They were on at Glastonbury and before they played it said "this one was covered by Guns N Roses". Pause. No-one cheered and they just went into it.
That's awkward. 😂

So this is what the forums have became of? Talking about Whether axl mispronounced a name on purpose or not?
Crazy, I remember when people use to go to shows to rock out & have a good time, & not Overanalyze something that was said in tongue & cheek.
Right I'm just over here like "I couldn't care less about that" 🤣

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but I think Axl's mid-range is shot, however I think that he can still really belt out some good high notes. I bet losing some of that weight has really paid dividends in that area. His high notes on There was a Time gave me goosebumps and seriously put such a smile on my face. I really hope that they bust this song out when they come to my show in Florida.

Axl still smokes cigarettes, didn't know that
I'm curious where you saw a cigarette in that post. I didn't see anything.

Does anyone know if there's any chance of Guns Glastonbury full set being put on YouTube at some point?
Cheers.
I bet people have tried, but they have been taken down immediately due to copyright. I'm hoping that after some time goes by, it will be allowed on YouTube. I agree about avoiding torrents and the free VPN shit.

I was just going to make a thread about this. 😂 As somebody who has lived in Florida my entire life and saw them at the Citrus Bowl in 2016, I was especially excited to watch this. I was born in 1997, so I always thought to myself that this is one of the shows I would've definitely gone to if I were older. I have a few thoughts. First of all, I never realized that The Lion Sleeps Tonight intro had altered lyrics to fit the GNR theme. 😂 As for the actual show, I love how upset Axl gets with the audio issues during Welcome to the Jungle. That is classic old GNR. Seeing Axl pop off was part of the extra added bonus of buying a ticket back then. The funniest part about the whole video was definitely the panties getting thrown on stage, caught on Axl's mic and flipping in his face during It's So Easy right when he screams, "Fuck off!" I also thought the horns section sounded great during Live and Let Die. I hope the rest of the show sees the light of day!!!

This whole thing was super surreal to me as NASCAR was my first ever favorite sport, Guns N' Roses is my favorite band of all-time and I'm an avid NASCAR diecast collector. I immediately bought the 1:64 scale and 1:24 scale even though they won't arrive until later in the year. My t-shirt already came in the mail. Oh, yeah, and I was also lucky enough to go to that particular Daytona 500 in person. You can see the car in a vlog that I made if you'd like. https://youtu.be/JJpDmpLnOCc

I remember staying up to watch that concert live on my computer and being so disappointed with the whole thing.

Seriously..
I like that they have shaken up the start of the show a bit.. I don't think they have played anything but CD in the number 3 slot for the last 6 years.. Then all of a sudden within the last 4 shows they threw Jungle and Slither into that spot.
Yeah, I feel like they shook that up a few times on this past tour.

I'm assuming they're pushing it to coincide with the fact it's featured in the new Thor film.
However, if I was a Marvel fan curious about Guns N Roses after watching the film, I think my interest in Guns N Roses would be quite firmly killed by this video.
Sure, this is one of Axl's best performances of SCOM since the reunion, but it's still completely unlistenably awful on its own merits.
Yeah, I totally understand where you're coming from.

Just a quick video I made on the boxset.

This is so random for them to upload. It's not like this particular performance was outstanding by any means. The only real noteworthy aspect of it was that Axl's voice definitely did sound different as if the vocal chord damage was already starting to happen.

Looks like a great show!
It's a shame they didn't play TWAT. Pattern broken.
I still can't believe some fans genuinely thought there was a correlation between Dublin and There was a Time.

Imagine playing 28 songs and it being considered a short setlist by some fans.

I wrote it under the video: Soundgarden for me.
That's funny you say that. I'm actually going through Soundgarden's entire discography right now.

Interesting thread! I gotta put Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave up there for me. Definitely the first couple that came to my head immediately.

Couldn't make it quite out, but I believe Axl said before HS: "Here's a new song, I wrote it about 20 years ago".
Which is also crazy because he actually wrote it more than 20 years ago.
