I hope you're right..I want to look at accuweather and see that its changed back to 80 degree weather and sunny..not what I"m seeing now!

If it rains every day I will cry. Full on sob.

Update: a lot of the forecasts for Thurs and Saturday just say "a chance of a shower" and Friday says "a couple of showers possible". I'm going with the ambiguity and thinking it's going to be sunny :D

Well im going  by myself so its kinda hard to plan things to do really lol... the only meetup is at NYNY thurs late evening.  I will probably hit the casinos.  Wouldnt mind doing some gambling with fellow GNR fans

Maybe join the line app group? There's a few people travelling solo on there and no doubt there will be plans made to meet up at some point....

Are you in the line app group?

maybe will be easier to organize sth through there...

    What's the line app group?

Ok so Thursday drinks (pre FB / Ashba meet up time) and something Friday too then. Is the Center bar in the HRH? Or anyone in the know have suggestions of somewhere decent to meet? @Dazey you seem to be getting there earlier than any of us, let us know if you discover anywhere awesome ;)

That was my concern, as much as I'd like to meet strangers who share my love for this band, I'd rather meet the strangers I've been interacting with for the past few months. ^^

Why don't we all organise drinks a little earlier than 22:30 on the Thursday (which is when the FB meet up starts). Then we can either join everyone else there after a few, or whatever.

Would anyone else be up for that?

I wish I could, but I arrive Friday morning...

Is there anything planning for Friday (beside the show)?

I'm definitely up for pool side drinks on Friday daytime, probably MGM if I can find some lovely person already staying there to get me in :D

and you will have a great time regardless. It's Las Vegas plus half the forum will be there partying by your side. Despite who ends up on stage you are lucky enough to be part of something many of us would consider a really special, unique bonding moment. It's not going to happen again like this.

Allow yourself to enjoy it for what it is.

TRUTH.  For me it's not just about fulfilling a lifelong goal of seeing them after waiting for 23 years (could never face seeing a GnR without Slash) but it's about how many fans, especially from this forum, are making the trek down there (some, like me, coming from different countries) to see them. The vibe is going to be insane.

Of course I would love Steven and Izzy there as much as the next person, but even without them, the buzz we're all going to cause is going to make it HUGE.

Marc, we all have our opinions, as always... but in my eyes, you've done the GREATEST service to GNR, both the band and the fans, that could ever be conceived throughout all these years/decades...

If the current members of the latest GNR incarnation can't see this and acknowledge your incredible work, then it's only up to them to step down the freaking pedestal and owe you an apology at this point in time.

    Hey, always IMHO.

    This ^^^^.... YES.

I don't think Axl looks GREAT, but I'm just so god damn happy he looks, you know, normal. He's not hiding his face, he doesn't have sunglasses, he doesn't have the moustache. He just looks like Axl, the 50+ year old rocker, which I LOVE. Yes, I do think he's still a little heavy and a little plumpy. But hey, if he continues singing like is in the videos I've seen, if he keeps staying on stage and clearly not running out of breath all the time, if he keeps looking like he's having a good time, then this is the Axl I've been waiting for for a long time!

Couldn't have said it better myself and exactly what I thought... He just looks a 50 year old version of Axl, which is how he should look. And at least we actually get to see his face, not just a hat and some sunglasses...

I honestly think it'll be just fine. A friend of mine got married in Vegas a few years back and the forecast was much the same. It never ended up raining and the temps were just fine.

I'm just being a brat. Even if it was snowing I'd still have an amazing time because I'm going to see GnR for the first time in TWENTY THREE YEARS!! I'm so excited I packed a week ago

I am really happy that Guns n Fucking Roses are back and playing stadiums! Hope to see them live in Europe!

But there are two things that annoy me in this tour which is seeing too many people saying "Axl's looking much better nowadays than  " and "His voice is back!!!!". He looks as fat (if not fatter) than in 2010-2014 and since 2006 his voice was as good as at yesterday's gig. It seems that playing with Slash and Duff makes some people accept Axl as he is nowadays (which is basically the same way as he has been since 2006)

It's an interesting point, but what I kind of don't get is why people would expect him to sound / look like he did in 1992? Do any of us look the same?

He's 50+ years old. Just because he's famous, doesn't mean he doesn't face the same inevitability of what life does to you physically, including your vocal chords. There aren't many singers who sound in their 50s the way they did in their 20s.

For me, I really couldn't give a shit if he was fat. It's about how much he gives on stage. His and the band's energy has always been the thing for me (and the music, obviously) and I felt like at Friday's show they had that x 1,000. And musically from what we heard they sounded great too (although would sound better with Adler :)). In concerts I've watched online over the last few years he's just seemed like he's speaking the words and seems kinda 'empty', which is why Friday night was so good to see. As long as he gives it 110% next weekend, I'll be happy. Hell, he could even wear the chaps again and I wouldn't care ;).

I agree I really thought Adler would be there. I can't tell now whether I think this means he's more or less likely to show up in Vegas. I know we weren't promised either of them in Vegas, but for a while it seemed Izzy probably would, now he's more out than in it seems. Then the possibly of Adler got stronger so that sort of made up for it. But now I'm not sure either shows up.

What I still don't get is WHY Adler didn't show up. Not because he should.... because it's always been "the three" announced.... but because I don't get why he is keeping so quiet then. It's so out of character and how he's been in the pat. I feel it must mean that either he is still going to show up (at Vegas I guess).... or maybe he's relapsed? But then if that were the case I think he'd be shouting his mouth off all over the place. Even though he wasn't there last night, I still feel like he will show... otherwise him being completely silent doesn't really add up to me.
