Aye after about 30 seconds I worked out (I don't know the proper names but..) it's power chords, on the E string 2/4, 4/6, 5/7, 7/9. Standard tuning sounds exactly the same with a lot of distortion etc.

Last night I had TWAT on my mp3 player at full volume with huge headphones on at full volume. That's really the only way to listen to that song for me now, it's immense.

I have loads of random ones, I like to vary it. Right now I have a Gibson one sitting next to me, don't know/care about the measurements of it, it hits the strings good enough

You know, I'd love it if nobody in the world downloaded them, I'm sure that would piss GNR off more than everybody getting them and there being no demand. In most cases it's not ruining the surprise of 'Christmas' by knowing about our presents (or 2 of them or whatever) it's making us want it more. IRS is a really awesome song, I really don't see a problem with downloading it either, it's not like I'm never going to buy CD, so when it does come out GNR will get my precious pennies and everyone's happy.

Does he say at one point something about playing rhythm guitar on this song? To me the song's about Slash and all the court cases and stuff.

When I bought my current guitar, I played a little Stevie Ray Vaughan medley, then some blues licks, Since You've Been Gone by Rainbow and Gettin' Better by Tesla.

I'd imagine so since we can record our own versions of any other GNR songs, I'd love to hear it anyway buddy.

Thousands of songs on it and it's pretty much how I taught myself guitar, I've learnt loads of chords and licks from just looking up songs and then mixing them up to create my own and such. Have fun.
