To be honest I don't think there needs to much promotion just now especially with how ticket sales are going but it would be nice to have some sort of interview to read/listen to. I think it'll be around mid march before any promotion starts and interviews being done for April edition of rock magazines. Hopefully tour dates start coming out too. 

The only thing that's frustrating is the secrecy of the line up. It looks like it's going to be the hybrid line up with izzy and steven guest appearing so why not just announce it. They don't need to advertise it as axl slash and duff because that's the only people that's going to get the publicity from a hybrid line up anyway. 

I think with slash and duff there there will be a new album I don't see money as the main reason for them getting together again. 

I said before we know a reunion was in the works for over a year now and in that time slash has come up with new material with conspirators so maybe there was a few songs from there slash kept aside with GNR in mind. Same goes with duff and izzy's recordings maybe a few songs came from those sessions. Axl has had plenty of time to come up with a few songs too. Because we don't know all the tour dates planned for this year it's hard to see when would be the best time to work on an album. I'm still going to be optimistic for now for new music 

I think the hybrid line up will be the way forward for 2016 and probably beyond with Adler and izzy making appearances here and there. 

But I've been wonderering recently if frank and fortus are full time this year then making way for the original 5 + dizzy next year. Maybe izzy is testing the water before fully committing and Adler will have to prove himself to the rest of the band first about staying sober and keeping his mouth shut.

I'm going to be optimistic about new music for now. We know that the "regrouping" has been planned for the last year or so. In that time slash has come up with new material with the conspirators and duff and izzy recorded songs together so maybe there's songs from there that have been put aside with GNR in mind. Then there's axl he's had about 18 months to come up with a few songs. Throw in 2 or 3 songs that might've been considered for CDII ( if they exist) then there's about a12 track album. I don't think an album would affect where they tour 

Great news !! I'm just glad coachella isn't the first gigs they're doing. I didn't like the thought of them playing in front of people that aren't all GNR fans at least it'll be a great atmosphere. Hope uk dates will follow soon

Ive been a fan of GNR since 92 and would love to see matt in the lineup. Slash/duff/matt have been playing together on and off for 25 years which I thought would go in matt's favour. But I suppose there's a simple reason he seems to be out. It's not a reunion.

T/B and GNR have never said it's a reunion so I suppose there's no need to have a line up made up of old members it seems axl wants GNR to continue if all goes well. I think axl said to slash and duff that if they come back it will be as replacements in the line up but obviously with equal partnership.

Given it'll still be seen as a reunion it's only fair Adler Matt and Izzy get some guest spots. I think part of the deal will be matt gets the job if things go wrong with frank

I don't see CD songs getting played at the festivals but with the stadium gigs lasting longer I reckon there'll be some played

As for back for good it'll be far too early to plan that far ahead. Personally I'm hoping for a new album and world tour in 2017 then I think axl will retire

It might not have been the best photo of axl but at least it's encouraging that he looks like he's making an effort to get ready for the reunion. I think we'll see a better sounding axl I don't think axl would go ahead with a reunion if he didn't think he could pull it off he knows he'll need to raise his game. I suppose believing he can do and actually doing are totally different

Holy shit.. Just caught up with everything over the past couple days while ive been on vacation. Crazy to think Axl will be live on our TV sets in less then a week.

I dont know who is going to be apart of the lineup, but whatever they do, i hope they open with Pretty Tied Up. Alot of people dont like/over look that song. If Axl is still singing like he did a year and a half ago, i feel like he could belt it out in a lower register. Just think. You see Ferrer/Sorum/(doubt it, but)Steven behind the kit and you hear the cymbals and then you hear the first note ring out and you see Fortus/Izzy/Gilby on the side of the stage, then Slash comes in with those first notes, you hear "The Perils of Roccckkkkkk and Roll decadenceeeeeee" but you cant see Axl yet, Duff strolls put playing that first bass line, the band kicks in and Axl comes running out stomping his foot and grabing on to Duffs shoulder. Oh man. Just thinking about it gives me goose bumps. Never thought this forum would see the day this would happen..

Anyone going to the NYE show with Slash tonight? Cant imagine Slash will get through it without some drunk from the crowd asking about Axl... Plus it might be a special show. Hell, it might even be the last SMKC show for years if this GNR thing takes off!

Hi guys first time poster here but I've been a regular reader for the last 2 years but it's a great time to start.

On the line up I'm hoping for sorum seen how Adler will probably only guest. I would like to see izzy there as well but I can't see it being anymore than a couple of shows. But whatever the line up is it's good times ahead
