As much as I'd love to see that, that's really Izzy's song. I can't imagine anyone else doing it. Plus, the song is supposed to celebrate Axl and Izzy's friendship, no?
If Izzy joined 'em on stage like he does from time to time and they played 14 Years with him, that would be freaking amazing, though.
I can completely understand where you're coming from, part of me agrees. However, I don't think songs should be kept away for a distant ex-member.
Seeing the latest incarnation but there own spin on old songs makes me wonder if they delved even deeper into the old-school arsenal and Fortus put his twist on 14 years. The guy can seriously play, with a noticeable style too, I'd like to see how it would turn out!
But if Izzy did come back to join Axl once again It's definitely the song I think they should perform together...,

While watching Izzy perfrorm "14 Years" with Axl back in '91 I thought to myself "Holy shit Imagine Fortus on this!". Axl himself mentioned about the "Izzy type groove" Fortus has (However accurate/inaccurate that may be).
Seeing Richard and Axl duet together would be insane! as you never see them get all that close on-stage when compared to Axl and Ashba....
So yeah, was just wondering.... what are your guys thoughts are about this?

About 3 or 4 months ago I started a small Youtube channel "SamMoranGuitar", since then I have been uploading videos of covers and renditions (James Bond theme......Guess my influence!).
