  1. Yeah, it's definitely Axl who is the weakest link right now. For a reunion, or whatever project his fans want him to be in.

True, unless he made some changes during the time off. It's been quite a while since we last saw him. I guess a lot of things could have changed by now. Time will tell

  2. It's definetly NOT cool to hate Chinese Democracy. There's nothing cool about it. Not in real life, not in a fan forum. Honestly, I don't even see people "hating" it. Most of the criticism is based on arguments, not silly "it sux!!!" comments. Of course, people will make fun of it sometimes, but that's not the problem. The problem is being so sensitive and passionate about an album.

My favorite album ever is The Fragile by NIN, which Damn_Smooth made fun of recently. U2 is one of my favorite bands, and it gets lots of criticism in this forum. I really don't care if people hate them. I won't try to explain to them why it's great to me. I won't say the album will be appreciated in 20 years. This is blind fanboyism and it's silly.

I guess you should be less sensitive about it then

  3. It was shit when it came out. It's still shit. It will always be shit.

People need to accept that. It's a steaming turd of an album and because of that very few people outside this forum care or even know about.

And because it's such a flop some hipster critics here and there want to be different so badly that they write a positive review about it now.

The fact still is that it's too long, too bloated, too overproduced, too layered, too full of effects, made by a band (name) with no original members left, written by guys that aren't in the band anymore either and from there on ruined further by adding every musician on the northern hemisphere to every track.

    The fact is you're wrong

  4. CD is an amazing album, it has some excellent songs, my problem is that It should not have the GNR name, when Paul McCartney goes in the studio and records, he doens't releases the album as The beatles, When Robert Plant releases an Album, he doesn't uses the Led Zeppelin name. Axl should just get over the GNR name, if he thinks he is a good musician and wants to make music for the fans then he should just use his name and not a name which had Major contributions from other members who made the name famous.

Why can't YOU just get over the name in your own mind?

  5. Huumm treating psychological disorders with a bitch slap ...

How come no one thought about it before?

Maybe because we don't live in the caves anymore?

Maybe because this isn't the middle age?

I don't know ... maybe we should just burn the witch?

Your complete lack of ability to comprehend my post and what I'm a actually saying speaks volumes. Seriously unless you're actually going to try and follow what's being said rather than just jumping to Axl's defines STFU. Nobody needs to hear you overly sensitive defence of Axl Rose. Especially when you purposely misinterpret what's being said. I mean hopefully you purposely misinterpreted me because if you didn't......wow. Not the sharpest crayon in the box I guess.

Never mind this Bono, he's just an 80's pop singer after all

  6. Axl Rose solo album with all original self penned tunes would be the ultimate trip for Christmas 2015

He did start on one in 94

Slash - Um Tell you truth, Duff's solo album Gilby's doing one, it's pretty much finished. That's basically it. I don't have any plans to do I don't think Axl You do have one.

Axl - I'm hoping to I'm trying to put a project together that is kind of a top-secret weapon right now."

Any ideas if any material from that project made it on to CD?

My guess is no. I have this idea it was a Trent Reznor kind of project.

That would be my guess too - I think that's about the time he was big into Trent/NIN.

I have no idea what happened to that I'm afraid. I think that quote is the only time I have heard about it

  7. The feud GNR-Nirvana was a big deal in the 90's so it's obvious they were going to use it to promote this film.

Kurt Cobain was a drug addict and that's all there is to him. He found in Axl a way to appear 'cooler than cool' and solidify the grunge culture of "I don't give a fuck about anything and u can go fuck yourself".

I don't know why he thought he was much different from Axl.

I feel the same way. I loved Nirvana's albums, but his hating on Gn'R was so obviously a gimmick.

Or, maybe, he just didn't like Axl and what the Ilusions era GnR stood for?

Just because we all love GnR's music doesn't mean that the rest of the world idolizes Axl as well.

You dont have to repeat yourself in every post about how not everybody likes Axl. We know.

I'm not stupid or an idiot as you may think.

And what you're saying doesn't contradict what we are saying. It is obvious he didn't like Axl's lifestyle, he was against it and he used all that to feed and fuel the grunge movement.

It's neither good or bad, it's just the way it is.

Simmer down, you get so riled up over everything.

I was replying to the person I replied to - not to you.

Who said you were stupid or an idiot?

You guys think Kurt had an agenda. I think he was just being honest.

PEOPLE - not every debate has to be an argument. Jeez. It's OK to have a friendly disagreement.

PEOPLE - not every debate has to be an argument. Jeez. It's OK to have a friendly disagreement." That's another thing you keep repeating. I mean come on. I think I will post Axl is the greatest ever singer in every thread from now on

Try and stick to the actual facts, and to what people actually say. Thanks.

Impossible. These people never learn. They're allergic to facts.

Where did I say Kurt has an agenda?

    Weird argument, but OK.

Thankfully, you aren't in charge of what people can and can't post.

If you think I repeat myself, or you don't like what I post - here is a simply solution. Put me on ignore?

I can't really say anything about your posting history, as this is the first time I've ever noticed your screen name or who you are. I love it when somebody has anger issues about me and I have no idea who they are.

Here is a friendly suggestion though - maybe try and keep your posts related to the actual topic instead of just attacking other forum members? And maybe realize that not everybody is going to agree with you and it's nothing to get boiled up over.

    Lol Apollo,

Your ignore suggestion you keep repeating as well. I have nothing against your views and opinions, but an honest question: Why the need to keep repeating it?

One album in 23 years, bro.

Everybody on here repeats themselves constantly. For some reason you chose to call me out on it, when every regular posters does the same thing. :shrugs: It is impossible to talk about a band that is as inactive as GnR is without repeating yourself.

AND, something you might not have thought of, is that I'm not talking to the SAME PERSON in every conversation. I might tell you that I love CD today - and then be in a completely different topic six months from now having a discussion with a different person - does that mean I can't tell that NEW person that I love CD?

Your complaint would really only make sense if you were talking about the same topic with the same people in it. But you are pulling your info from 100s of topics that involve conversations with a 100 different people.

I like a lot of your posts Apollo, and I agree with a lot of what you're saying. I just find the endless repeating over and over again unnecessary. At least think about it. Maybe you can become an even better poster than what you are at the moment. I didn't pick on just you, but that has been deleted now. I guess you missed it?

    PEACE :)

You quoted me so I think you are talking to me as well. If you don't want me to reply then don't quote me. (I'm gonna reply anyway if it has to do with what i previously said)

You didn't SAY I am stupid or an idiot by you imply it when you come to "remind us" that Axl is not idolized by everyone.

Why do you have to remind us about it? Do you SERIOUSLY think we think that way?

I don't think Kurt had an agenda. I never said he did. I said he saw in Axl the representation of what he didn't like about rocknroll and picked him as a target of his mockeries and jokes to teach his followers how uncool it was to be like Axl and how cool it was to be grunge.

    I'm not argueing, I'm debating.

It's all cool with you and you know it but don't play games with furry crazy animals like me ;)

I just wanna rub your little tummy!!!!!

I was replying to the LAST person in a line of quotes - I don't know how to erase all the prior ones, if the last person is quoting other people.

    Just what I did. Hmmmm....

  10. Just because we all love GnR's music doesn't mean that the rest of the world idolizes Axl as well.

Well said. People usually forget that.

And they can't have a normal discussion with people about Axl without getting angry and resorting to name calling. It's weird.

You and I disagree on the quality of CD. I think it's awesome, you don't. But we don't sit around and insult each other about it. I don't take great personal offense because you don't like something that Axl did, like I'm a relative of his or something.

Yeah, ever since I joined this forum you have expressed your love for CD and I have express my disappointment and dissatisfaction. According to the lunatics too afraid of discussing the facts, we should have teared each other's apart, but we haven't. Weird.

Try and stick to the actual facts, and to what people actually say. Thanks.

Why are you asking me? Where did I say you said that?

I expect quality posts from now on.

    I didn't ask you

  14. I don't know if Axl has a bipolar or borderline disorder, and being honest, I don't care. All I know is that he's a big disappointment and a joke.

You did diagnose him with ocd though not long ago:

"I have said the same thing but people always confuse being a perfectionist with being a OCD paranoid. Axl is definitely the latter.

If you think about it. He's very similar to Howard Hughes."http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?/topic/210298-axl-perfection-dilemma-lyrics-vs-instrumental-vs-voice/page-2

Yes. Do you know who Howard Hughes is? Axl has always reminded of him. People thought he was a perfectionist but he suffered from a severe case of OCD.

Yes of course I know who he is although I didn't watch the movie about him. I mean yeah they probably got some similarities, I was just pointing out that you gave him a diagnosis.

  16. I don't get this. "The smugglers would ruin a lot of people´s lives" They wouldn't, the cunts who chose to do heroin would.

I don't understand the reason to call drug addicts "cunts", but it's a vicious circle. Those "cunts" who tried to smuggle drugs from a country to another did it because they wanted to. They knew what they were doing.

In the case of the Filipino woman that's open for discussion. A lot of people think she didn't know she smuggled the drugs

  17. Lol yet another diagnosis on this forum. So he's now bi polar, ocd, borderline disorder, narcissist personality disorder...what else?

He may not hate Slash that much anymore, he just doesn't want anything to do with him. Why does he have to make friends with someone just because 20 years have passed? Is there a time limit involved?
