Ashba, meanwhile, says the biggest thing driving him forward this time around is that they have so much to prove.

“We’re leaving two of the biggest bands in the world to commit to this full time,” he says. “Motley Crue were insanely big, and Guns N’ Roses too. We could’ve carried on with those things but it’s in our nature to push hard and do something else.”

How amazing of dj. What a sacrifice he's making. Let's all buy sixxxxxxxxxxAM swag and dad-rock music now.

Being as disliked and unwanted from the fan base, you would think he would have enough class to resign anyway.. But the more I hear about him. He just might not have any class.

Why on earth would he resign? He makes massive amounts of money to do nothing but kiss Axl's ass and be a good little lapdog.

Pittsman would make $3 a year from his own music, otherwise.

  3. ChiDem is a really great representation of what Axl was reaching for.

He wanted to move past the 80s blues rock thing, but he was shackled to the massive success that blues-rock guitar brought him, thanks to Slash and Izzy.

So, we ended up with something in between: it's sort of not blues rock, but he also tried to replace each secret ingredient which had been removed (namely, incredible guitar work).

What you get is a mix of dissonance which just doesn't really work. Had Axl not been shackled to the GNR name and legacy, he would have come up with much better songs.

But tha dream is long dead to Axl. That's why his SUPER SECRET NEW SONG RESULTING FROM THE THREE HOUR MEETING was.... The Seeker.

  4. People on here talk all kinds of shit about Fernando and Beta as if they know them in real life. The "housekeeper" digs aren't even funny. That housekeeper is probably worth millions. The funny thing is these same people would kiss their asses in person to meet Axl and now Slash and Duff. Axl considers them family and that's more important than whether they've redeemed themselves in the eyes of a few Internet fans.

Absolutely not. I would never kiss their asses for anything. I wouldn't even ask them for a dollar if I were about to die of starvation.

Not all of us are as pathetic as you seem to think.

  5. Is there somewhere where I can find out more about this TB management as I've tuned out the last couple of years with this band...

When Stephanie Seymour was with Axl, she had a nanny who took care of her son. When she left Axl, that nanny stayed behind with him. Her name is Beta Lebis and she is from Brazil. She has three children, of which Fernando is one. When Axl went through that reclusive patch, Beta became a mother figure to him; though note, she's 2/3 years his senior. Axl calls her his mother and he credits her with saving his life, as she took care of him during that difficult time.

And during that time, Beta and her children moved into Axl's home. Beta eventually became Axl's personal assistant, and over time, after Doc McGee left in 2011, the manager of GNR. She later moved aside and now Fernando is the manager.

They are Team Brazil, though the name does also refer to other people within the GNR organisation, Del, some lawyers etc.

They are contentious because for a long time they were very anti Slash and their influence on Axl has been heavily discussed.

This is solid, but don't forget: Beta threatened to leave Axl if he didn't allow her to take over as GNR's manager.

Beta went from "lighting candles for the band, bringing them cupcakes and baked goods" to managing a multi-million dollar brand.

So, it's no real wonder that GNR has been run so profoundly incompetently.
