Just me that thinks that this version is way better than the final one?

He's not mickey. That's a totally different voice actualy. He is not singing in a kinda falsetto, but in a lower tone, with a much better breathing, alternating with the raspy voice sometimes. When he is mickey, like the Bridge School and RIR 4, his voice is totally different.

At the risk of getting everyones hopes up, I thought if Axl was open about it in person to a group of people then he's happy for it to be discussed in public.

After the show in Newcastle, a bunch of us were waiting to see if Axl would come out to grab a photo/meet him, and eventually he did.

While he was taking photos with everyone, I said 'love silkworms Axl'

and his response was, and I direct quote

"Actually we are thinking about releasing that later this year"

and he said it seriously, not in a sarcastic/joking tone...

At least 3 other people who are also members on here can confirm...

and it backs up with what others have said about the possibility of "new" music getting released this year when talking to the management this past Australian tour.

If he said like "Laaaater this year" it means he is not sure about it, and opens space for some excuses like:

"We're having Label problems"

"We're fighting for survival at the music business"

I'm not saying that those phrases that were used before are excuses, but they may be used as. Getting back to what i was saying...

If he said like "Late'r' this year", almost forgetting the r, it means he is pretty sure that this will happen, and everything is ready.

If he just said a normal "Later", it means it's not ready yet, but it is in his plans, and until 2015 we should have this released.

No. GNR is just playing concerts with no compromise, and BBF said that he has suggested to Axl to record some songs at Australia. Will they release an album at 2013 fall? Will they release a double album at 2014 fall? Will they just say to all of us "Go to fuck you all, we don't want to release songs"? Maybe someday we know.

Maybe Bumblefoot doesn't features on the creative part. Maybe just Fortus and Ashba are participating on this, what is a weird thing, but also interesting. Hear that we will have soon a new album from Axl, Ashba, Fortus and Dizzy refreshes a lot my hopes!!!

DJ's been saying the same thing for almost 4 years. Nothing happened. Meanwhile Ron said at the same time that a new record wouldnt happen fast so we wouldnt get our hopes up. Here we are, 3-4 years ahead of those interviews and we know who was right. DJ is bad enough at playing guitar so he should just shut the fuck up instead of running his emo ugly mouth talking about something that never happened. Ron, Tommy and the other guys reportedly played on a good handful of songs yet they dont claim "we recorded a lot, we gotta release the best stuff". The one that has nothing to do with that material is the one that talks openly about it like if he played on it. Pathetic.

Man, i would say something, but you already said everything that i had in mind and what i didn't have in mind.
