  1. Yeah exactly. Maybe some Europeans just don't like it because once again America got it right..?

On a side note, the vip packages look appealing.

No. You don't. At least in Europe everyone gets a shot at front row and doesn't have to pay hundreds of dollars to scalpers because you couldn't get the front row ticket. You stand in line for an hour or two, run a bit and are in front. Also you can move to the left or right to see something and don't risk having to stand behind a 6 ft 5 guy blocking your view. There is nothing good about seated floor unless you're lucky enough to get that front row ticket, which still costs you several times as much as the usual standing, unless it's in Vegas, of course. Looking forward to Europe. Front row for 90 $.

Even cheaper. In 2006 I paid 50 euro fan pit ticket, in 2010 around 40 (I could touch the fence) and in 2012, 30 euro festival ticket.

Well, you are from Serbia (?) and we have cheaper tickets here than anywhere else

Јер тако смо у могућности. :shades:

Countries in our region have similar ticket prices, but we might have cheapest, not sure.

    Tako je!
Vuhuuuu, ima nas dosta znaci! Paracin ovde :D

Ima, nego sta! Pozdrav za Paracin! :D

    I'm sorry.

I'm from Paracin too but I don't live there last 7 years :P

  2. Have you guys seen new Muse stage show? Those balls are not attached to anything, they are drones and look at that massive construction and just look at that stage. That must be really expensive to ship and construct for every show. Why am I saying this? Because tickets for them are in range of 40-100$ (usually under 100) gnr can make profit with tickets half the price of what are they offering now. I'm sure

You have the cheapest, Romania is the second, Hungary is the third

Bulgaria was cheap as fuck until they got into EU :(

  4. Haven't seen that in ages

Mike Patton made some amazing songs but he is generally an asshole

I just checked those new Wolfmother songs. I love it, way better than New Crown at that solo album by Andrew

  6. Only 10% over 25 seems low?

GNR fans could very well be Star Wars fans and saw Patsy Kensits nip in Lethal Weapon 2. I digress.

But maybe the Star Wars part might be merch relevant. I'll but an Axl Vader figure no problem.

The more people pay for tickets or VIP packages means the more people want it and the more successful and important it is.

Only 10% in Europe. I forgot to mention that

  7. One thing I really noticed from reading this forum much more past couple of weeks is that gnr is looked at as classic rock band and dad rock in USA. When I saw them 2 times in 2010 and 2012 there was like 10% of people older than 25

That's what happens when a band is from roughly 1986-87, Almost 30 years ago... A big chunk of the fans were 15-30 probably around that time. So... 45-60 year olds...

Yeah, that's reasonable. I just wanted to say who it seems that they never gained new fans in USA. In Europe it seems like they did even by almost not doing anything new

  8. There is a video on their YT channel of them rehearsing and you could see the beginning and the end of the setlist. There were also timings of that and it says something like 1:32:30 at the end. I don't think that they did 90 minutes with 13 songs, maybe they used it as a warm up or they just soloed and jammed the shit out of everything?

  9. I'm fucking happy that Axl has abandoned his fake GnR solo thing and reunited with Slash. Chances of getting more music increased a lot thanks to it.

Chances of getting new music is down to Izzy. Slash is not a prolific songwriter and the band can't rely on Duff for everything.

Slash is not a prolific songwriter? The guy that has 3 solo, 2 VR and 2 SS out since he left GNR is not prolific?

  10. My sources (my bosses, main organisatiors) at exit festival in Serbia said that GnR are "expensive as fuck" compared to their fee in 2012 when they played here and they are not even considering paying that for the festival or for the single concert in Belgrade or something because it's not worth it, in 2012 Axl said that he didn't want to have any dj's playing after them (GnR should have finished at like 2am and dj's would be playing music until 7am) 3 hours before the start and they had to give double money to those dj's for not performing

Yeah and attendance was half that year what it was the year before and the year after, think they really regret paying for GNR that year.

Yeah, I work for exit since 2013 and since then it's like: "you do not talk or ask about 2012" It's actually pretty funny that Motorhead with Lemmy in his 69th year and with endless problems on concerts before that are well known sold more tickets last year than G'n'R in '12 and G'n'R is huuuuuge rock band in Serbia (arguably top 4 with RHCP, Metallica and Iron Maiden), people trusted more to Motorhead with sick Lemmy than Axl's G'n'R.

They'll need a really good promotion to sell more than arenas anywhere, not that it's bad to sell 12-20k but casual fans won't buy tickets for this because they'll still think that Axl won't sing well and will be late and stuff, the same people that saw them on the last tour will buy tickets for this tour with some new faces but I don't think that reunion with Slash will make that many people buy tickets. I think that they will sell out arenas that were close to selling out last time and continue to sell same arenas that were sold out before. I can only see selling out stadiums if they have like 5 dates in Europe. One in England, Holland/Belgium, France, Germany and Russia or something like that

Oh, no, man, reunion with Slash changes everything. Basically for the first time in 23 years people will be buying tickets for GNR that did not exist since 1993. That will put the ticket sales in a different league as compared with Axl's GNR. Even despite his lack of voice these days.

I really can't see that. I work as a booker for two stages on exit festival this year (Fusion and Explosive stage, Amir will know  ) and I really need to do my research on what people want and what people think and I won't book GNR for those stages but I talk to a lot of people and read a lot on and off the internet and people won't buy tickets solely on having Axl and Slash together. It would have worked in 2009 and 2010 but not so much now. It will work if they kick ass as JaxTeller said but I can't really see that if they don't somehow brainwash Axl. People are doing more research on the internet now than just 5 years ago before buying tickets especially because they are more and more expensive every year. If they don't somehow show people that they kick ass they won't sell many more than on their last tour I can guarantee that.

  13. Didn't someone named Evadaer recorded a remix of SIlkworms via youtube?

I'm registered here for about 3 years. I used to check news about gnr once in a month or two but this is the first time I need to comment something. Holy shit, I love this so much. I don't like the live version as I can't hear anything clear but this. I love it. I'm also a big fan of "Oh My God" so that explains a lot
