    Ok so because I can't focus on work AT ALL this week and all I can think about is Vegas, here's a question for everyone:

    Outside of the fairly certain to be played tunes (the regulars from Appetite etc) if you could choose only ONE less common song to be played next weekend, what would it be?

    I don't get the above image. That can't be the stage at the front because there is no place for the Pit. Also how will the seated floor sections work with that big display screen in the middle? Are they supposed to be either side of it? Or is the front of the arena the right hand side of this photo?

    Oh Gawd. I've tried to resist the voice in my head that wants me to do both nights but maybe I should accept that I'm going to need to be there and try and find a ticket now, rather than spending the whole of Saturday trawling the streets looking for a ticket and spending $$$$$. If either of them turned up on the Saturday I would never forgive myself for not being there.

    I'll take a look on the right thread, but if anyone hears of a ticket being sold for the Saturday let me know....

    If the Appetite line up shows up on Saturday night and not Friday I will sob. Literally. I hope for everyone's sake if they show at all that they do both shows rather than either/or.

    The more time has gone on the more I feel Adler could be there. I don't know what else would explain his total silence, it is so out of character. Izzy on the other hand I think is less likely :(

    But I'm still enjoying living in deluded hope. And no matter what happens, nothing can change how awesome it's going to be. Even if Axl sounds like my mum on stage - it'll still be epic.

    I was massively into GnR from the age of about 12-13 ('91-'92) and they played a huge part of my growing up. I was supposed to see them in 1992 but couldn't go as had a family wedding so promised myself I'd go "next time"..... they then split up, and I never got to see them! (Could never quite face seeing them without Slash and Duff, though I have friends who did and still loved it). So for me, hearing that they were playing together again (can't quite bring myself to call it a reunion till Adler and Izzy are confirmed) was a massive thing, and I still can't quite believe after 23 years of waiting I'm about to make an epic 24 hour trip to Vegas to see them share a stage for the first time since! 

    Their music and their message have formed a huge part of my life - not in a crazy fan kind of way, but just as a backdrop. Weird (and probably borderline mental) that a person or people you've never met can have such an impact on your life, but hey. I genuinely think their music and the message in the songs has had a really positive influence on a lot of things for me over the years.

    I think it goes to show that no matter what age you are, you're never too old to indulge in a bit of escapism - you can still book a flight to Vegas and go bat shit crazy like a teenager when they come on and forget about everything else for a while :)

    Yeah I was thinking that. My 17 year old self doesn't give it a shit, but my grown up self worries about these things now.

    ...and that I know he has told several posters including myself that all of us will get VIP-All Access passes for his NY tour stop this summer, which will feature the Mets logo and that of the board, and allow us free reign of the entire venue.  He actually said he may let any of us that can carry a tune up to sing a song with him, which is just fucking absurd. 
     
    I was looking into flights yesterday, and should I get the confirmation this is gonna be insane and expensive, but what choice do I have.  Today I need to tell my boss that I may have to work remotely next week because an unknown rock star might be getting me into a super secret VIP only concert in LA, which I wont even know about until like Thursday.  Should go well.

    Ha! Would love to be a fly on the wall with THAT boss conversation.

    I am massively keeping my fingers crossed this turns out to be true, it's an awesome story. Although marginally less awesome if you spend a fortune on a flight to LA and he turns out to be a Crazy. Good luck dude.
