Absolutely not.
Duff and Slash coming back have nothing to do with TB. And there was nothing TB could have done to stop it, especially if Axl is into it.
If anything they have alot to prove in that they can handle this beast accordingly.
-
Axl was doing all that past life regression therapy at the time but!!! I think he must have also been doing other stuff by the sounds of it! have lsd? crows flying out of Slash?.
And on an other note, anyone related to that documentary is now 100% on the Axl "I hate these people lists". Hopefully it's a balanced documentary and not like behind the music... not looking good!
haha, I think you're right. unfortunately, Marc Canter is part of the Documentary, his footage of the early days is on there plenty, and he mentioned that he hopes it isnt an Axl bashing fest. I think if that is the case, he's gonna be deep in Axl's shit list just by association
-
I agree as well. If they're gonna make an album, they should do it right. If Axl wants old stuff incorporated into the new album, so be it, but do it right, redoit, dont put out a subpar frankenstein album

hahahaha. damn, they had one job, and they throw in a Matt Sorum picture where Izzy's recent photo should be
just straight garbage top to bottom from the mirror
-
Cool stuff. I hope Sorum will guest at a GNR gig sometime in the future
-
Good for him. It makes total sense

Stub hub has a bunch of tickets, of course the prices right now are insane. but they may cool off on the prices as they sit in the next few weeks/months

So I have been trying to get tickets all day from the Citi Card Pre-sale. I am not flying to Vegas to sit in the nose bleeds. There are still tickets left and I would have thought they would sell out in minutes. Most of the tickets that were sold were just bought by scalpers and "ticket agencies" and were just immediately posted on stub hub.. I know we are all excited but I hear a lot of people outside these forums talking about the ticket prices and saying things like "Maybe if Izzy was there I'd pay that", "Axl sounds like shit", "I'm not paying that money and have Axl not show up until midnight"... I know people like us would pay a lot but do you think people in general are going to want to? I mean $100 (after charges) for nosebleeds seats in the back is pretty f'n steep. Does anyone think they could really have a successful stadium tour at these prices? I feel like the Stadiums wouldbe half empty. Are the prices higher because it is in Las Vegas?
Early on, only the most loyal, passionate of GNR fans are gonna attend. I think the rest of the people who are on the fence are gonna wait to see what happens in Vegas and Coachella. If they like what they see, they will come.
look, this isnt called the "most anticipated Reunion" for nothing. The demand for this is quite large, even those who badmouth the band will want to get in on it if the shows are good.
There is also still alot of time left for things to happen, 3 months is plenty of time to do some promotion or whatever. And alot of things can change from here til Vegas and Coachella.

Yeesh and people say axl aged badly lmfao
eh, Steven is a good 15 years older than Axl and has a long history of drug/alcohol abuse. plus he was never a particularly good looking dude, whereas at one point Axl was.
Axl just looks a bit older than he should because he gained some weight, if he was 06 skinny, it wouldnt be in issue, but he didnt look in good health in the picture that popped up of him without the handlebar mustache before the new year, so

there are alot of pro shot material on youtube already. Sure they could remaster these tapes and release them to us fans, but I'd much rather see the Perfect crime documentary be put out, than a bunch of UYI concerts that already exist on youtube

Steven T knows better than anyone what it means to break up and reunite. He's not gonna take credit for something that is not as simple as being in Slash's ear to get back with the boys and Do GNR again. He was just one of the many voices saying that they should get back together because that band made some kick ass rock n roll.

Awesome stuff. Heard on the radio this morning in LA. I was probably grinning like an idiot..lol
time to hit the road to Vegas then. GNR in Sin City is gonna be crazy
-
Its gonna be a star studded crowd to see GNR Saturday Night 1 & 2 at Coachella
-
They announced the Vegas show this morning on the radio here in LA on 100.3 the Sounds. pretty cool
I guess im headed to Vegas..lol

Niv is a great interview as always, quite the character.
A couple takeaways for me:
Izzy is allegedly involved in writing with the band, which is good news.
Axl canceling Kimmel has to do with some disagreements allegedly. Not the end of the world, but defintiely par the course with GNR
So all in all, whatever happens within the next few months, we're all in for a crazy ride and hopefully It doesnt all fall apart like it always does and we get to enjoy a killer Rock n Roll show and some tunes.
-
Awesome. thanks for the heads up. Niven is a great interview and is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to AFD era GNR

I'm soo sure ( now even more because of that duff pic) that isn't a random guitar at all. That pic is cooler than must of u think. It should have so much more likes ( i repeat .. I'm 200% sure that's a "gnr years" guitar)
Yes, its a GNR era LP, but dont read that much into it. He's used it alot this past year and previous with the Conspirators, its really not that big a deal.
-
A Skid Row reunion is as unlikely as GNR's was a year ago atm. Its a shame too, that band has been mediocre since Bach left. Maybe him posting an apology on twitter might break the ice a bit and maybe get both sides to meet.
-
Cant Blame Steven for that one. He just wants to relive the good ole days. He probably doesnt even care that there are other GNR albums beside Appetite
Have TB redeemed themselves in the eyes of their critics?

Im going off what history has proven time and again to be true. and that is that no one forces Axl to do something that he doesnt want to. I dont think TB could force him to do anything if he doesnt truly want to. The obvious person who got things rolling is Duff, not TB. TB had no relationship with Slash or Duff prior to them returning so i find it doesnt fit the narrative to say TB had something to do with it
