i found more too, they did a coca cola ad back in '69, i don't think it played here in the states, did it play there? Bon is so cute and young here i just love him so much!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jQk4EgcVFU

p.s. if you let it play after the coke jingle there are some more early Bon videos. there is one called Every Day I Have To Cry and it shows pics of Bon as a kid he is just so freaking cute! :)

Hahaha I've not seen that coke ad but I lived in Tasmania then & we only had 2 tv stations. One of them was the ABC which didn't have commercials. The voice at the end was American though which puzzles me, unless The Valentines made it big in the States I can't imagine why the 2 of them are mixed. Love his frilly shirt  Do you know these songs which is A and B side of one of my first singles I bought in the early 70s?

I don't mind at all! actually back in like '92 I heard a Krokus song on the radio, I wanted to know sang it so I called the station. it was late at night and the DJ and I got to talking and I said I really think this guy sounds like Bon Scott and the DJ agreed. then when I met my husband a few months later ( this was '92 ) he had a Krokus tape. we're both major Bon fans and he said thought Marc Storace sounded like Bon! listening to Storace sing BIB right now...not doing too bad IMO :)

Update: obviously I need to stop trying to multitask, I suck at it :P I did not find the Storace BIB, I was listening to his Highway To Hell. BUT fortuitously in the search for a Storace BIB I found this on an Aussie board and I could not believe it! it is soooooo cute :

    thoughts? :)

What a great find, strange to see 2 singers in a band without instruments. I don't know if Bon played anything, someone might know.

Both videos are not from Manchester. That stupid cunt is lying with show titles just to get more views or I don't know. And a lot of people fall for that

Sorry but I'm old & decrepit, what's the deal with getting more views? Do they get a prize for amount of views they upload or something?

  4. You can laugh at the comment as it's impossible to shear a cat and use the fur to knit with.

But hey they could braid his cats so when he arrives home after touring his cats will look like him in 2006.

  5. Axl's cat's fur would make a nice jumper. Lovely colour and looks soft.

Yes when he was asked about tenderness he seemed to make a face at the audience as they all broke into laughter. We'll have to wait for the video which should be more close up to see his expression.

  6. On a radio interview he did way back in time a caller rang and said I love you to Axl. He said "please don't love me, it costs me a lot of money when someone loves me" It must have been after he split with SS and went to court on domestic violence. He does seem to put himself down a bit, the Golden Gods where he said he paid N Cage to say nice things & there are more deserving people than him. Then yesterday again saying he didn't know why people would want to come to see him which he's said before. Inferiority complex? Hard to understand that when he's got so many females swooning over him. He would have made a great teacher with the command he has over people, telling them to calm down when all pushing him for photos and on stage when telling the crowd off. So hard watching him doing that Q & A & knowing he's the same person that did that dive into the audience in St Louis, I wonder if he landed on the floor cos he could have broken ribs unless he landed on people to soften that blow. :o

Axl loves animals! I know he has at least two cats, Dijon and Dexter. I heard he had a "zoo" w/wolves, parrots, dogs and more. one of the first tweets I ever saw of his was one about Jasper, a Tasmanian devil that had died in a zoo here in the states. i'm an animal lover so I love that Axl is also one :)

I think he has a cat called Whiskey too, during that video of him in the foyer of a hotel having photos taken & Beta was getting angry with him he mentioned it. I had a budgie called Whiskey so my ears picked this up.

What I don't understand is that being an animal lover he wears or used to wear fur. There's great video of him signing a guitar while walking to the bus again with the nude head  but he's wearing a big fur coat. I can only think it might be fake fur but with the amount of money he has I do wonder. Might be something to ask him while smelling his butt @MillionsOfSpiders or maybe after in case you can't hear the answer. :P.

I wonder if he smells heavily of aftershave like some men are overpowering but as nobody has said anything I guess he doesn't smell like anything. Beta hasn't been seen much at all lately, wonder if she's doing the babysitting while the others work. Do you think Sasha has feelings for Axl or she's just a friend? Maybe marriage or having children isn't on her bucket list, I don't know how models think.

  8. You know what I'd like to know which is going to sound very dumb, I'd like to know if he has a fear or phobia about anything. I had to laugh at Del James posting that he spent a few minutes beating his shoulder up when he mistook a bit of fluff for a bug & tried to get rid of it. If you're saying Axl had a tarantula then I guess he doesn't have a fear of spiders but is there anything he is frightened of. Big spiders we get here in Australia I have a phobia of especially when they're in the car. :o

  9. Oh definitely from the point of view of being a fan of Axl. I don't get the hate though but I'm biased. If Axl couldn't sing at a concert I had tickets for I'd be shattered as he's the reason I'd want to go. I  wouldn't pour such slurs over the replacement singer and maybe resell my ticket.

If I was just a fan of the band and not have the feelings for the singer it wouldn't matter. I don't know if Brian has the charisma and appeal to women that Axl has though. He seems to be someone you really like or really can't stand but it's great to read comments from people who doubted he'd pull it off and have praised him for not only his performance but for being respectful and making sure he steps back to give the limelight to ACDC members.

AC/DC are a notoriously private group and they're not big on sentimentality. Not with Bon, not with Mal - a small gesture in tribute, but that's it - http://ultimateclassicrock.com/acdc-malcolm-young-tribute/.

I agree that their press release was curt (and did seem hasty), but they had dates to fulfil imminently and very little time to make decisions - rescheduling a tour of that scale with a new singer is no cakewalk. They needed to make the announcement to reassure their stakeholders as much as their fans that the band was going to continue.

As for Brian - he was unable to continue. There was no "maybe" about it bro... in his words:

Since that day, I have had several consultations with my doctors and it appears that, for the near future, I will be unable to perform on stage at arena and stadium size venues where the sound levels are beyond my current tolerance, without the risk of substantial hearing loss and possibly total deafness.  Until that time, I tried as best as I could to continue despite the pain and hearing loss but it all became too much to bear and too much to risk.

I am sure Brian is both uncomfortable and very upset about being replaced (there is no-one on this planet that wouldn't be), but I have very little doubt he will return to being their frontman if he is ever physically able in the future. As much as it's all probably paining him, I'm sure he understands the magnitude of what was at stake and the reasoning for the decision. Nevertheless I'm sure it's going to take a while to get over it.

There might be, but I feel like the "rumours" are based on two things:

    - the curt nature of AC/DC's press release (which I tried my best to explain above)
    - Jim Breuer and his "kicked to the curb" comment

Breuer went out and made those comments about Brian being "kicked to the curb", then backpedalled on them later. He did clarify that Brian was upset (of course he is), and I'm sure things are awkward between him and Angus... but I don't think it's fair to stretch that to a "rift".

Yes I see what you mean after reading your post. It does make sense and your remark of (which I tried my best to explain above) I have to say you did more than your best. I wonder how long it was between Brian telling the band he couldn't go on any longer & them having to decide what to do. An awful situation to be stuck in, many said a singer from a tribute band would have been accepted better than Axl. Would you agree with me thinking that singing in a tribute band is great but to be fronting such a famous band you'd need to know a lot more about the inner workings of the group, management etc? Axl has had that experience whereas an unknown might find they're thrown in the deep end & also would have to not allow negativity affect him.

This was just the audio recording from someone in the room, don't worry the official video will probably be uploaded next week ;)

Oh really? This isn't the official recording......... oh dear. I've blasted everyone cause I'm so upset & let my head rule my mouth (or fingers in this case).

Thanks for answering, now my name will be mud all over the internet.

I tend to get hot headed when angry which isn't very often at all.

  12. Had an argument with an ACDC fan on their fb page when they said how happy they are now that the new hearing thing Brian is trialling is working and he's coming back to the band. I tried to explain he's only trialled it in infant stages in a Drs room or maybe at home but not on stage with huge amplifiers that are very loud. She went off at me that his Dr said he can hear again so I asked her if she had spoken to his Dr & what did he say???

When rumours start there's usually a reason why they start, this time possibly a fallout between Brian and Angus. Who knows but them, however many rumours do come from a source and knowing the reputation the Young family had in Australia in the early days of being difficult to work for it wouldn't surprise me if there's tension between the two men. I hope not, but could any of you work with with a co mate for 37 years? Not 9 till 5 but practically living in each other's pockets night and day?

Time will tell and I hope all is ok between them whatever the outcome. It's hard for Brian to say anything at this point without journos turning it into a huge deal and Brian trying to be positive with the whole situation.

  13. The last thing I'd waste a question on is new music. How many times have people asked over how many years and had a reply. Would be the most annoying question to be asked.

How did people go to this I wonder. Was it like a press conference that you are sent to from work and how great does he look compared to the Eddie Trunk night. He's going nude again - minus hat and sunnies which gives me a glimpse of the young Axl. I'll bet he never thought he'd be called sweet/polite/endearing or funny by people.

Trivia : how many pairs of Touch Me Feel Me tshirts do you guys think Axl owns?

Seems like he's very fond of this shirt on this tour.

I wondered that, he seems to get a liking for a t shirt and wears it on and off stage all the time. The girl in the rubbish can was one, Elvis was one. They either have a very fast laundry service or he's got several of the same. I'm not keen on the shirt around the waist either, he's always wearing too much. Japan concert 2009 he was perfect, a touch weighty but that comes with age. If he takes off the hats and sunnies he puts on extra around his waist.

Gosh, you ladies are talkative.

I haven't read any of the biographies. Your comments make me want to read Duff's though. I really respect that he didn't use a ghostwriter. He's done so well in his life. Overcame addiction, went to university, started his own business, seems to have a happy family, wrote books... really amazing. And he seems like such a nice guy in general.

I agree that an Axl biography would be amazing. I have the feeling that it would be the length of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, though, and would probably take as much time to complete. I reckon that the man has a lot to say. And it would be very interesting. I like it when he expresses himself about subjects that he is passionate about. Would love it if he did more of that.

Being a fast typist I'll send him my resume for the job of transcribing his tapes. That was my job in my previous life, to listen to his voice & type what he's saying would be a dream job. I'd do it just for lifelong friendship & staying at his home.

Note to self:  prepare resume. :P

Is Kat Benzova on tour with Axl/DC? If she is, maybe someone can send her a request on her Twitter or Instagram for pictures of the Big 3 to be shared on GNR official social media.

Yes she is on twitter & Instagram. Doubt she'll do the big 3 unless they ask her to though, she works for them not the other way around. There are photos of Axl and Slash laughing together looking very relaxed with each other.

Oh you lucky London bastards, I'm so excited for you. Whatever is going to happen today it will be great :headbang:

Yeah unless Axl falls on stage and breaks his other foot!!!

It's  just a little bit more exciting in AC/DC as he's singing different songs. I hope when they do their own tour it won't be spoiled by the same songs they've done for years. Can those in the front start practicing the chant of Sailing now.

Is it 6 1/2 hrs to go.

No worries - we'll let you off this time!   Gates open at 17.00, support band 19.00, Axl/DC 20.15, finishes at 10.30 - it's like a military operation!

A thousand apologies  my frustration, jealousy & wishing I was there is distorting my brain. Of course it's 11hrs as it will be 5.30am here & it's not worth getting up to watch only to find no periscopes are available. Has anyone heard of them coming to Australia? I guess seeing as they were here end of last year they're not going to come back just because Axl is in the band.

Have a ball everyone who's going, enjoy meeting up with each other. Maybe GNR will do Australia again & when they finish ACDC will come back with Axl.
