  1. I know this idea has already came up but I guess this could be done.

We could get together and get the stuff from the E.Everly auctions. Once we get everything (or at least a good portion of it) we put the material together, put it all inside boxes and send to the GN'R camp.

We don't need to do that for all the items. GN'R memorabilia I guess it's not the issue. But at least all the personal letters and lyrics and real personal stuff.

I know it's a lot of money. I know it's hard to be done. But if the fans take it seriously to help Axl, maybe it works.

I was one of the people who put together the 50th anniversary LA Weekly ad for Axl. It wasn't an easy thing to do (to get all the people, to collect the money, do everything the right way) but we were successful and Axl was happy about it.

I don't have the same amount of free time available I had back then to lead this thing but I surely can help out if others are interested.

We do not know how Axl feels about this but I guess it's safe to say that chances are 99% he's angry at this and we, as fans, should try to help him out.

I don't think this woman deserves one cent from this personal things she's selling but if we consider that someone will end up getting this stuff...

Well - if any of you want to take this topic seriously, let me know. I also don't care at all if you wanna make the exact same topic at other forums out there. I don't want to spread the word about this auctions but we should spread the word (at least among the hardcore fans) to try and help out.

  2. If you owned something that you didn't want anymore, you knew it was worth money, don't act like you'd just throw or give it away. If you would, you'd be dumb.

I guess the lesson is to not give away things that you don't want people seeing.

To sell one or another piece of memorabilia is one thing. To sell personal letters without the other part's knowledge and this person's "ok" is one whole different animal. This is so low.

  3. I don't think it's right. I would personally want to kill any former girffriend of mine who would ever do something like this to me - and I'm nobody (lol).

Maybe Axl doesn't give a damn but I guess he won't enjoy this kind of shit.

To get things worse, seems like there are pieces of poetry and others that were never released or copyrighted. Not sure if she can't do that.

Any lawyers in here? Any possibility to sue a person like Erin Everly for what's she's doing if she doesn't get an "ok" from Axl ?

I guess I can sell a picture of myself. But if there's a famous person with me.. can I as well without permission? And to get things worse, can I sell a pic of a famous person just because I took the pic? Where's the rights of privacy?

I don't know. Even though she might not be worth to receive one damn cent from the money she wants... if I had the money I might be there just to get everything from her hands and handle it to someone Axl trusts and that's it, gone, the end, period.

    Shame.

Do you really think TMZ or the National Enquirer are getting signed released forms from those they hound?

I'm not a lawyer, but it doesn't take one to know that If these items are truly are the property of Erin Everly then they are hers to sell. These would be considered gifts to Erin by Axl, and as such she would be within her right to do with them as she pleases. Any claim by Axl that they are still his property would fail in court.

Also consider that they have been in Erin's possession for decades and you see the legal obstacles that would face Axl were he try to reclaim them or block their sale. Since Axl has not (at least to anyone's knowledge here) made any attempt to recoup these items over this time period, it's unlike he has any valid claim to them now.

Axl's free to comment to the fans about discouraging them from buying it, if he feels that strongly about it.

That would likely bring more attention the auctions. Unless this gets picked up by a major media outlet or somehow goes viral (both of which I doubt, but could still happen), the only people who are going to know about it are a few hundred people who still insanely follow this band (yes, I include myself into that group :P)

Well maybe somebody tries to block this thing let's see. Unless Axl knows about it and doens't give a shit (I personally don't believe in it) I hope she doesn't get a dime. Anyway you're right about not bringing more attention to it.

  4. 1 - To know Axl is happy doing whatever he wants because he's been dealing with a lot of shit to be with us for the last years

2 - If possible, doesn't matter when it happens, to be able to listen to the unreleased stuff from the CD era plus the remixes CD

3 - I would love to see a few vids for CD and the right booklet but maybe it's been so much time already that maybe it doesn't happen.

  5. I don't think it's right. I would personally want to kill any former girffriend of mine who would ever do something like this to me - and I'm nobody (lol).

    Shame.

  6. I personally don't get Paradise City. I know its feed comes mainly from fans. But still... it's an official channel of the band promoting the old band / former members.

If they spend half of their time and efforts used on Paradise City to work on www.gunsnroses.com would be much better, not to mention that it would promote the current band instead of the past.

Axl has spent many many years fighting to make things work with Guns and to bury what's left from the past as regards former members and others - so do the fans who are into Guns N' Roses in the new century. I don't think it's fair to Axl, to the band and to the fans to have Paradise City around. I respect the work that has been done there but I don't get it.

  7. I love it. Axl's voice gives a new approach to the song. Reminds me of an old radio interview of Axl and Slash by the time TSI? came out or was going to come out (Rockline was the show I still have it on cassete tape!) where Axl said he wanted to do a cover of "Dead on Time" but they couldn't do it at the same caliber of Queen and then they gave up.

  8. if anyone ever takes it seriously to Team Brazil (and stop the bullshit as regards reunions, bashing Beta and others), I just wrote some serious questions (I'm busy right now, I'll try to think about more later):

    - Any chances to see the original art for the Chinese Democracy booklet out? The red hand and the Grenade are awesome arts!

    - Are we gonna hear the Chinese Democracy remixes anytime? Is it gonna be released?

    - Will Chinese Democracy have any videos out? If yes, for which songs?

    - The new versions of Oh My God and Silkworms will ever see the light of day on a new record or in any other format?

    - Many fans want to hear the 1999 version of Appetite For Destruction. Is it gonna happen someday or is it something you don’t want to release? The second half of Big Daddy’s Sweet Child is just amazing!

    - Do you remember which Guns songs Zakk Wylde played when he rehearsed with the band?

    - Did Bucket used a mask when you went to Disney with him? Any chances to have him on stage again in the future?

    - Have you ever considered Josh Freese to play live?

    - Is it safe to say we’ll hear songs with contributions by Bucket, Robin, Paul and Brain on a future release?

    - What’s the status on Brain and Paul? Do they still contribute in any form to the band behind the scenes?

    - Did Lionel Richie really recorded some stuff with Guns? Did you guys recorded “Ebony and Ivory”?

    - Do you know if Dylan ever heard Chinese Democracy or ever wanted to know what really happened? Sorry about this “way too personal” question, but I thought about your Rolling Stone interview from 2000, when you did say you wanted him to hear it someday if he wanted to know the truth of the facts.

    - In 1999 you spoke about songs that were way too advanced for old Guns fans to hear (back then). You also spoke about aggressive electronica with full guitars for a second release. Is it still on your plans? Please say yes lol !

    - Will there be more contributions of you on guitars on a future release?

    - Can you tell us more about the rehearsals with Dave Abruzzesse and Pod?

    - Do you still consider to have 2 drummers live (Frank and Brain, for instance)?

    - Are you writing stuff with DJ? Is there any new songs or riffs or parts he brought in that will be a on a future release? Can you tell us about the styles and directions of the material (if it’s happening, of course)?

    - Paradise City is mainly made by fans. But there are so many things related to the old years that I feel disconnected from the present, reason why I don’t go there often. Are we gonna have www.gunsnroses.com more dedicated to Chinese Democracy and to the current members?

    - In 1994 you spoke about recording “Dead on Time” but wouldn’t be possible to do that at the same caliber Queen did. Would you ever reconsider that? Your voice would kick some major ass on this song. Speaking of covers, any considerations of studio versions of “Don’t Let It Bring You Down”, “Riff Raff”, “The Seeker”, “Sailing” or any other cover?

    - Do you still want to release the leaked articles you wrote about Chinese Democracy and Riad (the ones that appeared everywhere online when the booklet arts leaked) somewhere? If not on a possible release of the original booklet, maybe online at the website?

    - Can you tell us more about your new tattoos (the skull bracelet and the ones on your legs)? The machine gun woman kicks ass !

  9. You can want anything I guess. Just like Axl said once, you can even wait for Jesus Christ or something. Anyway what bothers is that some fans demand new music, some fans want to dictate the future of the band and some fans aren't able to see the bright side of anything and it's just complain over complain.

Offensive words again Beta and against Team Brazil for nothing. People have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. And it's so easy to find a target and shoot at it.

David Bowie didn't record one fuckin album for 10 years. Go see his forums. There's not a fan bitching or disrespecting him or his family or his managers or whoever because of that. If I didn't want to hear new music I just would wish Axl wouldn't record shit for 10 years just because of this pile of shit of so called fans.

  10. Let's keep it simple:

    - Not happy with the current line up, want the past back? Not gonna happen so go away. Life's too precious to lose time on something you don't like anymore.

    - Happy with the band but want a new record or more different stuff from the band live plus more news? Stick around but don't demand. Wait. Who knows what's coming. We waited a long time for CD and it's a blessing to have everything we got for the last years. And I'm personally very grateful to Axl, the band, TB and everybody else involved because they gave me a lot of happinness for the last 5 years.

The only issue here isn't management, Beta, current band or whatever. The issue is: a bunch of morons trying to know what happens inside the band and trying to dictate what THEY think the band / Axl should do.

  11. Do you really think I'm reading what you said after knowing you're one of those deluded, misguided fans who uses "GNR4LIFE" as a signature? Let's all believe you're just on that bad day of the month before thinking you have a mental problem. :)

    how rude as usual.

I have the same issue with Queen + Adam Lambert, i don't support that thing. But i don't go to the forums bitchin about that. I respect Brian n Roger 4 all the hard work and they can do what they want.

It's just how ppl likes to living, i wouldn't put money on a forum of a band that i don't support.

Exactly. There's no point to support or to lose some precious time of your life on something you don't dig anymore or hate or don't agree with. The last Queen album I heard (studio speaking) is Made in Heaven n' that's it. But I also love Brian and Roger. I just don't go to the forums or buy the albums.

I remember the years that followed the last tour from the 90's until Rock in Rio III. I guess this period of time should be eternal for those who hate the current band / other CD line ups. Ok, last album was TSI?, last gig was Argentina 93. So stick on what you believe n' go away because it won't be back. What you see is what you get. Don't like it? Get out.

  12. This thread needs more of the greatest SCOM cover ever done. BTW, I'm sure ManetsBR is acquainted with these guys.

Sounds better than Ashba and the singer sounds better than Axl who lost his voice and sounds incredibly awful and weak nowadays.

Those who believe in the shit you just said should stick with the old material n' get out of here. I was a huge Skid Row fan back in the day. For me, there's no Skid Row without Bach so I have no idea what happens with Skid Row now. I don't go to the forums, I don't complain, I don't bitch I just don't listen to the new stuff. When Snakepit's first album was out I heard, I went to the gig. I didn't like the singer. I was out. I hate VR. I don't like the songs, I don't like the singer, nothing. I just gave up on Slash because I don't like what he does since he was out of Guns. So that's why I don't get you guys.

  13. For Christ's sake, leave 'em alone.

    You remind me of

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHmvkRoEowc

Let it be. Or... live and let die. It's up to you.

I pick the other option. The one where I keep telling the truth and pointing out the obvious..

Don't forget the stupid need of using "let it be" and "live and let die" in the same sentence.

    GNRLIFE SON!!! :rofl-lol:

Some people need redundancy. Maybe if we repeat it over n' over again something gets inside their - yours? - brain.

Yep the mistyped GNR4LIFE without the 4 was fun I give ya that.

  14. Please spgunner... if that SP means São Paulo, don't tell anyone. Please.

Hey pal I'm not much of a regular fan as regards writting here as I was in other foruns (I got so tired of people like you n' I have so much to do on daily basis in real life - which is something many people here have no idea about) but when you were 2 years old I was watching GN'R live so... focus on the subject.

  15. It’s so easy to point fingers.

It’s so easy to find lunatic answers to questions that maybe even those involved may not know how to give a proper reply because it’s simple not so easy.

Axl has spoke many times about how hard it was to accomplish Chinese Democracy and about all the many many issues that made it take so long to be released.

Not even God knows why there’s no new music around. Maybe it’s because of the same issues that delayed CD. Maybe it’s just because it’s not the right time yet. Or could it be because of one million different reasons. We don’t know. So, nevermind.

So many bands take forever to release a new album. We got our new album. It’s been only 5 years since its release. I still enjoy it as I enjoyed back in the day because it’s so good. Of course I wanna see videos for it, I wanna see the proper booklet, I wanna see the remixes, the same way I dream of hearing the re recorded appetite from 1999 and yes I want new music just like everybody else. BUT there’s no reason to demand something like this. Art is not Wallmart. You can’t ask for new music the same way you ask for Diet coke at the market when they’re out of it. Doesn’t matter the reasons why there’s no new record around, we need to respect and there’s no reason to put pressure on the band or on their crew. When it’s time, it’s time. Meanwhile, enjoy what we have or go away.

People who complain about shows being exactly the same are probably the same people who are everyday on the internet, with nothing to do. Ok, the shows might be quite similar but to those who go to the shows, it’s a unique experience. If I could I would go to 50 shows (and even though the setlist would be more or less the same), I would enjoy every second of every gig. But this is just me. Of course I would love to see more Chinese Democracy songs being played live but this is not my band. This is up to Axl and the boys to play wherever they want/like. If you’re not happy, don’t stick around. But it’s not fair to complain and bitch to them. Am I tired of the paintings of a specific artist? I won’t complain, I just leave. So you have a choice. Stay or leave.

We all know Beta has done more for this band that most people around, ever. It’s so low and ridiculous to say that she and the Lebeis can’t do their job. First: we have no idea about the issues they face in Guns (we can only imagine the terror if you think about all the issues that delayed CD). Second: who the hell do you (you all that criticize) think you are to judge someone? It’s soooo easy to judge other people. We, humans, tend to do it. It’s so easy to judge everyone out there. But from 100 people you judge everyday, do you think you’re right as regards at least how many? 1, 2, maybe? It’s so easy to judge when you’re not inside the scene, when you’re no the target. Third: Many people hate Beta, Fernando and Vanessa because they wanted to be in their shoes – this is what I call envy.

We should be thankful Axl has people around him who really cares about him, which is something SO rare inside this business – and out of this business as well.

Thank you Axl for this amazing record! And thanks to Beta, Fernando, Del and everybody else who make this band alive !! Which isn’t a easy thing to do.

    GNRLIFE!

Oh please! Read up on what a normal manager does and how a normal band functions. How can you even think that way when the band's manager is having such a horribly condescending attitude towards the fanbase? In what universe is that acceptable? As far as I'm concerned there's a LOT of very fair criticism to be had on Axl, Guns n' Roses and their terrible excuse for a management team. So by all means let's voice it. People need to stop treating Axl like some special needs kid. Oh poor Axl and it's all so hard for him and we should be so thankful. Please! All the excuse are rubbish. It's pretty normal to me to have the same expectations of GnR as you'd have of any other functioning band.

Excuse me but Guns was never your regular normal band. NEVER! One of the things that made me love this band so much is that it's so different from the rest. It's not about treating Axl as a kid. The band releases or plays whatever they want at their time on their reasons and terms. No fan of any band out there has the right to demand. It's not fair. People complain about the management without knowing if 1% of the real reasons of fucked up situations are or aren't because of poor management. But one thing we can clearly see is that this same management people complain about is the same management that brings the band on tour. For years n' years we didn't have tours. Now we complain about the tour. For years n' years we complained about no record. Now we have a record n' we complain we don't have another. If the shows change n' they play 3 new songs every gig plus more CD songs n' a new record is released until the end of the year, you know what's gonna happen? People like you WILL FIND something new to complain about. I bet my ass there'll always be a retard out there complaining doesn't matter what happens. When Axl dies there'll be at least one carzy maniac saying that it's due management's fault because they couldn't handle their business with the man up there! For Christ's sake, leave 'em alone. Let it be. Or... live and let die. It's up to you.
