Axl said in early 2001 that Slash was still welcome to come back, so I'm guessing between the VHS/DVD cancellation and Slash showing up at the New Year's show, the rift was solidified between them for good

I wonder if Slash and Duff actually watched the VHS/DVD or if they just refused to sign off in principle

I think there were also troubles with this with Apettite for Democracy, a lot of theaters were announced for it on March 2014 and it wasn't released until July. I called a local cinema and they told me the proyection was cancelled due to distribution rights.

Meanwhile, this represents his ability to hit high notes. In general. Listen at 1:15. And the same part at any Maddy been played so far.

 

TIL sounded beautiful for me in Madrid 2017, but it was crap in Madrid 2018, Axl almost did not use rasp in the song and he struggled to reach the high notes, while in 2017 he nailed it

I think I read it was compressed on porpouse by the guy who gave it to the leaker so he would know if it was his version the one that was leaked. What I have is a 720p (obviously fake) youtube rip, apparently the original compressed file (the original file that was uploaded to youtube before being compressed more by youtube) is also circulating, but I don't have it. Apparently it comes from an vhs copy, not from a DVD.

I've been at row ~ 10-13 on both shows I attended. For Madrid '17 I had standard golden circle and waited outside since like 3 hours before guns. For Madrid '18 I arrived there when the band that came before Bullet for my Valentine was playing (I also like Bullet, so everything fine). For me it was a good spot, as the stage is tall and the monitors and the Nightrain trumpets give you less view if you are near. The closest I've been was Slash with MK&C at Nice 2015. I got row 2 after a moshpit, tried to sneak into row 1, but a fat french man yelled at me, so I had to abort mission

I've even would have been happy if they had given me only 2 strikes or at least the ifpi had answered to my emails.

But no, they had to give me a strike for a +20 years old broadcast ripped from an vhs (Paris 92) and another for an old bad quality demo (Ain't going down). And when I thought I was safe after putting some videos on private, I got a 3rd strike for uploading Argentina 93 in 2016. Then it was over. R.I.P my channel

Yeah, highlight of the show for Axl along with Slither and Wichita Lineman. 

But he did very bad in some other songs like This I Love (he nailed it in Madrid 2017) or YCBM. This time the mickey voice was way more noticeable when he used it (most of the show), there were also volume changes on Axl, he sounded lower when he used the mickey voice.

Sound wasn't too loud, the mix was very bad at the beggining (same for Bullet for my Valentine), but improved as the show went on.

Yeah, we kept singing chants all the time. Axl played a few notes of november rain, then stopped, everybody shouted, then repeated the process 2 more times. He looked happy and waved to fans from the front stage or jumped trying to mimic the fans. Crowd went literaly crazy during Welcome To The Jungle. Also, as the show went on more or les 6 people fainted and had to be evacuated (nothing serious)

Stinkfest 2019!! Nah, as I said before apparently there's trouble with a water purification plant, people who went to Download Madrid 2017 claim it didn't smell like that.

People say that also a pipe broke in the neighbourhood.

Yeah, it smelled bad, but no so bad for having to wear things over your nose. I found it weird when I saw Beta on the side of the stage talking with a guy with his mouth and nose covered. Beta wasn't wearing anything, same for Grace McKaggan and her band, who were also on the side of the stage, they were not wearing anything.

Apparently there are troubles with a nearby water purification plant. Only main stage 2 smelled like that. I was all the time at main stage 1 and in the mechandise tents inside the magic box and it smelled good, I only noticed it nearby main stage 2 (sometimes there were bits of weed smell on main stage 1). 

Btw, 16:9 bigs screens, so if anyone can film them and make a bootleg...

Tomorrow is the day, don't know how I'll be able to resist 45' of BFMV and 3h30mins of guns with that sun hitting.

Yeah, the fireworks and that can be cool, but Axl sounds bad on it, that's why I think that they'll start the broadcast with ISE or Jungle like they did with Iron Maiden in 2016 (they started the broadcast with Speed of Light, and Bruce sounded perfect on that one, a hit like The Number of the Beast is a bad choice, because band is more tired as the show goes on and Bruce sounds bad on that one).

Also, Paradise City was broadcasted last time Guns went to Download, that performance was way better than this and I doubt they'll repeat the same song.

Nobody watched the Golden Gods...we barely made it through the 3 hour show here waiting for Axl.

Funny, because 3 songs were uploaded to Revolver's channel but quickly removed. After that, Jungle and PC were re-broadcasted on palladia with Axl's voice tweaked to max sounding like on Apettite for democracy. Can't imagine what would have happened if it had been fully broadcasted on vh1 and other places as it was initially announced instead of that shit quality stream
