So, who's seen this? Adriana Smith is back... with new info, lol

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/guns-n-roses-recorded-sex-8171275?

Guns N' Roses recorded my sex moans onto Rocket Queen and I wasn't faking

Guns N’ Roses groupie Adriana Smith has lifted the lid on her steamy role on the infamous track "Rocket Queen" and admitted Yes, Yes, Yes!... her orgasmic moans are for real.

Adriana explained how she and legendary rocker Axl Rose came to romp in a New York studio for two hours as sound engineers recorded her every sigh.

The 49-year-old kept quiet about her “contribution” for years.

“Steven walked in and caught us in bed together. He freaked out and was holding my hand. Axl was talking and saying things like, ‘You wanna join in, buddy?’ Steven wasn’t happy and stormed out.”

Adriana threw Steven out of her apartment, but they later patched up their differences.

In late 1986 she flew to New York to spend time with the band as they finished mixing their debut album Appetite For Destruction, which would go on to sell 30 million copies and featured Rocket Queen and other classics like Sweet Child O’ Mine.

Adriana said Slash urged her not to flirt with Axl again as it would upset Steve.

Adriana – then aged 19 – recalled: “Slash had warned me, ‘don’t antagonise Steven’. But Axl was naughty, even though he had this girlfriend and I was seeing Steven.”

She told how she and Axl left a bar together and headed for Media Sound Studios after the singer convinced her to help on Rocket Queen.

Adriana said: “It was all craziness. He said something to me about art and making this song and I was drunk."

“We cleared everyone out of the studio. Dimly lit, there were cushions in the booth, so no one could really see in. There were two guys in one booth and we were in another and I think they got a couple hours of recording of us having sex.

“It wasn’t really romantic, passionate or hot. It was kinda contrived, but they got some good stuff out of it. I don’t know where those recordings have gone and I don’t have a copy of them.”

Adriana said that at the time she feared the tapes would spell the end of her aspiring acting career. To this day she hasn’t made a penny from the track.

She added: “I was super embarrassed at the time. What if my Mom hears this? What if my Dad hears this? I am not a porn star. I was a stripper, who wanted to be an actress.

“I was sure that was not going to be good for the cause. It was sort of in my head that I had made this large mistake.”

Adriana came clean to Steven after Axl insisted her credit appeared on the album as Adriana “Sex Machine” Smith.

It inevitably led to tensions between the bandmates. Adriana said: “Steven is the opposite of Axl."

“Axl is like the moody artist, while Steven is the meet-and-greet person, very sociable. I think both were incredibly jealous of each other.”

(I've never seen this pic before :wow: Is he naked down there? I can't figure out...)

Adriana – now a divorced mum and with a career as a fashion stylist – continued her affair with Axl.

“It was a kinda on-and-off thing. Not dating, but we hung out,” she said.

Astonishingly, Adriana said Axl wanted her to go and live with him and his girlfriend Erin Everly, who he married in 1990, to show her how to satisfy him in bed.

    DA FUCK?!

“He actually wanted me to move in with him, so that I could teach Erin how to have sex,” Adriana boasted. “Obviously, I turned him down, and I can’t imagine she would’ve let that happen.”

Hahaha... Here comes Adriana out of the woodwork again, standard timing! I used to feel like she was pretty cool from some of her older interviews, but now I'm not so sure. No wonder Axl doesn't get back to you love, when you keep running your mouth off about stories of him. She used to say she had really tough times later in life after the Rocket Queen stuff, as she had sons and (understandably) really wanted to protect them from. Clearly not so worried about that as soon as there is the first sniff of limelight! Teaching Erin how to have sex? Come on... true or not, that's just a shit thing to say. She comes across as just wanting to hark on about old times to grab her slice of the limelight. Compare her interview to the one of Traci Amos that was posted here recently - another female who spent a lot of time around the band - massive difference. You can be cool and 'with the band' without spilling your stories to the press every chance you get....

Is anyone meeting up before the show?  I'm meeting with a couple of friends I met in Vegas, probably somewhere in Westfield shopping centre for a few drinks beforehand. Got my Axl/DC t-shirt and I can't wait for Saturday!!! :headbang:

Four of us who also met in Vegas will be meeting up for drinks in Shoreditch - all welcome....

  3. OMG so happy I finally have a place on this forum where I can post my frivolous Erin / Steph / Tracey & Roberta / Axl's ass posts without fear of ridicule and a "we're too busy discussing how we all hate Pitman" style comeback .

I can't read 10 pages worth so sorry if this has already been brought up, BUT wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the "other" GNR females - Desi, Adriana, Barbie etc. I was and still am kinda fascinated by Desi. Partly because I'm a huge Izzy fan and partly because I think (along with Erin, Meegan etc) she had such a unique vantage point from around that time, and I've never heard an interview with her, except for a few sentences in Reckless Road. I'd love to ask her some things.

I know Adriana gets a lot of shit for what happened too, but I also thought she was kinda cool.

Also agree with everyone on the Erin vs Steph thing. Stephanie never came across well, even at the time. Erin loved Axl before he was a big rock star, she comes across as a genuine person.

Edit: Some of the above posts are so funny - ladies, you're awesome

  4. OMG @downliner where did you find this?! This woman was literally all I wanted to be aged 14 years old, but info then and now was always so rare. In a purely self indulgent way, I would love to see her and Roberta come back for a guest spot this year (when I'm there to see it, obviously ). Will, you're brilliant. Thanks for sharing!

Edit: I've just seen that you submitted the questions?! Geeky fan overdose alert on my part. Wowser.

    Rolling Stone, 1992:

RS: One thing that has people exasperated is the late show times. Why do you go on so late?

Axl: I pretty much follow my own internal clock, and I perform better later at night. Nothing seems to work out for me until later at night. And it is our show. I don't want to make people sit around and wait – it drives me nuts. That hour-and-a-half or two-hour time period that I'm late going onstage is living hell, because I'm wishing there was any way on earth I could get out of where I am and knowing I'm not going to be able to make it. I'm late to everything. I've always wanted to have it written in my will that when I die, the coffin shows up a half-hour late and says on the side, like in gold, Sorry I'm late.

RS: What goes on before you take the stage? What actually makes you late?

Axl: The chiropractor we work with on the road tapes my ankles professionally. I kept twisting my ankles during shows, and it still happens now and then. I have weak ankles, always have. I used to run cross-country, and that was one of the things that got in the way of that. So I work with a chiropractor. I work with a massage therapist, because I put a lot of stress in my lower back, and with what I do onstage, there's a lot of rebuilding that has to be done. There's operatic voice exercises. And I started therapy in February [1991] and, Jesus, I'm right in the middle of stuff. I mean, if a heavy emotional issue surfaces and you've got a show in four hours, you have to figure out how to get that sorted out really quick before you get onstage so that you're not in the middle of "Jungle" and have a breakdown. The pressure of having to do the show when whatever else is going on in my life is hard to get past. We did a show in Finland where I just couldn't understand why I was doing what I was doing. I sat down while I was singing "Civil War," and I was kind of looking at my lips while I was singing and looking at the microphone and looking at the roadies, and everything just shut off. Well, that doesn't make for a very good show. We're out there to win at what we do. And if that means going on two hours late and doing a good show, I'm gonna do it. I take what I do very seriously.

Thanks for sharing these, I've never seen them before (and I've read a LOT of old interviews with Axl!). It actually kind of puts a different take on it for me. As someone who also has a VERY specific / strong internal body clock (but the other way around) that has had quite a big effect on my life, I can kinda empathise with where he's coming from. I always thought it was more of a "fuck everyone else, I don't care" attitude (and I'm sure there is still an element of that... I mean this is Axl ) but at least he acknowledges there is an issue and what causes it. Everyone else is completely right of course.... it does still show total disrespect for others to turn up late to EVERYTHING and would drive me insane.... but I get how if you're a total night owl forcing yourself to be early and switch on this amazing performance, that could sometimes be hard.

Sweet! I've just submitted a claim with one of those companies. Guess we'll see what happens. :)

Keep us posted dude. Still haven't had a reply from either airline yet.

Btw.... just booked my flights for NY / Met Life :headbang:

Is it ok to sell all your worldly goods and end up destitute on the streets just to fund your GnR obsession? Just curious.

Europe was never going to grt a tour this year, made no sense. May as well wait till the festival season next summer. Im betting alot of festivals will pay big money for Guns.

Maybe wembley dates are possible based on what has been said but thats about it this year Id think.

Yeah, it kind of sucks though. I've no doubt the AC/DC thing is personally great for Axl and at any other time wouldn't have an issue with it..... but UK (and Europe no doubt) GnR fans have waited a long, longggg time to see them back together and playing. There is SO much hype in the UK right now about it and people are desperate for dates to be announced. To then announce he is coming to the UK but with AC/DC.... and still no announcement of any GnR dates at all? Feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth to me.

There IS truth to the Wembley Stadium rumo(u)red dates (mate). Two dates are in the works right now, but there may only be one depending on ticket demand. I haven't heard three as previously reported.

I was always (somewhat sanctimoniously) surprised that nothing in the UK would happen until 2017 - totally get that they are a US band and would want to do there first, but they've always had such strong ties with the UK. They took off here quicker than in the States. Nothing can ever top last weekend in Vegas for me and I'm so happy I made the trek there, but two Wembley shows this year would be beyond AMAZING. I know so many people here that would be desperate to go.

Man, I wish I still had that book somewhere! I can remember cutting out pictures from magazines and gluing them in the book and writing their 5 individual life stories / how they met / the first gigs etc. I should explain that I was 14 at the time :)

Off to airport in 2 hours.  Wheels up in 5.5 hours.   Might have to get wifi on plane so I can monitor MyGnR!

This is what I've been doing for my last 12 hours of flying hell (flight delayed by 6 hours and rerouted from the UK to Chicago,  as with @downliner who amazingly and randomly is sitting next to me :D). Reading all your posts here has been keeping me going during this God awful flight!
