  1. Assuming that the problem for which we do not hear new music is for lack of money. The record companies do not invest in rock music anymore because they believe it`s not a safe bet.

If this is the case, I think I have the solution.

For some time I have been following this website called http://www.kickstarter.com :

"Kickstarter is the world's largest Funding platform for creative projects. Every week, tens of Thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields."

A notable example is the following article from Forbes magazine:

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2012/03/14/how-double-fine-raised-3-3-million-on-kickstarter-and-changed-game-financing-forever/

From this project, which it raised over 3.3 million on an audience totally outside the mainstream gamers, other projects are raising millions based on the same philosophy.

The plan is that we found the project, the new music, the distribution if necessary based on his system.

Kickstarter never run into a giant like Guns N Roses, all projects are underground/indie projects. I think we can raise millions in a blink of an eye and incidentally make a before and after in the music industry. Money talks..

Can you imagine how much money we can get for the Project? How many of us we would be willing to pay a lot for new music and extras?

I hope someone on the GNR Camp are considering such moves if money is the problem.

What are your thoughts about this?

    Stupid idea.

    1. There is no demand for CDII outside of this forum.

    2. Axl has enough money.

    3. Axl is way too stubborn and too much of a perfectionist to release a product he's not completely satisfied with (aka which he hasn't ruined with horrible overproduction).

    4. If CD is anything to go by, I have NO intention to horribly overpay for CD II. Not worth the money. In fact when they release it I might even wait a month or two until it's in the sale bin for 2,50. Just to compensate.

    5. And I can't stress this enough: There is no demand for CDII outside of this forum.

You must be working with a census and statistics organization, thanks for the info.

I get it, there's no demand for cd2, but plenty for the new Amanda Palmer record?

  2. When the South American tour was announced, many of the South Americans here were very excited. When the North American tour was announced, many of the North Americans here were very excited. When the European tour was announced, many of the Europeans here were very excited. When the Up Close and Personal tour was announced, many fans from around the world were very excited, although few were able to attend. When the Vegas residency was announced, many fans from around the world were very excited, with even more able to attend.

But, there is a segment of the community here that does not like GNR anymore. Rather than leave in peace, they are here to complain, they are here to ruin the good time of the fans that still enjoy the band. It's a very selfish and destructive segment of the community.

So to generalize and act like the "forum fans" aren't excited or haven't been excited in quite some time, that's not accurate.

And since the vast majority of Randy's topics are cleverly designed to paint the band in a negative light, I can't help but wonder what is missing in his life that he can't find something he LIKES to be passionate about, rather than devoting so much passion to something he DOESN'T like.

  3. When the beginning of nuGuns in 98-99 was going on, had you been talking to Axl, and did he seem happier once they were creating songs in the studio? Just wondered if there was a point when Axl seemed happier about how things were going for him.

He did seem happy working with Robin around 1998

Marc, what do you know about the re-recording of AFD with the 1998 lineup?

And what happend with Brian May's collaboration on Chinese Democracy and other non-released material?

  4. Poor little guy.

How bout instead of the thoughtless little one-liners, you actually dispute what I say? Bet ya can't.

C'mon. I'm looking forward to hearing your logic and to see your intellect at work.

I feel sorry for you man... it`s just not funny, seems like you need help. Do you want some help?

  5. lol you are such a dead beat loser

Instead of your childish name-calling, how about telling me where I am wrong?

    Bet ya can't.

it's wrong of you to waste your life obsessing so much, that's where you're wrong sunny jim.

Oh. So, you openly admit that I'm not wrong in anything that I said. That's what I thought. Thanks for your honesty.

    Poor little guy.

  6. well done Team Brazil. Where are the fukin haters now??

Give them time.... They will say something like "I can't believe Axl is selling out by doing this interview"... Wait for it lol

No. What's going to happen is, the interview is going to go by, Axl won't talk about a new album or play a new song, and that's when people will lose their shit

Na, wait till BBA end his masturbation ritual to post some negative shit.

  7. That being said, he did say it's looking good for India (!!), he did update on his health, he did talk about a few of the recent shows, he did talk about his solo spot, he did talk about his approach to composing guitar solos, he did talk about how it's like to play on stage, he talked about what he would like to see for the Vegas residency, and that he hasn't been informed on any GN'R plans fr 2013, and lots of other things. And some jokes, anecdotes and other things. Basically what you could expect from Bumblefoot and a lot more. It was nice and a great opportunity for the fans who were there to chat with the lead guitarist in Guns N' Roses.

Oh. So, it's only going to cost me fifty bucks for BBF to tell me some jokes, inform me that Axl hasn't decided whether he's going to do shit in 2013, and about some solo work that I couldn't care less about.

Wow. How about I just hand you fifty bucks and let you kick me in the balls instead? Imo, both would be equally as appealing.

    :jerkoff:

  8. Finally got to the Parent Directory link and watched.

    Not gonna lie, pretty underwhelmed.

It was cool as shit...but I feel like there's definitely a reasonable number of fans that could have done something much better if say, they had access to the same type of exclusive, high quality footage, ya know?

    My 2 cents.

You're right, but the video obviously isn't finished.

you mean someone could do a better job...

    Yeah they can! and did.

    (Better fanmade music video)

This is a better video fanmade by A guy named Slasher, He's on the boards somewhere 2 so if you read this... didn't you get any calls or something... you can do a way better job then most directors in the bizz right now! Kudo's!

You r right, he is done a great job, especially in scraped!

  9. If we had no information regarding none of the leaks, I would call fake on Better Gone and real on Blood In The Water.

I mean, Better Gone could be faked via Rock Band multi-tracks, but Brain confirmed it is real, and you guys should see MSL emails going batshit when he found out I had it before it leaked.

As for Blood In The Water, honestly, how could vocals be faked? Same goes for Axl's psycho crazy laugh on Better Gone.

    What MSL mails??

  10. this mantra is probably repeated everyday by team brasil to make axl believe he is indeed doing a good job and that his fans are happy.

It might help if the band actually did something positive to keep the fans happy.

Predictable performances with a crippled guitarist and Mickey Mouse aren't helping things.

There will always be the crazies who try to spin the band's mistakes into positives, but that's why they're crazy. True fans tell the band that it's fucking up because they care.

    Team Brazil doesn't care.

    another true fan.

  11. this mantra is probably repeated everyday by team brasil to make axl believe he is indeed doing a good job and that his fans are happy.

you must be a true fan right?

  12. For the best part of a decade Slash kept Axls name in the media because he answered questions about him all the time. I don't see why he should continue doing that. If Axl wants to fade into obscurity and only get a mention as the punchline in a joke then so be it. I don't see why Slash should waste any more energy discussing him.

Yes, Slash should use the energy to release great records as "Slash" and "Apocalyptic Love" :rofl-lol:
