  1. Came across this on youtube, and it's already been mentioned in the comments there.

But from 3:50 on through the rest of this Jungle is definitely the best he's sounded in quite a while, the scream at 4:11 into the hook is ruthless

The reason I made a seperate thread for this in particular though, is the question begs to be asked? Why isn't Axl CONSISTENT with this voice? It's definitely there..I feel like vocal strengthening and training could do wonders.

    that was awesomeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ppl ,give Axl a break, during Bridge School he was sick, period.

  2. IF this setlist is indeed legit would this mean that OMG and Locomotive have a good chance of being played? I mean there would be no reason to sync up pyro during those tunes if they weren't going to play them

But regardless I have my doubts of this being legit anyway so that would explain it as well

The fact that they have pyro cues mean nothing. My copy of the setlist from Hamilton 2011 shows pyro cues for OMG, and we all know it was never played last year.

Isn't that the alleged setlist for Rio 2011? The same fake one, that's been circulating the boards for the last two years? :D

No, not the Rio setlist. The same font, style, etc. - but not the Rio setlist. And the Rio setlist wasn't fake, it was posted by the festival's official Twitter account.

Looking foward to hear Goin` Down and Liquid Dreams rock3

  3. So Axl planed new music. Good

but "Supermodel girlfriend Stephanie Seymour and original Guns guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan "did more damage to my ability as a writer."

this is the same "i'm insane, others are evil crap, that we hear so many years...

Do you think the lyrics or the melodies on CD are crap?

  4. Holy shit some people like to talk out of their asses

LOL, this. It make some laugh sometimes. Libertad is what sabotaged VR, heh.

No, actually Scott's drug habit and erratic behavior sabotaged VR according to Duff, Matt and Slash.......that is not to say they would have stayed together in any case as Scott had a different musical vision then the rest of the band...IMHO Contraband was lightening in a bottle just as AFD was ..........

And Scott's side of the story? Contraband was a very good record, but not as good as AFD or CD. Libertad.... was a piece of shit.

  5. "In October of 2005 Slash made an unannounced 5:30 AM visit to Axl Rose’s house. Not appearing to be under the influence, Slash came to inform Axl that: "Duff was spineless," "Scott was a fraud," that he "hates Matt Sorum" and that in this ongoing war, contest or whatever anyone wants to call it that Slash has waged against Axl for the better part of 20 years, that Axl has proven himself "the stronger." Based on his conduct in showing up at Rose’s home, Axl was hopeful that Slash would live up to his pronouncements that he wanted to end the war and move on with life. Unfortunately that did not prove to be the case."

Has Slash ever denied any of this? Slash has said that he fell off the wagon during the last few years. If Slash was doped-up on Oxys and whiskey, would he even remember? The press release says that Slash was sober, but who knows? Maybe he fooled Beta/Axl in thinking that he was clean.

Yes, he lied at first, denied the whole thing. Later on, we would admitted that he drove to Axl's house, only to find that he wasn't at home. So he made all those statements to Beta.

Then Axl, in a cheap attempt to break VR, made public what was said by Slash (if he really said that).

..but according to MSL it's not an attack.

That's not correct, that quote was used in a lawsuit, went public cos the details where open to public access

So "sooner" is the word? :D

    :rofl-lol:

  7. Assuming that the problem for which we do not hear new music is for lack of money. The record companies do not invest in rock music anymore because they believe it`s not a safe bet.

If this is the case, I think I have the solution.

For some time I have been following this website called http://www.kickstarter.com :

"Kickstarter is the world's largest Funding platform for creative projects. Every week, tens of Thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields."

A notable example is the following article from Forbes magazine:

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2012/03/14/how-double-fine-raised-3-3-million-on-kickstarter-and-changed-game-financing-forever/

From this project, which it raised over 3.3 million on an audience totally outside the mainstream gamers, other projects are raising millions based on the same philosophy.

The plan is that we found the project, the new music, the distribution if necessary based on his system.

Kickstarter never run into a giant like Guns N Roses, all projects are underground/indie projects. I think we can raise millions in a blink of an eye and incidentally make a before and after in the music industry. Money talks..

Can you imagine how much money we can get for the Project? How many of us we would be willing to pay a lot for new music and extras?

I hope someone on the GNR Camp are considering such moves if money is the problem.

What are your thoughts about this?

    Stupid idea.

    1. There is no demand for CDII outside of this forum.

    2. Axl has enough money.

    3. Axl is way too stubborn and too much of a perfectionist to release a product he's not completely satisfied with (aka which he hasn't ruined with horrible overproduction).

    4. If CD is anything to go by, I have NO intention to horribly overpay for CD II. Not worth the money. In fact when they release it I might even wait a month or two until it's in the sale bin for 2,50. Just to compensate.

    5. And I can't stress this enough: There is no demand for CDII outside of this forum.

You must be working with a census and statistics organization, thanks for the info.

I get it, there's no demand for cd2, but plenty for the new Amanda Palmer record?

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/amandapalmer/amanda-palmer-the-new-record-art-book-and-tour?ref=card

there's plenty of demand for the new aerosmith record "music from another dimension" coming november 6th, 2012 at a local record store near you

so there should be the same demand for a 2012 release of cd2 from guns n roses

    +1
