  1. There isn't a definitive list of 'easy' GNR songs to play. It all depends on what you're good at and how much experience you have playing. However some of the more basic GNR songs include Used To Love Her, One in a Million, Patience, Double Talkin Jive and Knockin On Heaven's Door. This also depends on what you want to play, rhythm or lead. The songs I listed are very easy for rhythm guitarists yet contain some challenges for a lead guitarist. Right Next Door to Hell and Attitude are easier lead guitarist songs (if you can play fairly fast).

  2. Good shout with Since You've Been Gone and Highway To Hell (and on a similar note, Back In Black)

Depending what sort of music you like, maybe do some Blink 182? Easy as pie to play. If you're playing for sixth formers, maybe play some newer songs? Can't be too hard to knock a few Oasis, Razorlight, Libertines songs out. Mostly powerchords with a few fancy riffs. Have fun.

  3. HIYA.

I bought a WAH pedal today so decided to test it out improvising over an 80's style backing track. To my, and my friends surprise, it actually sounded good. I don't really have any of the usual excuses used here, I wasn't drunk/stoned/asleep/wanking/bleeding or whatever else has been used around these parts. Although I've been playing about 6/7 months, a relative newbie. so be gentle, but firm. That's how I like it.

  4. Thanks, I think it might be cos I've taught myself everything I know from tabs and that so I'm sort of stuck as to what to do now. I didn't just wanna be a cover guitarist I wanted to play my own stuff so I've learn some scales and chord progressions and that sort of thing although some days I guess I just feel a bit stuck what to do. I'm back on form today though :shades:

  5. I was sitting here last night, and I recorded a sexy beast of a version of Led Zep's The Rover and I was generally on form, today I'm a bit all over the place. I've only been playing a few months now but I have days when I'm really creative and on the mark but other days when I'm playing the same licks over and over again and seemingly lacking my usual musical talent. Quite annoying.

  6. Yngwie is amazingly talented, but he frustrates me... some of his slower guitar playing is beautiful and even his more bluesy/rock faster playing is amazing. It's when he goes all crazy with his shredding (basically what most other people love him for) is when it annoys me. I love the main riff to this song but after he's played that, he shreds like crazy which ruins it a bit for me.
