You have 'absolutely no idea' how your dismissal of philosophy(higher thinking, ethics etc) has 'any' relevance when the topic is those very things? Fucking hell.

"My thoughts on A.I. are; does it amuse people/bring them joy? if so, I'm all for it and actually this means I'm pro-humanity. " Fucking hell.

Anyone who's perplexed about how lip syncing relates to this is braindead imo and I'm just not going to bother explaining that.

I mention fat positivity because it too is a self-absorbed, misguided, unhealthy, ugly perspective that affects more than the individuals who feel that way. Similar to this topic, there seems to be an insidious pseudo-intellectual attempt to cobble together a defense when it and its defense are unworthy of respect.

If you've given up and want to feel as positive as you can about being 500lbs then alright fair enough but be decent enough to accept the realities that come with that like you probably shouldn't have priority in hospital waiting lists, normal people will feel an element of disgust etc etc.

If you get joy from going to lip synced concerts then fair enough but be decent enough to accept that's rather cringe and you're a bit of a tourist/phony.

If you're into A.I. art and not into thinking that much, maybe be gracious enough to have some self-awareness and not dismiss the concerns of people who actually do know how to think.

    what is this LMAO

If you heard your own voice speaking to your loved ones one day, how would you feel?

We all know that most probably Axl has been artistically impotent since long time now and there's probably no hope seeing new music but I don't want to turn into a consumerism zombie that doesn't care the authenticity of the music he listens to.

    That's my opinion.

let's just call it a 'musical viagra'

Hmmm, I think I hear the sound of Team Brazil speeding by in their GNAir-plane with the copyright strike gun, locked and loaded.

    ...

anyway, I haven't heard any dramatic rock vocals being mimicked, yet. but with the speed that AI voice generation is advancing, i think it's only a matter of time (months? years?) until someone tries feeding Axl's voice or an Axl-soundalike to an AI capable of doing custom note creating and delivering...

I reckon rock vocals like Axl's might take longer for AI to master because they're so dramatic, and Axl has numerous ways he can choose to deliver a certain line. (soft? loud? raspy? clean? and all those notes, and the emotion behind it general)

By the time AI can successfully copy all of Axl's voice and mannerisms Terminator style, there might be laws stopping that.

if there isn't, it's slightly creepy isn't it? imagine growing old, but the ghost of your own voice when you were young is now doing new things on its own, controlled by other people. it's intriguing no doubt though.

even though i don't care if it's ethically correct or not, i think it's beyond our control, it's happening wether we like it or not... it's the internet afterall. i just wonder if those things I mentioned are possible with current technology

  3. SO, I've seen some AI generated vocals on Twitter the other day, mostly pop artists (yk people that stay relevant in the music scenario), ie lady gaga singing lana del rey songs, etc. Then I wondered if this could be done to Axl vocals to a bunch of ideas came to mind.

    - Axl vocals for leaked instrumental CD songs (idk if this specifically could be possible, because I think the AI models that I saw work on pre-existent recorded vocals of some other artist)

    - Make Axl sound great again in post 2010 concerts?

    - Make Axl cover really good songs IE Tiny Tim - Tiptoe Through the Tulips?

    - New songs?

Anyway, I'm sure all GNR fans are totally not nerd IT guys with no free time to spare at all, but could anyone solve these really important questions for me?

I get maybe making a side comment if the mix isn't your cup of tea, but my God folks, change the channel already. The song is dope AF.

I mean, a lousy mix can, and it will, destroy a good song. But I like it on this one. I can hear everything very clear in my ears, and it gets me paying attention to only one instrument at several points during the song, which is good.

I did a quick scrub through.

I wonder how Axl would sound if he weren't fat and he had a vocal coach.

The mid range razor is there. Chinese, Easy, etc. It's a bit of a side-mouth thing but it works.

Slash is dreadful. Off key, sloppy, no body to the sound. The Blue Haired Wonder is terrible.

Frank and Fortus carrying this operation on their back doe.

    More CD-era leaks, please.

    He has a vocal coach.

people really are waiting on TB's response to this epidemy?

GNR is a rock band. they play music.

I find it funny how every time there's something unusual happening in the world, people expect GNR to offer "their take" on it.

it's like one of those B list 80s action movies. "Robocop, do you have a message for the kids at home?" "stay out of trouble"

here's a thought. For condolence and support, why not talk to your partner / friends or something? Don't tell me you only have GNR in your life.

A trademark, like Guns N' Roses, exerces a social function. This is a very known concept in the marketing business. So, the impact of the trademark decisions is transfered to the public's perception of it. This could generate a positive, or a negative image of them, which directly influences the success of the band. In example, let's say Metallica does a livestream about COVID-19, playing music, talking and being friendly. They'll be much more remembered than GNR, it'll make more headlines, and, thefefore, they'll sell more music/tickets.

Not doing anything is straight up bad management.
