Those who attend concerts are being ripped off. They pay to see and hear Guns N' Roses music and they get a setlist of mostly songs played by a group of guys who didn't even write them and who sound nothing like the songs should sound. Personally I wouldn't pay to go see Axl's so-called "Guns N' Roses" concert.

This album is gonna be a big disappointment. What I don't understand is how could Axl drop making songs like You Could Be Mine, Sweet Child O' Mine, Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City, It's So Easy, Coma, Locomotive and all that, to pave way for songs like IRS or Better. We all know the world would have loved to see another few albums with songs like on AFD and UYI.

Nobody has come up to Axl personally and said to him "Axl you are a disappointment to your fans, you haven't released any of your own material in over 15 years, you are stopping your band from being themselves"

Oh I don't hate the new band at all. I think what they are doing is great. But it is Axl is really bringing them down wiht all his shit. These guys can't even play their own material because he won't allow it, they probably want to altogether create their own band name but they can't because he is too psychotically glued to the name Guns N' Roses, what this band does of their own things is great, but Axl is letting very little of it be shown, which is really sad because he has reinvented history in the sense that he is stopping another great band from being themselves. Note: I 'm not bitching or anything...just putting in a dose of the obvious this board needs once in a while. I couldn't give a fuck anymore about Guns N' Roses unless they reunite and come back to existence again.

Is there really any point to this whole camp? I mean Axl has done very little good to the music world in the past decade or more. All he is doing is playing from arena to arena songs that are 15-20years old with a bunch of guys who didn't even write them nor sound anything liek the songs do on the records. His album is not even known when it will be released and his attempt to 'reinvent Guns N' Roses' as expected are proving a total joke, for he knows he cannot reinvent Guns N' Roses. He tried to own Guns N' Roses in 1996 and it all split right before his eyes and to this date he still can't admit it. All he is left is with ownership of hte band name which without the guys who validated it and shed prime light into it already in 1992 is now worthless. The whole thing is a joke to be going to a show just to end up hearing the songs you expect to hear, played nothing close to what they 're meant to be played like. And in the end Axl knows he can't do very much by himself, and he knows deep inside he wants Guns N' Roses back, even more so than this side project of his. The guy should just get some balls and swallow his pride and phone Slash, Izzy, Duff, Matt and hopefully even Gilby and bring back Guns N' Roses and stop with this bullshit he is giving us today. We know 99.9% of the Guns N' Roses fans want this...they want Guns N' Roses more than this thing that Axl is giving us today or better said what he is not giving us.

Who even cares about Chinese Democracy anymore nowadays? I mean this whole thing is a fucking waste of time. Axl should just release the damn thing as his own side project and tour it under his own name, then after that call up Slash, Izzy, Duff, Matt and Gilby and bring back Gn'R. All this shit has become really stale, all he is doing is touring from arena to arena playing songs wich a bunch of guys who didn't even write them and he 's showing very little of his own work. It's kind of lame.

Sad to say you 're 100% right he doesn't care about his fans This is why I don't like Axl anymore. I 'm not really interested anyways much into his Chinese Democracy album nor into his band. All I have interest in is if he calls up Slash, Duff, Matt and Izzy...maybe even Gilby so he can have 3 guitarists and brings abck Guns N' Roses...then that will be something.

I 'll bet you people anything we will get at least one high quality/proshot show off the US tour. I don't think Axl is going to be as dumb as in the old days to do tours and release nothing from them, we 've already seen how angry people are over the lack of decent stuff from UYI tour so I do believe when the US tour finishes he will sit back and say "Hmm okay which is the best show to release from this tour?" and will pick the best performed show and release it. ....Unless he is an idiot and stingy enough not to give us some good live material.

EDIT: He will probably release a show unofficially over the net like Rock Am Ring...you know, just for the fans to freely watch or listen to.

Makes sense to me. US tour finishes January 16th. Take a break for a month or more, do an asian Tour in March, and another European tour in April...as we remember there was some date in Spain or something in 04/07/07. And after January 16th onwards to the first Asian show in March, who knows maybe CD will be out.

So in essence, even though people hate to come to terms with this, it is a tour in support of Appetite for Destruction. If thats what Axl wants, fine. But promote the tour as that and people wouldn't have a certain set of expectations.

Well If that is what he wants to do then I see more logic in him phoning Slash, Duff, Izzy and Matt. It makes more sense than this. Why play a show with 13songs or so with a bunch of guys who didn't even write them and who don't even sound anything close to the original version of it? That is called a cover.

Izzy is right about his statement on Axl using the name Gn'R. If Axl releases Chinese Democracy under the name Gn'R...no matter how good it is, no matter how much ass it kicks...he is going to get a more than fatal backlash to his career. What do you think people will do when they go to stores and buy the album and listen to the songs and find they sound nothing like Gn'R, and then further look in the booklet that there are no other Gn'R members on that album but Axl??? Like Izzy said it they will say to Axl "Fuck you wanker this is NOT Guns N' Roses". If half this internet forum (this forum are the strongest of Axl's fans) don't accept this current band as Guns N' Roses, what on earth makes anyone think those people out there will? It's sad but true

Why must anyone who is a fan of the original lineup be considered "stuck in the past" or a "mullethead." I'm also a fan of The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. What does that make me since they made "crap" in the 70's. GNR made their best "crap" in the 80's. Unless you consider the as yet to be heard "Chinese Democracy" their magnum opus? What is really sad is that certain members on this forum insist that GNR did not exist prior to 1999. As ludicrous as this sounds, GNR is GUNS N' ROSES because of the "mulletheads" that wrote and recorded those classic songs back in the 80's. The songs that I might add are still played every night. I've been on this forum for a long time and am not usually one to attack, but this "If you like the old lineup you must be stuck in the 80's" crap is getting old. If you asked most GNR fans, and music fans in general, who they want to see playing next to Axl on stage I can guarantee you that their answer will not be Robin Finck (I would here like to state that I mean no disrespect to Finck. He is a fine guitarist in his own right). I have no idea how someone can call themselves a GNR fan and have no respect for the original lineup.

Can anyone imagine how unlimited the material writing abilities would be if Gn'R reunited as Axl, Slash, Izzy, Gilby, Duff, Matt and Dizzy?

You'd have Axl and Slash making more monsters such as Locomotive & Coma, Axl & Izzy pumping out more pacy tunes like You Could Be Mine, Izzy and Gilby could together work on their country/redneck stuff, Duff and Slash could pump out a few more Get In The Ring style rockers, Matt could just play the fuck out of the drumset and bring maybe another one of those complex drumming styles like in his summer '92 performances of DTJ or YCBM. Dizzy could be (and always was) Axl's right hand man at producing those great ballads like Estranged and Breakdown.

We can all feel that Axl's trip is coming to and end and his only chance is to reunite Gn'R.
