it was an amazing year for GNR and as a result an amazing year for me too!!

as just recently blessed w/ 2 small children getting a little older (youngest was just over 1 year old) I had the chance to go to these shows...and pamper myself. So for me it was a re-birth if you will...dressing up, going out w/ friends/husband

some pinical moments

1) making out during NR with my hubby in LV...my 12 year old self was in shock! who would've thought?!? 

2) last minute road trip w/ a gf to Detroit to see GNR and managing to get onto the floor (eventho' only purchased bowl tix)...and no we weren't killed and eaten...altho' I did get in a verbal argument w/ a pimp lol

3) Toronto show w/ my hot gfs + sister and dancing all night long

4) going to Buffalo to witness Axl/DC and taken to another dimension while Angus did his thang

I'm so pumped for August!!

TD Place's website doesn't give you a direct number for the box office, instead it's to a ticketing hotline. I called them, and over two days of speaking to three different people, it seems they were only taught to say "we don't give refunds and there's nothing we can do" which is of course total bullshit since Ticketmaster does refunds all the time. They can shove their own policies especially when the Nightrain password didn't work on their site. I decided to test them and say fine, upgrade me to Paradise City so I get the pit tickets anyways. "Sorry we can't do that" is all I got. They don't want extra money either? So finally after an unnecessarily long phone call they told me to call guest services.

Guest services? "Oh no problem here's the direct number to the guy who runs the box office."

Why was that so difficult? In the mean time I verified with Live Nation's fan number that yes, a refund can be done but that technically they can't access TD Place's ticket sales so it needs to be done by them. They too were greatly confused why nobody on TD's ticketing hotline would offer the direct box office number.

The guy I spoke to direct at TD Place said he's got to run it through the promoter (I assume he means Live Nation) and will get back to me ASAP. He was easy to talk to and got it. He was equally confused why nobody would give out his direct number. Basically, this was the TD ticketing hotline:

I've also been bitching on the Nightrain about it. There's already a bitchfest there about how Ottawa's website sucked for the password so it seems I'm not alone.

After all this, I hope to see you guys and girls in the pit!

im trying the same thing now but w/ my montreal ticket--I wonder if they have same policy as you've been thru? But of course since it's Montreal I expect more difficulty.

I purchased Zone 1 on presale (as they had no pit left; I bought it after 30min the presale started as I bought other concert tix and I wasn't 100% sure I'd go to Montreal as well)...then for General Public I ended up getting pit. so Now I have an extra Zone 1 that I'd like to refund.

So far the "customer service" said they don't take refunds. I asked for the Box Office/Guest service # and they said this was it...she checked w/ her supervisor but they gave an excuse like the 1st and 2nd ticket purchase were a few days apart...as if that would make a difference anyways. I explained the 1st was pre-sale, 2nd was general public. 

I will try calling again but I am doubtful...she just told me try to sell it to someone else...

fffff..u guys are seriously not funny...I mean one reference to $$ tour is fine...but after that it gets lame...its pretty pathetic how cynical some of you are.

I think NITL was a good tour name...for the next leg of the tour, I'd go for "in this lifetime"

Minneapolis is on my birthday and last year I spent my birthday in Orlando with my favorite band. Plus that new stadium looks really cool. what tix did people get last min for better $$? I ask b/c I'd be only interested in pit/up close and I don't know if you'd manage to get these spots last min for AT COST?? OR CHEAPER than at cost??

I ask b.c this tour I finally nailed all 3 pit tix whereas last year I got crap tix (even w/ presale)...but one venue was Toronto that was SOLD OUT fast (ok I got floor but still bad view) and the other was Detroit last min (I got crap seats but then gave security $15 and got into the floor w/ a gf so it was pretty amazing)...(went to LV as well, and yea that show was sold out obviously)...

I may try to go to another show last min...

ok so they're being praised for selling 1 Mil tix in 24 hrs but ppl here complaining that the shows ain't selling...so I'm confused...  (I"m wondering how many tix in total do they have to sell...)

OK, I'm pretty sure Duff and Slash did meet and greets while in VR...

I'm not opposed to M&Gs...however, I personally feel like a MAN should pay me to meet me...lol...

no seriously...I've met the band and it was an adventure to meet them and get invited to thier parites...if I had the chance I wouldn't pay to met them but I would definately waste a few hours *trying* to bump into them ...

I have no qualms about bands selling M&Gs either...nowadays they gotta make $$ any way they can!!

ok I'm in Toronto Canada, and when they played here this year it was sold out (I think 1st of all NA dates) and it was very $$ to get tix...

this time around they are playing Buffalo (2 hours away) and I see the venue there is selling pretty ok; all the pit is sold out (unless you get $$ VIP package) and a lot of the good seats are gone. I know a lot of Torontonians will be heading there...so I imagine it'll be a sold out arena. I think Torontonians have a lot of $$ compared to other regions...

However, I'm also going to Ottawa and Montreal and Ottawa still has pit tickets and I can't tell how much of the Montreal tix are sold (as it's a GA outdoor venue)...these two shows are just 2 hours away...I'm thinking they oversaturated this area? (altho' Montreal you'd think would be popular hot spot to go considering the riot)...

I wonder how they've been doing thus far? I guess it's just fan speculation

Anyone want zone 1 (just behind the pit) for Montreal show on Saturday? At cost let me know (I managed to snag pit for myself for that show) ????

oh thank you for the info...I may be taking the train to Montreal...a few Qs if you're able to help...if not, no worries!!...

1) what's the train staition name VIA rail?

2) I'm assuming the subway station is close to the rail system then?

3) do you know if the subway would be working once the show is over (like at midnight still)...do you know what the curfew is for the subway?

4) know of any cheap hotels/motels around there?...I'm searching but I gotta figure out the subway system I guess!

They also dumped my album collection and pointed out I had most of it on CD anyway

They have tons of clippings from other magazines also, some stretching back to 1996ish! There is a review of 117 Degrees!
