I've now found out they'll be staying in the Connaught in Mayfair for London... You best believe I'll be there after the show

Had a look at the most exquisite suites and there's one called The Apartment. I wonder if that's the type of room Axl would stay considering he doesn't leave the hotel apart from going to the concert.

JAILBREAK !! ...    .... that!  would be coooool! ... but probably not gonna happen ... :)

Exactly what I've been wondering why they haven't done Jailbreak yet.

Did AC/DC do Love Song live or Can I Sit Next To You Girl.

  3. Bingo Lumikki

This brings me to tears listening to him talking about Dylan & without listening to it again I'm posting this video, I don't know if it includes the part where he talks about the battles with a woman "who set out to destroy me for whatever the fuck, I don't know". He was in such a sad place when this was made as I think SS was supposed to be part of it.  :(

Also regarding Yoda & the stuff he went through in 1998 about having to approve people by looking at photos etc, I was told it was Beta that got him into that. It saddens me if this is true as I like TB and they've certainly turned his life around but that stuff was just crazy. I wonder who the person was that came to spend time with him on Christmas Day when he was living in a shed or similar in a bad way. Would that have been Beta? Also has he confirmed he was actually sexually abused by his stepfather or is it assumed by what he says. My understanding is they all may have been but Axl and Amy are the only ones mentioned in interviews. I find it hard to believe that his bio father who took him when he was 2 also sexually abused him, you'd have to be pretty unlucky to have 2 fathers doing that to you & it was only through the regressive therapy that he said his bio father abused him. Then I look at the family photos of his parents, him & siblings & his Grandmother & wonder why you would be at a family gathering if you were treated the way he was by his step father with the bashings & sexual abuse. Wouldn't you not want to have anything to do with a step father like that? I find it all confusing & him saying he remembers being in the womb & knowing he wasn't wanted is a bit too much for me to believe. Sounds more it was ingrained into his mind during the therapy sessions, John Lennon did the same regressive therapy by Yoko's request & look how hated she was for making him do that. The one thing that stands out is what a beautiful looking man (even you guys say this) with such a talent but such a disturbed mind, even now he doesn't seem to have a steady girlfriend or partner or wife. If he had someone he was in love with it would be all over the internet like his 'date' with Lana Del Ray.

My bad, I corrected my post ;).

During the 80s the uniform morphed to a velvet-like suit jacket with shorts. Up untill the last decade, he would strip down to underpants with the flag of your country on them, not sure when he started doing that but I'm glad he stopped doing it for the last tours.

OMG yes that would be a turnoff.

I feel like I don't know anything about them but called myself a fan. Then again I liked GNR & their hits but couldn't have told you what their names were or songs that weren't hits. I thought Patience was a new song in 2011 which sparked my interest & started you tubing them & now I'm obsessed.

Slade said he could do it ten more years. Eighty might be too old for acdc, same with cliff (66). We'll see, we'll probably see the return of Phil Rudd at some point.

Don't hold your breath, he's been in jail then on home detention which he breached on threats to kill & drug charges.

Affidavits to the court said Rudd would lose tens of millions of dollars if he was convicted because he couldn't tour to certain countries with AC/DC.

Judge Ingram said there was no evidence he had an offer from the band and he was not convinced that Rudd's drumming was integral to the AC/DC sound. OUCH!!

Rudd told an Australian TV station in May his former bandmates, including guitarist Angus Young, weren't talking to him.

"They haven't called me. I wrote them a letter and I tried to get in touch with Angus but I've had no contact from anybody," Rudd told A Current Affair. "I'm very disappointed, but that's life."

Sorry about the links but they keep popping up & I can't get rid of them.

same here! I tried after Bon died, I listened to Back In Black but mainly cos it was a tribute to Bon. but after that I just...couldn't. just was not the same and I was never a Brian Johnson fan. now Axl has brought back all my memories of Bon and I am spending a LOT f time watching clips of him online and loving it! my current rock love and my first rock love, i'm a happy camper

Great minds think alike. I had a son who went to respite care & the woman put ACDC on to play in the car & my son was singing in the back TNT OI OI & she wondered where on earth he learned that. He was only about 8 or 9 but loved Long Way To The Top as well. I reckon had he lived he & I would have been going to lots of rock n roll concerts over the years. I've only known the 'hits' they had with Brian like Thunderstruck, You Shook Me etc but now I'm listening to Axl I'm going back to ACDC & watching them perform or read the lyrics as the song plays. Like you I love Axl in the band he also grew up with, we're the same age & he liked Aussie music like Rose Tattoo, The Angels etc.

Like you I'm a happy camper, the question is does he front both bands or is it possible Brian can be helped & come back? I'm probably wrong here but Axl seems happier in ACDC than GNR, maybe it's because he's not the boss & has to conform to their needs & not having the responsibility behind the scenes relaxes him. This no hat no sunnies has got to continue, we need Mrs Young to tour with GNR as his dresser.

Fair enough, but she wrote "and the school uniform" so that's the part that confused me. ;)

Well thanks for clearing up I'm a she, not a he.

Angus wore his old school uniform with a satchel as you see in the above photos, I read that he carried a photo of his Mum in the satchel but The Archer might be able to fill that in for me. Digging back into the 70s here but seem to recall it was stolen or went missing at some stage & that's what upset him the most that the photo of his Mum had been taken.

Now he wears bright coloured shorts & tops which look like a school uniform but it's definitely not the" official" school uniform as in the photos above.

Go soft on me here, I'm trying to remember 40yrs ago :o and so pissed I didn't go to see them when they played at my school hall in 1975.

The Archer I gather you have been an ACDC fan for a long time by having Bon as your profile pic. Are you Australian & grew up loving them like me or maybe you're younger & just like the early years? I don't even know besides Angus who else has been in the band from virtually the beginning, then I see that Chris Slade has been there 30yrs!!!! I stopped following them when Bon died so I'm learning from 1980 onwards by Axl being with them. I knew Malcolm, Phil, Bon & Angus. The old memory is fading. <_<

And this is official video for the song..

I've just realised that Angus doesn't seem to have the satchel any more. When did that and the school uniform go. Oh the memories of AC/DC with Bon watching this.

I don't think he'll be able to stand up for too long. He was quick to get back in the chair after half a song. And when he went backstage during Angus's solo on Monday, he used his scooter. So I don't think he feels comfortable walking on it for too long.

What a most inconvenient time to break his foot. I'm surprised he was able to continue the show as I know when twisting your ankle you feel hot and clammy. Feel faint and sick and go into shock. Yet he continued and it happened 3 songs into the show.

  10. I read it in a Bon Scott biography back in the 80s & must say I was shocked. As The Archer said though it hasn't been substantiated & now we'll never know as Bon died. Unnecessarily but the level of alcohol he drank plus being left in a freezing cold car all night caused his death. Had he gone inside he would have been ok. Very sad.

    Douchebag

In the official photo the Youngs look old and Axl looks 'young'.

I thought there was an agreement that once a band member could no longer play then the whole band would discontinue, they've not followed that & for good reason. If that's true it was when they were young & nothing could harm them as we all think in our early 20s. It's when you get older & your body starts to let you down that you realise how naive you once were.

From what I read I think the whole thing has been very badly handled, there should have been an interview done with Brian explaining his problems & that he needed to take a break indefinitely to see if something could be done. By not speaking out we hear stories of him being kicked out, goods dropped at the door etc & naturally the hardcore fans are outraged at this treatment. A biography on Bon Scott I read indicated that the Youngs were planning to get rid of Bon for some reason which would not have been popular.

Angus said he hasn't heard anything about Phil and that he's been quiet, well I saw on the news Phil saying how disappointed he was that Angus hadn't contacted him for years. Why he'd want to now I don't know, he's not going to be someone you'd want in the band again after all the troubles in New Zealand.

I've not followed the band since Bon died, I was so upset & never gave Brian a chance but I do know the songs that became hits & that's all.

As for Axl I think he's showing great respect for Brian, as much as he can from his position. He's made it clear he's a fill in & not a replacement. I think Axl has handled the situation much better than Angus & I know he's going to bring the house down on that tour.

Lastly I do feel so much for Brian and his medical problems, he recently did a car rally or similar to fundraise for something I am very passionate about and I wish there was a way to contact him to thank him. For everybody who's going have a blast, this would be fantastic if it turned into a world tour but the timing with the reunion really sucks. If only it had happened during the quiet year when we didn't know where he was.

The Archer, your profile photo is Bon so I gather you were a fan of his too.

IMO, he still avoided the question about whether they told Brian that they were replacing him with Axl. Or, he didn't directly touch that.

He's making it sound a friendly parting with Brian but I read they just dumped his stuff at his doorstep literally. Knowing the Young brothers this wouldn't surprise me, but it does disappoint me. They are not the easiest of people to get along with.
