Gave them a listen, they actually sound really good.

I don't understand what award she won.
The elusive and prestigious Golden God award. Duh man c'mon.
-
I just tuned it...that crowd is the size of a preschool class.

Whoa! Subs don't leave us in the dark about that man. Can you elaborate anymore on Axl reading the forum? How often do you believe he does that? Was that what that little (as in 4 second) rant before It's So Easy at the penultimate show was about?
Oh I'm sorry dear! Whilst trying to update the forum on my iPhone, being at a funeral plus other shitty stuff you wouldn't even dream about I mis-spelt a word! By your tone seems awful familiar hmm.... How about this: my source isn't "betraying" Axl? Matt who?? Perla?? Lol erm I said close to Axl don't patronise me -- sorry to disappoint you but fact is, this forum plays a bigger part than you'd care to think about. Here's another, Axl was here reading this forum weeks ago. Comprende? GoodComa I didn't ask no, it was stated 2014 and the year isn't finished/it was stated "The intension...." and in GNR world we all know what that means!! + other stuff
So your source can't spell?
Quick someone find out if Matt Larsen or Perla Hudson can spell "intention"!
I wonder if someone is messing w/ya? I don't get the impression that someone close to Axl would betray his trust. Matt is not close to Axl if he is
the source and no one truly close is going to talk to outsiders when the info comes in.
Anyhoo, You can be certain that nothing has been decided as this all temporary for now. Tommy could still show at the Golden Golds and join in.
I am guessing if he doesn't it is because it is quite a trek from his home unlike Duff plus he is still injured.
Ps - on iPhone agIn so please forgive any typos!! Many thanks.
Is there a video of that rant/anyone know what he said?

Toronto 2010 was pretty good IIRC.
This!
We have a winner.
Yeah that one was great! The 2006 one was good as well. I've never understood why DJ doesn't play the solo like it's supposed to be played though...

I'm looking for the best newgnr rendition of rocket queen. Especially from "I see you standing..." I love the outro but I've never really heard a great newgnr version. I feel it's one of the sleazy songs they really can't nail.
-
So fine is amazingly bad. Your opinion is very valid.thank god that so fine wasnt played.
Duff played so fine with loaded in Seattle when they opened for GnR. I thought it was awesome and the crowd loved it.
-
At least it's a change. I freaking loved that album, I know I'm in the minority.
I enjoyed it too

He says uptempo ballads are they gayest thing you can write. Then goes on to say he loves the guitar riff on it. People here are so sensationalist.

I don't see why DJ is so insistent on playing the TIL solo. Yes, it's a chance to shine... if you can actually play it. I remember before the Taipei gig there was some interview with him where someone asked what his favourite solo to play was and he said TIL. Was not expecting it to sound so awful at the Taipei show after that comment, and definitely didn't foresee him giving up and changing the solo entirely for subsequent shows. Wish Finck had played TIL instead of Better at the Hollywood 2012 gig, we've already heard Finck play his Better solo live but it's a damn shame we'll probably never hear him play TIL. Hell, just let Bumble play the damn solo like it's supposed to be played.
Yeah the only positive of that performance by Ashba is that he at least "tried" to play the recorded version. But that was one and done because he blew it so bad. Disappointing.

I just watched his Taipei TIL solo for the first time.
WOAH.

It's funny how people here obviously project their own feelings about Slash and Axl onto the acts and words of these.
I agree. Slash would have made more of a "negative" statement by saying nothing. And yet people here read it and claim he's jealous and butthurt. It seems to me that he literally could not care any less about the situation.
-
I don't blame him. If I had to hear So Fine and Raw Power first hand for 7 shows in a row I'd contemplate suicide.
-
I think the fans are going to be paying attention to see how Duff fares doing the CD songs. I'm sure he'll hash a lot of it out in rehearsals.
???
Do you play guitar or bass? If you did, then you'd know ChiDem bass lines aren't exactly like trying to learn EVHs "Eruption".
Yeah they are pretty damn simple...

Something to consider: Brain "temporarily" left to tend to his pregnant wife, but was permanently replaced by Frank. Do you think it's possible that Tommy could be permanently replaced by Duff? There's no overestimating the attention Duff's presence will receive.
Interesting point but I don't know if it'll generate THAT much attention. For us, it's very cool but for everyone else, I'm not sure. The attention wasnt very big when Loaded opened for GNR in Seattle and Vancouver and even played some songs with them on stage. I hope he stays though, that'd be great.
Umm!? Duff rejoining GnR in any capacity is big for rock news, it will be picked up by the usual rock news sites and will likely give the reunion requests another kick.
It was not big rock news previously. The show I went to with Duff was not even close to being sold-out and the entire upper deck was roped off. If it was some epic second coming of GNR I think people would give a shit enough to sell out a single show. And yet...they didn't.
This will mostly likely be different as it's South America and he's doing a full show so I guess we'll find out.

Music is kinda like sex you see, it's better to give but it's nice to receive. The harder you play, the louder she screams, the deeper the note, the more she sings. She likes to be choked, but allow her to breath, you finger her right and she'll never leave. ~DJA
What the actual fuck.

Was awesome seeing him play some old stuff in Seattle even though it was just a few songs. This would be very cool!

We need a happy medium between that YCBM and this one
There is nothing left in current Axl that even resembles this. I don't expect him to sound like this now but there isn't even a shadow of his former self in the present day.
-
Are you high?
That's not an insult or slam on you liking CD right now, just seems like it

That OTGM was amazing!

I thought GnR was having trouble selling tickets? I suppose that was just someone expressing their "opinion."
Lot of people on the floor but it doesn't look like 16,000 to me considering half the arena is blocked off. Still a solid crowd though.

What makes me laugh about this picture is not the ugly, old tranny holding up the banner, is the "LET THERE BE GNR" line. What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
is that Warchild?
I think that every time I see this picture...

I'm really considering the 25th. I live in AZ so it wouldn't be too hard but I have quite a commitment on the 27th. I saw them twice in 2011, from anyone whose seen them recently, is it worth seeing them now?
