How many times has Guns played RIR?  I know they played in '91 and it was really good but since then it seems like it's been a mini disaster

    1991, 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2017

In rio 2006 his voice wasn't the best, semi-mickey and bad sound mix. (Tommy smashes his bass before jungle solo and goes off stage, maybe due to sound troubles)

The mix from the tv broadcast wasn't too bad, but the mix from the webcast was awful (Pitman louder than Axl, Bumblefoot's guitar muted during his don't cry solo...).

Luckily that bootleg isn't as common as RAR, where he did a killer performance and that's why most people like 2006.

As you can see, it wasn't his best show

Is this the one where one song has extra fireworks badly edited in? I think it might be when the main riff kicks in on WTTJ.

Yes, the show was shot in 3D, so they added cgi pyro for that (the blu ray lets you watch it in 3D if you have one of those famous tvs from 2010-2014)

It was also proyected in some US theaters and guess what...its release almost got cancelled at the last minute

They used to play It's So Easy, Brownstone, Used to Love Her and Paradise City in standard tunning with Velvet Revolver.

Only during 2004-2005 tour, I guess because they just didn't want to carry  2 guitars for each tuning. During the 2007-2008 tour they went half step down (I guess because of Scott's voice or for having a different sound, some bands like The Offspring or Bon Jovi play in lower tunings live than on albums).

Never liked how guns sound in standard tuning, I hated how Ac/dc sounded half step down, didn't like VR half step down

  4. Bad performance, full mickey, all the comments were negative, never understood why they uploaded it, as the official YT channel is the most used way by casual fans and possers.

Today I was looking for it and to my suprise it was deleted, the other vides from Apettite for Democracy are still there.

Maybe because it was giving the band a bad image? Maybe because of shame? Who knows, but as you can see tha video isn't there anymore

god i hope not.. seeing them live is one thing, sounds good. On tape, Axl sounds awful on SCOM, You Could Be Mine, PC, Coma, pretty much anything with vocal range. When all is said and done i don't want Live Era and a NITL tour album to be their live collection..

They released AFDemocracy which has basically that, I think there was also a cd edition, luckily it isn't on shops or spotify, that would have ruined everything, but they uploaded You Could Be Mine from that show to YouTube, I think that was a very bad decision

Axl Rose, more than any other artist I know (maybe Morrisey), doesn't want the kind of attention or infamy that would come with a movie. Even if it was a great movie, pulled off with great intentions, he would find something objectionable and uncomfortable.  This is a guy who worries how someone is going to present him in every line of every interview, he would never cooperate with a movie.

I guess he would have done it in the late 80s/early 90s, if I'm not wrong, the band appears on a 1988 film and they also did the YCBM video with Arnold, that would have been impossible with today's Axl, same for his tv appearences.

  7. I got Wichita at download Madrid, it felt as an "Axl highlight song" along with This I Love (which was awful at that show). I liked it, Axl sang it fine and crowd seemed to like it

That would work, the vocals are mid range so would be fairly easy to sing. The band could do an extended bit at the end to give Axl a breather.

Bring back the 976 horns too, lol

No please, not another extended version, we have enough with Rocket Queen

  8. Yeah, I've seen things like that in some stores. The masterplan version of chicago 92 (the bad quality one with the mp logo that ends after coma) can be seen in some big shops. A friend of mine had a DVD called "Bad Obsession" that was basically select songs from Tokyo 92 with lower quality. I even once received as a Christmas gift one of those dvds from AC/DC that was basically made from bootleg vhs rips and had to return it as I felt it as a fraud

i got the email from Roadrunner records via the Slash store. You get it if you pre-order the album or if you scroll down there's a link to get pre-sale without buying.Slash-Preorder-Desktop-01.jpg

                                                                                                                                                                                                     here ^^^^^^^^:slash:

It says "for early access to UK Slash tickets" so I'll guess I'll have to find another way. Thanks anyway

  10. I don't like what I've heard from the new album too much, but I guess I'll go. Last time I went to WiZink Center sound was fantastic, so I hope it improves from the shitty sound the had at Nice 2015

@Lio i payed 44€ in 2015, I still have the ticket in my room, so yes, prices have increased

For those asking for vip tickets, looks like there won't be. In past tours some people claimed to get autographs waiting for Slash after the show. In my case we were like 100 people waiting for him and the security guy said he wasn't going to sign.

He went out very quickly to the tour bus with Myles next to him (he said "Hey guys"). The guy next to me was able to touch his arm.

And forget about pictures, Slash doesn't like to take pictures, I've heard that in some shows security guys told waiting fans to make a row to get the autograph and also told them that if anyone took a picture it would be over

  11. Live at Donington, great sound and picture! I have that one on blu-ray

Let there be rock is also cool

No bull has bad audio and Brian's voice is not at his best. But the crowd, Angus, and the show are wild. Sound improved a bit on the 2008 re-release.

Stiff Upper Lip live is also cool, but Brian has troubles reaching some high notes (I really dislike thunderstruck from that show).

Circus krone is pretty cool. Apparently the show almost got cancelled because of the huge heat due to fans not working. Half of the show is available in 1080i from a tv broadcast, don't know why they did not realease this one and Stiff Upper Lip live in blu ray.

And finally, live at river plate. I really disliked this one when it came out, because I couldn't stand AC/DC playing half step down. Malcolm Young almost has no distortion on his guitar, and Brian sounds muddy for me on some songs (on some songs like Dirty Deeds his low falsetto is awful)

Let There be Rock is awesome!  Great performances!  I love how Angus gets so exhausted from running around that he needs to get oxygen!  I had to get this on Blu Ray.  Great sound and picture, for how old it is!  I would love to get an entire pro-shot concert from '80 or '81.  Not sure if any exist.

Tokyo 81 and Landover 81. Landover exists in really good quality, but only 2 songs were released with that quality (Plug me In DVD). Other songs from the show were broadcasted on tv in high quality. The only full video of the show has awful quality
