It's the Axl songs that took GNR to another level.

It's Axl's personality that screwed GNR , (and NuGR) but Slash fucked up too. There are no saints amongst the 5 of them. But the way it's been put in the past that Axl was the only responsible, the bad guy etc. was very different from truth.

The band shouldn't have fired Steven, instead tried to help him at least.

GNR ended as a band after Steven was fired (which does not mean he deserves his place back more than as a guest) but the band presented as GNR afterwards was as good as GNR - until 1993.

I'd like a new album but believe it will be shit.

Half CD + Leftovers/leaks are better than most UYI tracks.

Slash and Duff remain in GNR only because it's convenient to them. But they were right when some of them said GNR was Axl's solo project.

It also amazes me how a stupid, uneducated, low IQ individual as W. Axl Rose was able to be the mastermind of  roughly 20 out of the 30 songs I like/hear the most I'd say.

I am wondering why you would classify Axl as "stupid" and a "low IQ individual" because this statement seems quite bold to be honest !

Tried to embed it ...didn't work out unfortunately.

It was really a joint according to the people who were there and apparently Duff looked really surprised.

It was filmed in Vancouver during the 2017 tour by the way.

So there wasn’t a single word spoken from the stage by Axl or anyone regarding it being the last show of the tour? Nothing said about a new chapter coming soon or anything like that? Just a bow at the end and everyone walking off into the darkness like every other night? I was hoping for at least a mysterious cryptic comment of some sort or something...

So now what? Another radio silence/ into the wilderness period, or what? Hopefully a comment or hint from Slash before too long about the near future...

Axl thanked the band, crew and fans during Knocking On Heavens Door. But he did not talk about the future of the band.

What time have they been taking the stage at 7:30pm start times during NITL?

The start time in Gelsenkirchen last year was at 7.30 PM and they were really punctual as far as I can remember. I'm pretty sure there were more shows when they started at 7.30 PM,

You should've seen some of the absolutely horrific Nightrain performances from 2018. There were a good few shows where Axl totally blew it.

That might be true ...  :)

I just thought it was surprising that he was having problems with this song after he sang it really well in the past consecutive nights.

In my view slash has the highest power and without him this tour would not have had the attendance and being the money making machine it has. If he is making 500k per show he is money well spent.

If slash walks the tour goes kaboom. Axl will be having DJ back in the band.Slash having seprate mgt and counsel is very smart.

That's an interesting and possibly accurate way to see things.

My question was more about the actual business perspective though....e.g who is running this band and makes the final decisions.

The Big Three might be equal in terms of making all the decisions after Slash and Duff joined.

No. TB pulls all sorts of shit that Axl had no idea about.

A couple of reasons, the biggest being that @downzyhad made it clear we're not going to allow any of that here.

Edit- it's also worth noting that the same document leaked years ago. It's all incredibly out of date info that may or may not have been accurate in the first place.

Do you think that TB has a higher / the highest power of the band in general compared to the actual band members ? I always thought that Axl would be the actual "boss" (along with Slash and Duff possibly ) since he hires and pays them and TB considers him as their authority as well...

Been a fan of this band for many years but the relationship between this band and the management is a little complicated as it seems and everyone here seems to view things differently...so I am grateful for some clarification :)

Well, I guess I’m alone on this one. I don’t think that Axl is their hostage and he’s also not a saint. Yes, it seems that TB does everything to please him, but I absolutely do not believe that they make this very important decisions without him knowing about it, especially because he loves having control. Axl is a pretty smart guy and it’s a very comfortable position for him having someone to publicly take the blame for every bad decision that GNR makes.

I can relate to your explanation because it is a little confusing to me why a man who apparently likes being in control would be "enslaved " by his management team.I remember how he made fun of people believing that he's "enslaved by a Brazilian family" during an interview in 2016.
