For my guitar style my main influences are Slash (naturally), Stevie Ray Vaughan, Frank Hannon & Tommy Skeoch of Tesla (Who are one of the greatest bands ever) and then all the big ones who are just too big not to be influenced by like Jimmy Page, Hendrix, David Gilmore, Angus etc

Keep on playing buddy and in a few weeks you'll see for yourself how they remember the tabs.

Yeah it's certainly a great one. Great guitar solo from the snake too!

Compliments the song immensely. One of my favourite songs.

I'm enjoying Phantom Planet at the moment, Pink Floyd I've recently been listening to a lot and Tesla are back in my playlist more and more. I've also listened to Christina Aguilera's 'Fighter' quite a bit recently, kick ass solo on that song played by Dave Navarro too.

I would have said Darkness sunday night although after listening to their album on monday they've lost out to Oasis. Their new album is pretty trash, I nearly vomitted listening to the last two tracks.
-
Slash will be there too doing a tribute to Hendrix. It's on CHannel 4 the next day for those of you in the UK.

better then anything I could do

Thanks, I just hope you're not some sort of armless chimp without any ears

It's my first upload to you wonderful people of the tremendous Mygnr forum (I'll start the kissing up early). I used GuitarPro for the "backing track" with some crappy flute thing doing it's best Axl impression. I stuck mostly to the tab although at the end it's just the boring power chord bit, so I began improvising using the scale used for the begging of the song (whatever the scale is, I don't know) and mixed it up a bit. I stuck a few bits of sexy improv in at random points too.
I'm quite proud of this, I've been playing for about 3 months now and my "teacher" has been ultimateguitar.com, so be kind
Thx

I'm thinking of buying this Fender Classic Series 50's Stratocaster (Mexican) (obviousy in gold not that puke green B) ), any bad/good experiences with it/does it look sexy as I'm assuming. I'm going to be playing lots of classic rock, blues and probaly lots of GNR by the way.
Any other info would be appriciated and I'll love you forever.
(Also if anybody can recommend anything better for £400 or less, please do)
Thx

Yeah, I loved his.

I actually don't like it, the solo's in Queen songs seem a bit weird, doesn't fit the song. Except We Wil Rock You which is classy.

Best of John Lee Hooker.

On a related note, where in the world can you find a flannel shirt without going back to 1980 (or having one of those big gay lumberjack padded jackets)
edit: actually not in the world, in the UK.

What's the point of those audio samples?

I'm learning some lynyrd skynyrd. No, not the freebird solo, Tuesdays Gone and The Needle And The Spoon.

In my one month of playing guitar, I've managed to play various bits of/all of Dead Horse, Tokyo 92 intro and KOHD, Wild Horses, Paitence, One in a Million, SCOM Intro, Mr. Brownstone, Civil War intro and the intro and Izzy's parts of Nightrain. They should be manageable for you too. If not stick your guitar in the washing machine with a few cats and you can play Silkworms
