selling out. Why aren't at least Axl, Slash, and Duff being a little cryptic?  So far this band's being promoted like the latest diet fad on TV. What's the fat fucking commercialized hell?

It's completely and utterly inexcusable at this point.  Sell outs."

That's what we'd be hearing if they were heavily promoting things.   Shit if you do, shit if you don't.  You can't please everybody.

And seriously dude... there are a lot of things in life that are WAY more important than GNR.  You should be thrilled the old guys are getting back together again and the future is seemingly looking bright.

    CHILL.

Uh, no. That's just absolutely absurd. Did I really miss something? Did this fanbase really go full retard?

At this point the only people being gay are the ones still complaing about how this band goes about their business. You should finally know after 30 years. And as is seen by ticket sales, promo is not needed at this point. And crybabies, who can't wait 2 months to get their answers are not needed either.

This is the magnum opus most thought would never happen as recently as two months ago though. I mean, even Axl can't be that fucked in the head to botch something of this magnitude. How can you possibly be that retarded?

  9. If they're getting to the point where they're using Axl, Slash, and Duff in promotional materials, then they should be able to go out there and at least talk about the basics. The stuff they have to work out in terms of who's doing what beyond Axl, Slash, and Duff is pretty minor at this point. Izzy's already confirmed for what he intends to do, and Steven's presence or absence isn't really a big game changer in the grand scheme of things.

I still have a hard time believing they're booking show after show without a concrete, solid line up at this point. We know they've been rehearsing. Other than guest appearances, everything's gotta be in place. The rest is minor shit.

  10. Honestly, I'd be happy to see Adler there, but it's hardly a deal breaker if he's absent. I rather have just about anybody other than Frank behind the kit, but again, also not a deal breaker.

Shitman appears to be out and Izzy should at the very least be at the shows announced so far, so I'm happy we at least have the core four for the time being. He's more likely to be apart of any material they create now, and that makes me more than content. Again, I just hope this "reunion" isn't just Axl being a dictator about everything. That sours all the enjoyment out of it for me. It's hard to tell at this point if they're operating under the partnership from before Axl took the ball and went home, or if Slash and Duff are just whipping boys for Axl's nu guns show. If it's the latter instead of the former, Fuck. This.

The line is very murky as to if this is Axl's gig or compromise galore. I'm still willing to wait and see, but iffy at best about the writing on the wall so far...

I didn't know about the recent drama! What did he say about the management? For what it's worth I also don't see the point in him being there - Slash's band sounded fine playing the GN'R stuff and he doesn't even have a keyboard player. In the CD era he made sense but now it's basically a reboot what's he going to do - play the bongos all night?

It was about three weeks ago. He was having a veiled little bitch fit on Facebook because apparently management told him to stop talking about coachella. Then suddenly, on the same day, he takes gnr out of his Facebook bio. Why else would he do that unless he was out?

Plus Eddie Money, who's a resident insider here, knows who's confirmed in the lineup so far, and Pitman's no where to be found. So if I were a gambling man, I'd say we're Pitman free and you can take your 8 and under crowd with you to the show without fear

  12. I still highly doubt Pitman will be there. It's too coincidental that he'd complain about management while removing gnr from his bio on the exact same day. If this really is a partnership of any kind, I can't imagine Slash wanting him on board. He's absolutely useless, only dilutes the sound with needless tripe, and looks like a kiddy gobbler. And the benefits of having him live are where, exactly?
