  1. It's been so long since I attended college, 2003 actually! My experience was pretty good. Met and made many friends but found that most of the students in my classes were immature and most

were not serious about their studies.

I may go back next year to focus on film/media since the movie business is booming in Atlanta-the Hollywood of the south...

    It's been quite exciting here!

I wanted to focus on film originally but my parents were against anything in the entertainment industry and steered me away from it for some reason.

There are more jobs than acting or being a singer you know....

We'll see what happens-I'm sending off headshots for local casting calls since we have so many movies filming around here. Exciting indeed!

I get e-mail alerts for casting calls with the casting directors E-mail and directions on what they are looking for.

    Wish me luck!

Yes, I do believe in Ghosts but more from a physics standpoint concerning space and time, energy imprints among other things. I think there are places on earth where conditions are right that allows us to see the past-ley lines spring to mind for me. Portals or worm holes? It's more interesting to read up on that than the bible so anything other I'll consider.

    Do you believe in magic?

Yes. I was invited many years ago to join O.T.O and/or A∴A∴ but declined as the study of high magick wasn't something I felt I was ready for at the time. I was introduced to Franz Bardon during that time, the tree of life, sigils....things I had only "read" about was placed in front of me in the form of a temple and actual practice and it was quite daunting for me to consider it. Supposedly I was "gifted" and it's why they were interested in me. In hindsight I do regret not joining. One of the reasons I backed away was when the Temple of SET was mentioned. Look into it but don't go further and it'll make sense why I backed away LOL.

As of today I'm not into any of that anymore after going through what I did and just practise some ideals of buddhism, the chakra system, energy work and just in general-being a "hippy" that thinks she has magical powers...LOL

New ager I guess is the term now and not involved in the Art of Magick or the science behind it. It's quite real. The temples the people, the rituals of hermeticism but soul wise it frightened me as a believer in karma

I didn't want to take a chance. I'd like to come back as a human and not an ant in my next life.

So it's all peace and love here now. :headbang:

  3. Sorry to hear you're leaving Chris! As long as I've been a member here-almost 2 years I've always enjoyed our chats.

Can't say a mean thing about you since you were always kind to me. You broke down the intimidation factor for me around here as a former newbie. Thanks!

Hope life gives you a few happy surprises along the way and have fun, that's the key. You only get one life so go out there

and do your thing but keep in touch!

  4. Yes. Bought my home at 25 and plan to build onto it and die in it. Due to excellent credit and a high down payment my mortgage is only 650 a month. I see no point

in selling it when I got a great deal on it. My father owns five houses he rents out. Each of us kids will get a house after he passes so I guess I own 2.

  5. Axl fires Beta often, he fires everybody. But I'm pretty sure one of the reasons they did the adoption thing is so he couldn't fire her -- or he could fire her from the 'job', but she'd still be his mom. (And that would have been an Axl initiative, not Beta's).

    Can inmigrant adopt an American?

Why are people spreading bullshit like that?

I'd ask Snooze where he heard that bullshit. I'm not the one stirring it. :)

  6. The "adopted" could be that he just considers Beta a parent now. Not anything formal. On that paparazzi video from LAX a few years ago, he clearly says that someone hit his "mom," ie, Beta.

I don't really see a problem with that one. From a legal standpoint I say no way.

My parents fostered a kid now adult that was in the system since they worked with DFACs-department of family and services. I'm

an adoptee and not biologically related to the people that adopted me or to my "sister", nor am I to my brothers they had through previous

marriages or my "brother" that is adopted as well.

Although they are not related to me, these brothers and sisters I consider them family. Even a brother I'd never met until I was 22.

I don't view adoption even in the way Axl and Beta have a relationship the same way others do.

    Everyone needs somebody, favorite line!

  7. Yes & Yes. I was fired from my first job at the age of 16 for getting into a fist fight with another co-worker. A mid 20ish bitch that did not like me and for what reason I've never

figured out. I had confronted her about rumors she was spreading around about me and nicely asked her why she felt the need to do so. She replied " because I can".

I questioned her some more and decided to take the high road but when she started mocking me, what I was saying I lost it.

Thinking I was some bad ass teenage bitch which I wasn't, I shoved her into the wall, held her there and said " This is now over and you owe me an apology, bitch ". I turned around to walk off but

made a stupid rookie mistake ( it was my first fight ) and heard her yell " Hey Sheri! ", I turned around and got socked right in the nose. She broke my nose and I broke her jaw just about and

gave her a pretty black eye. Two of the adult managers there both in their late 40s and both men jumped into the fray and it took a bit for them to separate us. After we were broken up,

our manager came up to me and said I was fired and to vacate the premises immediately. Oh, and by the way it was all caught on the security cameras too. Because, it happened at work the company was

made to pay for any surgery I may need on my nose. Because I was Deaf and the girl ended up mocking me right before I blew a gasket, my parents used it against the company for them to pay my medical bills, and nose surgery I'd need to fix it. I ended up having plastic surgery since she busted it pretty good. Basically, bullying was used as a hostile environment, harassment case and that is on the girls record for life, employment record. She'll have to admit a Deaf girl beat her ass because she bullied the deaf person. In the end I won the fight.

My parents were on vacation when this happened so my big brother picked me up. He asked to see my nose, pointed to the blood spatter on my hat and gave me a big thumbs up. He was so proud of me. I was too until my parents heard the news but all in all it worked out pretty darn good. I still smirk when I think of it. What was I thinking?

First and only job I'd been fired from.

  8. if you want birth control to stop from having kids it should be your responsibility to pay for birth control not the company you work for.

Well, that's not necessarily how insurance works. Companies are not paying for birth control directly, but health insurance that would cover the medication. Granted, perhaps the price of a policy would decrease (even if it's ever so little) if you remove birth control from said policy. But it's not as though the company is paying directly for birth control.

Let's also clear the confusion regarding what the issue is. If a company is not receiving tax benefits as a result of providing their employees health insurance, they can offer whatever they damn well please so long as it meets a certain basic threshold. Prior to the Hobby Lobby case, companies that do take tax benefits were required to offer coverage that included certain operations/medications, like Plan B and other forms of contraception. But now, as a result of the decision, companies who "find God" can object to such coverage even if they are receiving government subsidies. So when you say it's not the company's responsibility to pay for your contraception, understand that that company is receiving tax benefits, hence it's not really their money.

It should be of note that the insurance policy Hobby Lobby has in place for its employees covers vasectomies and viagra. It's rather telling that companies that "find God" seem to have few issues with contraceptive and sexual performance medications for men.

    Thank you!

  9. I'm pro choice obviously. No institution no matter how large should be able to tell anyone what will be covered or not covered

as far as reproductive rights are considered. Especially if it is based off of a false ideology, a guise more or less of control.

It's time for organized religion to be dismantled and for the sheep to wake up. I understand we all have certain rights here, but

how would I feel if my company "found" god as one person mentioned and opted to no longer cover such services, or opted out?

Birth control should be mandatory coverage for all women, period no matter what company you work for, or what their "religious" leanings are.

It's basic womens health in my opinion. If I'm forced to have pediatric dental coverage regardless if I have kids or not ( got an e-mail from my company on it )

birth control should be the same. Sure, I'm pissed over that mandatory dental coverage because I've no use for it as I do not have kids thankfully, but if I have another insurance that covers children I can opt out. If I don't have other insurance that covers it then I'm charged a more higher premium now.

I however don't have an issue with birth control being mandatory for those who want or need it. Accidents happen and the morning after pill would come in handy. Dental insurance coverage for

non existent kids? Bullshit. It is unfair to the ones who not follow such silly doctrines. When will enough be enough?

Both corporations -- Conestoga Wood Specialties of Pennsylvania and Hobby Lobby, an Oklahoma-based arts-and-crafts retail giant -- emphasize their conscientious desire to operate in harmony with biblical principles while competing in a secular marketplace.

  10. Saw the vid a while back and was left with the feeling of having axls hands around my neck putting myself in betas shoes. That tone he used, I've heard it before personally. No not from axl but any woman who has been with an uber controller it just hits you in the gut.

Honestly, beta is one hell of a brave woman to say "whatever" back to ax man.

**on mobile! For the grammar police :)

Interesting observation, I also felt some kinda control angle when he said that but her reply was of acceptance but not meekly surrendering. So much psychology in a tiny exchange lol.

You hit the nail on the head literally.

Mount Pinatubo-1991. I was on Clark Airbase with my family living at the time the Volcano was active. We left 2 weeks before it blew, got a heads up early and boarded a cargo jet out of the area.

I'll never forget it. I remember seeing the white smoke from the volcano before it blew, steam. It went on for a few weeks or more.

  12. Anatomy of a Silkworm.

Ok ok may sound lame but it looks great in print.

I made a mock GNR album cover using it Just to see how it would look. Remember an old thread asking us to submit our cover art ideas just for fun? I posted it there if thread still exist.

I think with silkworms being so highly desired by fans why not design the cover around the silkworm? A cool picture or xray of a silkworm which whats looks to have GNR being threaded....

    Blabbing sorry!

Godamn! Not using mobile anymore to type! :has fit:

Honestly, beta is one hell of a brave woman to say "whatever" back to ax man. I would have been dreading whatever came behind closed doors...solely based on the could be true or false domestic violence past with other women.

Hate to be such a wimp here but if I were in her position I'd "obey" the man to the letter. Would be totally submissive. Axls a pretty intimidating guy to me. I've noticed he has a certain calmness but its what makes me nervous.

I'm team beta here irregardless here...

    Lol brave woman!
