It was like $20. Dirt cheap. Its the same as the cover show in that it was too cheap NOT to go. Although in that case your worst case scenario was you got to see an Appetite member.
Well, I'm fucking glad not living near LA

What was the price for canceled Adler show in whiskey?

Well - for dead ones and their families it isn't important if attacker was Ahmad from ISIS or some crazy Billy-Bob redneck. Terrorism is unite enemy of every normal person in the world no matter of its origin...

but the last attacks happened in europe (paris, germany and now belgium).
May 3, 2015: Curtis Culwell Center attack: Two gunmen opened fire outside the Curtis Culwell Center during an art exhibit hosted by an anti-Muslim group called the American Freedom Defense Initiative in Garland, Texas. The center was hosting a contest for cartoons depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad. Both gunmen were killed by police. A Garland Independent School District (ISD) police officer was injured by a shot to the ankle but survived. The attackers, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, were motivated by the Charlie Hebdo shooting in France and the 2015 Copenhagen shooting in Denmark earlier in the year. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant claimed responsibility for the attack through a Twitter post.[95]
June 17, 2015: Charleston church shooting: a mass shooting took place at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The church is one of the United States' oldest black churches and has long been a site for community organization around civil rights. Nine people were killed, including the senior pastor, Clementa C. Pinckney, a state senator. A tenth victim was also shot, but survived. 21-year old Dylann Roof was arrested and later confessed that he committed the shooting in order to initiate a race war.
July 16, 2015: 2015 Chattanooga shootings: Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez opened fire on two military installations in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He first committed a drive-by shooting at a recruiting center, then traveled to a naval reserve center and continued firing. He was killed by police in a gunfight. Four Marines were killed immediately, and another Marine, a Navy sailor, and a police officer were wounded; the sailor died from his injuries two days later. The motive of the shootings is currently under investigation.[96]
August 30, 2015: Hospital Bomb Threat in Mississippi: An Iranian national was arrested in Hancock County for allegedly making terrorist threats and assaulting two sheriff's deputies. His actions and threats led to a two-hour closure of the I-10 Interstate near Louisiana state line. Subsequently, the subject was taken to a local hospital, where he's still threatening to kill anyone who isn't a member of Islam or Muslim.[97]
November 27, 2015: Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooting: Robert L. Dear, armed with an assault-style rifle opened fire at a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic. Two civilians and one police officer were killed, and four civilians and five police officers were wounded before the suspect surrendered. Dear told police "No more baby parts" after being taken into custody.[98]
December 2, 2015: 2015 San Bernardino attack: A mass shooting occurred at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, with 14 dead and 22 injured. Two suspects, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, fled in an SUV, but were later killed.[99][100][101][102]

I have this Wolsbane live album that is awesome. Blaze has kind lost his looks a bit but slways prefered Wolfsbane to Maiden.
Maiden is my No1 band, and I like Blaze's Maden albums - but I prefer him outside of Maiden - I think that in band he was kind of restrained or smth.
The Offspring - The Offspring last listened

I'm happy with responses in "my" thread
I find it interesting that there aren't many people who like both grunge and gnr in USA (it seems like it) but in Serbia Kurt Cobain and Axl Rose (also gnr and grunge bands) are usually loved by the same type of people.
Same in Croatia
Well, I see lot of bashing between Maiden and Metallica fans, but here - most of Metallica fans are Maiden fans and vice versa...
Personally, I started listening Nirvana 5-10 yrs after Kurt killed himself, I know that grungers were annoying me back in 1990s.
Also, I was annoyed about fact that after sucide Nirvana grew more fans around me . . .
Now, 20 yrs later - I see that that's the way music industry works - best way for growing sales i death of perfomer...

Buckethead's act is a gimmick, like a Kiss or Slipnot type thing. It is quasi-conceptual, an outgrowth of his fondness for Japanese culture, horror films and chickens.
smth like Lady GaGa - she can have great voice, artistic songwriting - but she chose to be a circus act and she is selling it - because of that, I can not take her for great vocalist or artist. Same way as KFC advertising pillar will never be guitar player in eyes of average audience...

The Stones were not touring between 1990 and 1994.
Yes, but Stones were/are/will be so big that their lack of touring for 4-5 years couldn't bring them down...
I'm not even fan of them, and still know/like more their songs than GNR even released...

Jst saw a vid Red&Black - mutch better than US gigs. Audience is live in Monterrey, while in US shows were acting like payed extras . . .
Is this normal for all US venues or coincidence.

I cannot argue that - I was just 11 when UYI released and didn't have any idea about global scene - just about my close enviroment...

in europe, metallica didn't tour in stadiums in the early 90's.
u2, the stones and gnr were the only bands touring in european stadiums.
Metallica played in Euro Stadiums in 1991 and 1993 (Wherever we may roam and Nowhere Else to Roam tours), also they played that Monster rock in Moscow in 1991 (nobody knows how many people) - so, yes - they were on top then.
AC/DC also played some stadiums in 1991...
-
in my opinion, grunge did not kill GNR's greatness, but they did it themselves...
They were big - no wide internet, no live performaces but still one of the most popular things in Croatia in early 90s... If I remember right "Estranged" was video/hit of the year(or top 3)on national TV music show. So as I remember - they were if not greatest, one of them while on their peak (ok after NKOTB )
Were they The Gratest in the world - don't know - Metallica was there, U2 also. GNR had potential to be next Stones, but they imploded as hell - so Stones were and remained the Gratest

One of the group's best-loved works, Back In Black, has achieved RIAA 'Double Diamond' status, for sales in excess of 22 million copies in the United States, and is America's fifth largest-selling album ever.
