My daughter came to one of the 2017 shows with me and she enjoyed it. It's better than the videos live because the crowd noise helps cover any weaker vocals. Also, I didn't know any of the Chinese stuff but there were only a few from that album. Axl sang Happy Birthday to the Queen which was funny.

Damn. We're same that we're not familiar with CD songs. I mean I know a few but most of it, I just know the tunes but don't even know the title. I really tried listening to it(3x start to finish) but really can't get into it.

Also, like you, I skip November Rain. Only like the outro tbh.

I saw the Eagles a few weeks prior to GNR in 2022. Whilst they fall into the same lumbering ‘dinosaur dad-rock on a glory lap’ category as GNR (though they’ve all got a good 15 years on GNR)  it was sensational. You can forgive the hired gun-heavy line ups and the stale set lists when the performances are spotless. I know it’s a far more sanitised style of rock, but I couldn’t help feel a bit cheated when I saw GNR a few weeks later, for the same price, and the band were pretty damn subpar. It wasn’t just wheezy old Axl squeaking his way thru … the whole band just sounded shaky. Watching a band phone it in and go through the motions isn’t an appealing prospect when tickets cost a fortune now.

A few months later, I saw the Genesis’ final tour. Phil Collins is chair bound, but like the eagles, the musicianship and attention to detail was spotless. The backing singers hired to help Phil (in lieu of soulless track) sang phenomenally. 2022 didn’t do much for my perspective on GNR.

    Squeaking his way thru. Lolololol.

The wasted potential. If not for the substance abuse and infighting, this band could have put out some incredible music after UYI. It's the same story with the '99-'02 lineup- they were so talented but only managed to get one album out 6 years after the lineup dissolved. I think something that will always haunt the band's legacy is what could have been.

Crazy how they managed to release a double album back then cuz of too much material to zero for almost 2 decades except 2 already written songs. Would have been ok if we all live forever but it is sad. Like you said- wasted potential.

He can but he won't. If they didn't have the cheesy videos it'd be easier to switch things up. Just show the live feed on all the screens, then there's nothing to prepare and changes can be made off the cuff.

Are most of the videos connected? They should have separate file for each video for each song, so they can play whichever in whatever order. Like WWE entrance videos for each wrestlers. Or too much hassle for Team Brazil?

In my scenario, Axl wouldn't be physically signing 1,000 CDs, he'd sign only one CD and the Marketer would copy his autograph 999 times. 😏 But it would be better if Axl physically signed 1,000 CDs as in what you thought as it would be 100 percent more genuine than 999 reprints of the same autograph. Besides, some Fans can boast that Axl's signature on their CD looks better than their fellow Fans autographed CD. 😏 Like "Your autographed CD from Axl looks like he was tired when he signed it, and mine's looks hip and fresh!" 🤣

Or maybe Axl signs once then Beta and Fernando forge the other 999!!!

You'd be surprised on what REALLY Hardcore Fans will be willing to pay for to listen to Axl's behind the scenes song  commentary and talking about his musical experiences.  🤣😏

Edit. Make only 1,000 copies worldwide  of this "Song Commentary and musical experiences," CD  and have Axl's autograph on it and a picture of him smiling and a LOT of Hardcore Fans would pay $100 without batting an eye. And okay, have Axl put a couple of  brand new Accapella songs with just him singing and under the Axl Rose name not Guns N'Roses and this $100 CD could sell like hotcakes! 😏🤣

And joking aside, Axl signing 1,000 CDs wont even be that difficult for him. Even if he signs 50 CDs over a span of 20 days. It would really legitimize Nightrain membership and make the fans happy. Yet we have this CD with hardly any updates, let alone a release date.

I don't know, I just spent a week away on my own and it was amazing. But I have always been pretty ok at entertaining myself. Definitely something nice about travelling on your own though

Agreed. I love traveling alone though I always meet cool people. I met a lot of solo travelers in South America and Europe, but at the same time, I would meet a lot who said they cant travel alone. Like when I was in Medellin last November/December, this guy who just graduated medicine asked how can we travel alone. He said he is terrified of it... he looks pretty well off too. So maybe the more sheltered you are, the more you prefer to be with someone when you travel?

Low register Axl >>>>> Mickey out-of-breath Axl

But I'd rather have Axl like he was in AC/DC.

    This.

Makes you wonder why he isnt using his low register voice. Is he even aware it is better? No one even bothered to tell him, Slash, Duff, Beta, Fernando? He keeps using Mickey which I have never seen anyone praise it.
