The most recent photo says it all: Axl's mentality and physical condition will be unchanged, if not worse.
The fire has completely gone out in him.
-
Not without a time machine.
Great Scott!
If Axl gets in shape, we could see some serious shit though.
But that would entail that Axl run really fast. Like, maybe, eighty-eight miles per hour.

Slash, far and away.
Axl has become something of a joke. He's more remembered for his staggering failures after GNR rather than his accomplishments with GNR.
And no, nuGNR isn't GNR.

Spot on.
If we go by number of recordings on which the drummer performed, then Matt Sorum is GNR's primary drummer.
How can he be relegated to DJ Abhsa status?
And this is coming from a Popcorn fan.

Axl wrote the drum parts for AFD, clearly. He wrote out the charts and notation. Also, he wrote the solos do Salsh. Stuson ghost wrote the bass for Duff.

Beautifully worded.Someone brought up a very interesting point about Pitman and it has to do with what is a band member or not. Pitman was told by mgmt to shut up. You'll never see The Edge saying mgmt told him to shut up. Same for, for example, Dave Murray, Flea, Kirk Hammet, etc. It shows how Pitman, though being in the band since 1998, never had and never will have any power. He is just a hired musician. He was Axl's employee and now he's probably a backing musician in a new Axl-Slash-Duff partnership and he has to accept that and "shut up and play".
He probably made more money than he could ever dream of, being the mediocre musician he is, but I'd feel sad to be in his position. Adn he even called GNR "his other band". Makes it even sadder. If it's his band too, why doesn't he have any autonomy to speak about it? How come Fernando and Beta have more power than an actual member of the band? Pathetic.
I mean, how pathetic is this operation? (At least, pre-reunion).
Pittsmna is a completely unremarkable musician. He's no better than any random dad testing out keyboards at Guitar Center.
Fernando- by all rights, a person with zero talent for business, who I'm sure is totally uneducated in business-- is the lord and master of Pistmann and Stuson and all the other talentless nobodies who were hired by Axl to play material which Axl's previous collaborators created.
Pathetic.

I hear he now wears a size 30 Jean.
-
He'll be there.
He's kissed Axl's and Fernando's asses far too much to get fired now.

Honestly, if they do a Vegas residency, I'm taking a trip with my buddies.
-
Lol imagine, Fernando instructs his employees Slash and Duff to sit and listen to hours of DJ riffs and Bumbkeoot masturbation Atari sounds, telling them to make ChiDem 2.
-
Fortus is in.
He knows a sweet deal when he sees one. He's done anything and everything which Beta and Fernie told him to do. He's quiet. He just shows up when Fernie tells him, he plays Slash and Izzys music, and he collects a fat paycheck.
He's the exact yes-man that Axl likes to keep around.

Honestly, I'd prefer to hear Nov Rain performed live without all the samples. I'd love to hear it done live with just guitars, piano, drums, and bass.
That's the best thing about live music.

Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven would be AWESOME.
Axl, Slash, Duff, Gilby and Matt would be great.
Axl, Slash, Duff and two guys from 1996 to date... would be fine.
But they (and we) don't need two keyboard players.
One keyboard player plays keyboard and the other one (Chris in GNR case) adds samples, loops, overdubs, backing vocals soundscapes... A lot of bands have one behind the stage. Guns just got their one on the stage...
samples, loops, overdubs, backing vocals soundscapes
These are all the antithesis of why GNR was so successful in the first place.
Let ChiDem die, man. Just let it die.

As a business professional, I gotta say that they're doing this right.
Everyone knows that Axl, Slash, and Duff are performing under the name GNR at Coachella.
The very first time they're seen together in over twenty years will be on stage at Coachella. That's MASSIVE.
Having them appear together at a cheesy press conference would take so much mystique and power out of their appearance on stage.
I'm impressed. Clearly, Beta and Fernie had nothing to do with this.

I believe it was confirmed a decade ago that it is only one T.Chris Pit(t)man is a rock legend. The legacy he has left on music is something Neil Young could only hope to replicate.

I don't know, man. Professor Tommy Stusson says its Chris Pittsman, backing up Roben Fukne on the washtub bass.

I'm expecting Bridge School Axl, overall.

https://mobile.twitter.com/LostHighwaygnr/status/596729814280732672/photo/1on may 8th and April 6th 2015 Pitman used the old Logo for his project beatrazrs. Why didn't he use the nugnr logo?
God what a fucking turd.

But what about RibFest?
I hear they pay in big-screen TVs.

ChiDem is an album by GNR. That's just a fact, plain and simple.
Another fact is that 99.999% of the ticket buying audience have no interest in hearing one single song from that album, not with Slash and Duff on stage.
Another fact is that Axl will never admit that ChiDem was a colossal failure. So, yes, we're going to get a few ChiDem shit-bombs at the reunion shows.
Axl isn't done with his "ChiDem album release tour" just yet. 8 years simply isn't enough time to properly tour an new album, I guess.

I'm honestly a bit proud of Popcorn Adler.
Looks like he's actually gonna get his dream: performing again with GNR

Just what we need. More copy-paste "music".
This is exactly how George Lucas turned the prequels into pure dog shit

Pitman is clearly not fired.
But GNR is now being presented as Axl, Slash, and Duff. The people behind them are irrelevant to the majority of ticket buyers, and the management which Slash and Duff have brought knows it.
You can bet Beta and Fernando have been relegated to minor tasks for Axl. Now there are actual professionals in charge.

Is anyone sad that the Chinese Democracy era is over?

Chris Pittsman is quite sad.
