I think that's because the leak included Monsters, so most of the talk was about how much people liked that song, and the surprise about them being switched compared to our expectations and so on. Now that all the excitement and gossip has died down, and the vinyl has released with only TG on it, the focus has shifted to that song alone. As I recall, the general consensus after the leak was "we like Monsters, don't like TG".

    Spot on!

So, I've noticed a strong focus shift on the GnR merch store towards tie-dye (and similar design) track suits and hoodies. Do you guys think this is because GnR thinks their entire fanbase are trailer trash?

Just some example of clothes that will definitely make you the flyest motherfucker in the trailer park:

🤣 You sound like my brother. I immediately screenshotted this shit and sent it to him.

Been a GN'R fan for 36 years, and I think "The General" is easily one of the ten worst songs the band has ever officially released. Seems like everyone's trying to polish a turd here, but that's what the song is: a turd.

Wasn't everyone kind of expecting something epic? Based on the urban legends of the song, it should have been something on a grand scale like Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir". Instead, we get a song that sounds distorted, with repetitive lyrics ( "don't know what to tell you now", over and over). We waited 25 years for THIS?

Just ditch the whole industrial rock/nu metal garbage, and go back to making rock and roll music.

🤣 I disagree that it's a turd, but I totally understand your sentiments.

I would imagine State of Grace and Monsters are the next two tracks after The General. A completed State of Grace would be a nice single.

I'd be super cool with that! State of Grace really grew on me. The high notes at the end are awesome!

I do too....I happen to think lyrics and vocal wise, it's probably the most complete song and I wonder what it sounded like in 2008 since it was taken off Chinese at the last moment (plus Bumble versions etc)...I think it forms a themed trilogy with Catcher and Perhaps....connected with Brian May solos too...

Yeah, I think with a little tinkering they could've easily completed it. To me, it's a simple song, but Axl's voice is so good on it.

Enjoy! While it may not “technically” be the best GNR show I’ve seen from 2006-now, the atmosphere was insane, excited and tense. And to see that version of the band perform, and to be there for the debut of 3 more new ChiDem tracks? There was a lotta hope in the air for the future, the IMMEDIATE future.

Thank you! I'm going to review it on my YouTube channel after I watch it. I'm jealous you were there and got to see that lineup!

There's no point in filling an already dark and depressing world with negativity...your a big fan and your enthusiasm is infectious...keep the videos up and whoaaaa dude! It's 2023 and I think we just got The General live? Shut up!  Atlas / Monsters next? Extended EP, double Christmas dip incoming?

Thank you! I'd be super happy to get Atlas Shrugged. I've seen a lot of people that weren't too impressed with it, but I really dig it.
