  1. Rock in Río 2011 was a complete mess

but how hyped we were for that performance. First Axl appearance since Dubai 2010, his voice in 2010 was at its peak and we would receive the first pro shot of the tour.
Also, the leaked setlist was huge. It even included oh my god and going down + estranged back after 18 years

then it all happened but it was a fun night.

i also remember that as years passed with few to none setlist changes; we went crazy for there was a time being performed or the return of civil war.

I attended 4 shows of that line up and they were great except for Buenos Aires 2010 that we couldn’t hear Axls voice + he was like 3 hours late

I’d be interested to know what some people had hoped for with The General. It was never going to be some straight forward “normal” song.  We all heard over the years tidbits that hinted at what it was.

Were people hoping for something longer? More catchy? More orchestra? To me it’s exactly what I had hoped for. Something that pushes what GNR can do. It sounds nothing like anything they’ve done. I can’t decide which one I like more between that and Monsters but they’re both top tier guns songs to me.

I think I was actually expecting what I heard. Loud guitars (chorus) deep obscure lyrics, some good vocals and the strings intro somewhere in the song. It has that ‘epic song’ feel. Maybe different verses would’ve been awesome but I’m okay with the result

So what's the current rumour/bets regards TG.......

. NZ release tonight at MIDNIGHT?    . No release and just shipping TOMORROW?                                             . Crappy cell phone recording by the time the 🏉 rugby world cup final plays on Sunday 8am NZT?

If it follows the HardSkool line then we’ll have it in 11+ hours. If not, then we’ll have to wait for the first vinyl deliveries (or start to worry)

    AI:

The intense dedication and enthusiasm displayed by some fans within the Guns N' Roses community can be seen as a testament to the band's enduring impact and the deep connection fans feel toward their music. The behaviors you mentioned, such as closely monitoring Spotify titles, playing guitar alongside clips, and checking for website updates, highlight the passionate engagement and anticipation surrounding the potential release of new material. This level of dedication underscores the lasting influence and cultural significance of Guns N' Roses, as their fanbase continues to actively follow and engage with the band's creative endeavors.

That sounds like something Axl could’ve written

Anything with that artwork should be disregarded and considered fake. It’s an AI generated painting. I wish this was all real but it’s just rumors and people playing pranks on us.

I’m not saying it’s real and a GNR thing but it looks too real to be AI generated.

AI illustrations tend to have lots of errors. That one looks pretty accurate

Let me pose to you the following question:

    So what?

Does any of this really matter, apart from us writing our little posts on forums like these no one gives a fuck about any of this, people just want a good song and we think we might get one here from knowing what we know. 40 year old Axl, 60 year old Axl, who cares what time of his life he recorded it, when it sounds good, leave it be.

Do we really need to go full CSI mode to figure all this shit out, can we take a step back and acknowledge the insane thing we are actually doing here: trying to find out when those sounds we hear were recorded into a microphone? Lmao it sounds stupid as hell when you spell it out like that.

It seems like people want to write a doctorate thesis on this shit at times, why can't we just accept that our band will put out a product that they believe in, and that's it? We will get to hear what the band intended for us to hear, if any of what was recorded was disliked it will be redone, and that's the way it should be, or not? I don't know why it's being discussed like it really matters in the end when what was done.

Yeah I wasn’t complaining or anything. I’d accept even Eye On You with slash on it
