That was UYI tour Izzy. That's why I don't understand why people want him back so badly. He used to just fake his way through the UYI songs and be barely audible.

Axl: You know, I read something somewhere. Someone was writing an article about my other friends. And they wrote this thing about how 'in the old days, you know, there were lots of problems and technical errors of the band and Izzy couldn't hear himself' [laughing] The reason that Izzy couldn't hear himself - this isn't being mean - is our roadies would stand behind Izzy's amp, 'cause Izzy would be so whacked out of his mind that he would basically be playing a different song in the wrong key, and the only way we could do the songs was that every time he would go to him amps, he would turn his amps up and turn around to the crowd. When he would turn around to the crowd the roadie would reach around and turn his amps back down so that we could play the song. That worked especially well in Tel Aviv [laughter] Just a full tippit there for your Trivia Pursuit [Onstage Boston, December 2002]

Yup many, they tend to take photo ID to obtain the wristband to gain access.

But that wasn't the point of the response, the debate was about whether a festival would ban him or not, not if they would succeed in keeping him out

I think he has managed to achieve this utopic position from his actions

"“I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as one of its members.”

I literally never saw that happen, lol

I used to get into festivals when I was underage because I grew a beard at 16, and I knew they wouldn't give a fuck about IDs

its something im struggling to contemplate

i'd consider seeing adlers appetite to hear the songs as they should sound but we'll see axl getting rasp back is the holy grail so i kind of hold back and wait

    you're missing the point

it's boring for a musician to play the same things that others did 20-30 years ago, and changing it doesn't make the band sound bad

tight? how so he plays independently and does not follow how the songs have been written

he doesn't even do the cow bell on LALD before the axl scream

oh wow, i have bad news for you: slash improvs half his solos, duff doesn't play with a pick anymore, axl doesn't have rasp, and they have 2 keyboardists for AFD songs.

you better quit following the band

A song that's only available via crappy leaked versions and was performed by AXL during a time when his voice was not the same as it once was is your favorite GN'R song? WTF?

Some people strive waaaay to hard to be different. New Era GN'R millennials baffle me....

and some people just have a hard time accepting someone else's valid opinion

ok here's my guesses to what makes this once in this lifetime, which in theory shouldnt qualify for Not in this Lifetime...

guesses are from least likely to most likely to happen

    1. afd5 get back on stage- no chance.  they hate steven and izzy hates them

    2.  new music- nope.  new covers dont count

    3.  deep cuts from UYI- I think there's a 50/50 shot we hear locomotive, bad apples or dust n bones.  sadly, my world still doesn't make the set list but will on the 3,000 leg of the NITL tour.

    4.  Axl lost the "little bo peep" hair doo and brought back the cornrows, or perhaps to the shock of his stylist, switches race haircuts again and goes all out looking like that Gangam Style guy

    5.  an acoustic version of the SEEKER

I was going to say that perhaps the reason for the small venue is so they can do a meet and greet with the fans after, but then I remembered this is GNR and they dont spend time with people they hate (read: Matt Sorum, or GNR fans)

in all honesty the reason this is once in a lifetime is venue size.   that's it.   same set list, outfits, pictures on Instagram from Kat, etc.

i lost it at little bo peep hairdo
